Newer releases are DDL, unless I've been waiting all night then I'll just torrent or get them on IRC. But usually I'll get them from DDL.

Complete series, torrents. No better way in my opinion for grabbing complete series.

Love to use DDL and Torrents (best options for those have slow connections, including me). ^_^

I mostly use torrents for new series, IRC for older releases and sometimes UseNet groups. I watch streams for certain series like Gintama, Naurto on Cruchnyroll.

I used to use XDCC because I found that to be faster and it was easier to track when new releases were out, but since I've learnt how to forward my ports I just use irc to track new releases then download via torrents.

But watching a stream requires downloading too.
And I use torrent for completed animes while I use xdcc for airing shows.

And share if I'm waiting for a raw ova or something.

If I can find the whole series in a torrent that is the way to go, sometimes I even wait a few months for someone to put one together. But stuff that is currently airing it is usually eaiser to find a direct download somewhere. Or I go to a streaming site and use a flash downloader to download it and watch when I want.

Torrents, for sure.

Last time I streamed anime, I was cut off due to licensing issues. I swear I was on the verge of marching in the building where the server's hosted with a fully-loaded shotgun.

Thank god for torrents. Downloading 1.5 TB of anime though IRC and FTPs, having to burn ALL of it to CD because it was such a hassle to collect en masse (batch torrents for the win)...torrents and high speed internet connections are two of the greatest developments for the fansub community (throw the dawning of higher quality videos - starting with Love Hina being released using divx - in as well).

I usually smash my head into the keyboard and hope that the torrent pops up. I tried searching for torrents for stuff before, but had better results doing my own method.

New episodes of currently airing anime, mostly torrents but if it's anime that has aired a while back or several years ago, direct downloads because any anime that aired around 2008, the torrents will be super slow.
