What's your favorite anime genre

| I don't really mind ^^ as long as it's good I'll watch it. I'm not a Yaoi fangirl though, personally I don't see whats so great about it. My animes need some sort of humor though so I won't get bored but... I really liked Noir for some reason. I also like animes with some sort of romance in it (Well.. if you think about it any anime can have some sort of romance in it). I'm drawn to tear-jerkers for some reason :( I dunno why. |

| Harems are my favorite. What single straight guy wouldn't want to be the object of desire to a bunch of ladies. If you throw some supernatural elements, sci-fi, adventure, comedy slice of life its even better. |

| By far, Comedy&Romance (Romantic Comedy) and Action. The other genres just accompany these, and if an anime doesn't even have a single one of these elements, I'm gone. Lol |

| when I think about it, I often really love seinen, for its "serious" action stories mixed with generally good character development, so much better than the silly shounen action stuff that I usually don't even bother with. When I am feeling mindless and in need of some pretty boys though, I watch shoujo XD |

| Generally am open to watchi or try anything new that haven't heard or seen anything about. Found countless gems from pure luck in borrowing some friends tapes/dvd's and was pleasatly surprised. Good anime can blend multiple levels of storytelling into the plot such that even the biggest gearly tears drama can have its moments of pure comedy that help balance everything out. Laetly find myself seeking out old skool and true Anime classics. Have already watched a few main ones, but still am working on Matsumoto's works (Galaxy Express 999, Harlock Sage, Queen Emeraldas among otheres). While it may not look as pretty on your screen being over 30+ years old, it comes up in spades when it comes to character development and storytelling. No fancy machines to really on or fabricate eye candy, old fashioned was a pashion of love for the artform. Animation was all about the characters and storytellng; not just flashing breasts aronud in order to increase sales. Funny how 50+years ago with Astro Boy and other pioneer animations that many of their predictions about the future development of the industry was right on the mark. Wonder when we're finally give these such esteemed veterans the props they deserve and continue to work so we can learn from their wisdom and what kind of impact they had on anime. |

| I am not really picky, but I don't like animes that are centered completely around one genre. I like a good supernatural/fantasy/scifi anime that has romance and comedy, epicness and some mystery/psychological. Yeah, I know, there is no such anime... |
