This arc ended on an okay note.
Of the past 4 major arcs I have to say this was probably my favorite or second favorite. It was better than provisional licensing and school festival because there was actually some plot development, but I think it was slightly worse than overhaul. Overall for the arc: 5/10. I expect big things next week and onward.

It was quite the quick characterwise for Midoria but sadly his powers don't keep up with it. On the other hand this means we will get many more seasons. But some fast developement wouldn't have been the end of the world, because everything else takes it time in this anime.

Everyone did great! Mineta, how unbelievable! Guess it's very Mineta, so it's to be expected what is his true goal was >_>; It was very risky for Monoma to try and use Deku's quirk, but glad he didn't activate it or we all know what could have happened... Mina wanted to hear some confession come out from Uraraka, and that blushing is so obvious >w> Deku could have blushed too! It could be too funny to watch both of them getting nervous X3 Can't wait to start the next arc! It's going to be hype!

Of course Mineta can't resist the horny at any given time xD. There isn't much more character to him

Honestly, I can't say I enjoyed this fight. The other 4 fights were at least decent & had their enjoyable moments. I can't say this isn't bias since I'm not the biggest fan of Deku.

Although I loved Monoma. I