A confession via time capsule eh.

Rin's little chuckle when Eiji told her he would stay with her on the call until she would fall asleep was so cute lmao. Small steps to the big moment indeed. At this point, I don't rally care about how time passes by fast as hell anymore, but how the HELL are back in winter...

In terms of steps, thankfully Rin got the push by her friend to take a LEAP and hopefully confess after the play, because poor Rin was ready to kiss Eiji... but they turned the lights off. LOL. At least we didn't get trolled in the confession department. Because actual fucking buzzer beater, with it being the last day of their high school and all.

Them putting the credits like that instead of the ED gives final episode vibes, but we still have their adult life to see for the rest of the season. It really only gets better from here.

So its that time already eh, our dear Senpai-kun is finally graduating ... a happy moment in ones life for sure, but for our Rin not so much, as it would mean an inevitable split between the two ...

But in the end nothing of the sort happened, as our protagonists finally made it official, took them a while to make it propper.

Manly tears where shed, but the story continues :).

Yeah mind you, the confession still hasn’t been made official, but somehow these two keep getting the same one way or the other lol. Was hilarious how that one letter they got out of an ancient time capsule was written by a person named Rin as well. Has to be something in the name itself xD But yeah, when you realize Eiji is about to graduate and it’ll be lonely for Rin from here on, that does kinda make you sad.

Though hey, at least for the time being they’re fully at it with calling by first name basis or playing their part in that play lol. Let’s pretend btw there was no kiss( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). Still I don’t remember how it went in the manga, but I think it would’ve been good enough if they didn’t cut the confession. Though again maybe we’re just at the halfway mark and they wanted that to happen a bit later, so kind of makes sense. Also I mean, it’s the feelings which should be counted and not the right words or something. Still a beautiful episode.

This wont surpass Furuba or Kimi ni todoke as the overall GOAT romance, but I think when you look at what it is, this is surely one of the greatest gag romances of all time right up there with Takagi-san. It’s impossible to watch these episodes and not start giggling or blushing with how cute and pure Eiji and Rin interactions are and this episode in particular was the best.

I had to keep double checking that this wasn’t the finale because it did feel like the end or the story with Eiji graduating and all but thankfully we have a full 12 episodes 🙏🏾 Them pretending to be in the same class was so damn cute. Hearing Rin call Eiji by name had me feeling the same way he had to be lol.

The Snow White play was also great but I hate they cut out the lights right before the kiss lol. Then we got blue balled on the confession as well. They don’t seem to be acting any differently at Eiji’s graduation ceremony.. but then again Rin’s friend already told her that just letting Eiji know how she feels is more than enough.. so maybe that’s what she did and they still just continued on since they’re de facto dating already

Looking forward to the post graduation stuff though! With them not being able to see each other on the daily I bet Eiji will be down so bad for her lol

Feels really baited lol, the way the scenes cut and the credit crawl, literally playing with viewers heart.

Still a sweet episode tho, but more importantly where the story going next, post graduation story is such a rare thing, especially in the same season.

If Eiji didn't make his walking in circles so obvious, he probably could've had Rin to follow his footsteps for the rest of time (which is still very possible in a less literal way!)

Also, as adorable it was, the implied confession and them reenacting their first encounter gave off the biggest "final episode" vibes for a non-final(?) episode ever.

Absolutely adorable as always.
Loved the scene where they pretend to be in the same class, the one where Rin try to walk in his footsteps in the snow, and of course the play.

Now then, I wish they would have shown the accidental kiss, and the actual confession up until the end.
We're left guessing... but I imagine we're supposed to understand they are now indeed a couple for real (can someone who has read the manga please tell us if that is correct?).

This episode felt so much like the last one, it made me wonder: what are they going to do for the last five episodes?
Continue where they left off, and show us some moments of their relationship now that they're supposedly a couple and that Eiji graduated?
Or make the rest of the season a big flashback of before the confession, so that we get to see them together at school again?
Or a mix of both?
No idea what they have in store for us, but I'm curious and excited for sure :)

Whoa... that last frame of the title made me sad, I thought this fun ride was over, but we have more episodes to go.

Now that he has graduated, I wonder what they will do.
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

Okay, somebody explain me why did they cut out the confession, thus turning this outstanding show into a corny romantic comedy where the confession is delayed until the last episodes?

@Haustlaufivindi Pretty sure it's not going to even be delayed, they just implied that it happened off screen, which is, um, absolutely atrocious levels of censorship (not the right word) cutting things out for no reason. I genuinely don't understand how they could fumble that badly.

I love how realistic their love is, truly. They laugh and joke together; they feel so comfortable with one another and I genuinely can’t wait to see how the relationship progresses now that senpai has graduated. I haven’t read the manga but it’s hard not to when waiting for the next episode! Someone hold me back.

@VillettaNuSimp So Chinese censorship (I reckon Bilibili is a Chinese company) consider confession as an adult content? Wtf is wrong with these people. They just spoiled my favorite romcom of this season.

Felt like a true finale. Honestly, despite loving the show, if they stopped here I wouldn't complain at all, outside of no getting the proper scene for a confesion.
That said, they were basically a couple even without that like the rest of the chapter made plenty obvious.

Great episode, let's hope things don't go down now that we have reached the dating status, which usually lowers the quality of any romcom.

@Haustlaufivindi Oh I didn't mean like literal government censorship haha, I just mean that it seems like the creators aren't wanting to show intimate moments. Whether it's because they think their audience won't like it, or for "artistic reasons", or because they are delaying until the end of the show for a true confession, it's still censoring out a really important moment.

(censoring might not be the correct word, but they are at least cutting out the best scene)

I wouldn't call it a huge mistake, it is rather a bit disappointing. Like the sleeping scene last episode (Chapters 65.5-67). Things have simply been slightly altered.

Yeah this felt like a finale but thankfully it was not. As an anime only viewer I wonder if they will have a time skip of a few years or if it will simply continue with Rin in her 3rd year at high school and Eiji in his first year in college, we'll see. Also, did Rin actually kiss Eiji?? Because with the lights going out I'm assuming she didn't... and I was surprised she went for the lips as I thought she was going to kiss his forehead or cheek.

What the heck with this episode? It felt like a final episode, and what happened with the confession? Did Rin confess or not? Either way, it was a great episode, they even had an accidental kiss. Although it’s unclear if Rin will confess, based on how they act at the farewell party, Eiji seems to have made progress; they even call each other by their first names now. There are still five episodes left, and I’m hopeful it will end like the image shown in the middle of the episode, where they looked like they were married. This is one of the best romance animes currently.

Wow man, you’re telling me this was episode 7? Even the credits crawl at the end screamed final episode, I was worried crunchyroll posted the wrong episode or something since it has been acting up today already, but thankfully it looks like there is more to go, knowing how time works I wouldn’t be surprised if I blinked and it was the end of September already so it’s reassuring lol. That aside, this was another great one, the talk about time capsules and graduating made this episode a bit nostalgic for me, even thinking back to 2014 man, how different it was back then and even when I graduated in 2019, things are pretty good now too tho lol.

And this episode delivered on a lot of great Nanakura and Eiji moments before Eiji graduated, I especially loved the snow footprints scene and the “Snow White?” play, even if we didn’t get to see that kiss in its full glory, we all know what happened with an Eiji reaction like that lol. And speaking of Eiji reactions, good lord that scream near the beginning of the episode might be the best one yet, so funny lol. And it’s unfortunate we didn’t get to see what looked like a confession scene after the play, but I imagine it will probably be a flashback later, tho it does feel weird not getting it now, but the important thing is that it happened and we have lots of Eiji and Nanakura shenanigans to look forward to after graduation. It’s a sad thing to know we’ve reached the end of the school life between Eiji and Nanakura, but I’m definitely looking forward to what’s to come because this is something we don’t typically get in school romance anime.

This is soooo, weird. It's like a realistic, not-dramatic-at-all romance with MCs just comfortably getting to know each other as their feelings grow and they kiss, confess their love, and yet, it's all almost like a sub-plot to the whole comic relief thing for some reason. We as audience don't get to be a part of the most important moments of their relationship. They instantly scream "husband and wife material" almost from the start (especially with the post-credits bits), so you'd expect to be a part of this journey along with all the gratuitous payoffs it entails, and yet we get nothing except for holding hands and red faces. It is very, very bizarre how this love story is constructed is such a non-fanservice, or maybe privacy-respecting way. I honestly don't know what to think about it. I like the series very much, but somehow, after everything anime taught me, I feel strangely excluded.

And also, WTH was that season-finale-like ending? I got scared they cancelled the series or something XD

this episode had a vibe of a last episode on the anime XDDD glad we have more to go and see their dating life like :D

glad people dont rage about their age differance which is only 2 years.... since many usully like to demand for people to break up cuz the one in the 12th grade is a legal adult or some shit like that XDD
this just shows that an 18 year old and a 16 year old literaly dont have any maturity difference between them, girls though always a few years more mature than guys their age.

Dang, I didn't realize Eiji was a 3rd year, thought he was a 2nd year, interesting. Having a graduation halfway through the season, instead of as the finale? Also interesting. So now we have a Collage guy/High School girl relationship, which I don't see too often. Usually, they are just in the same grade, makes it easier to write that way, for the exact reason of not having to worry about one graduating before the other. Really curious to see where things go from here, now that they don't have the drama club/school as a common ground for them to hang out.
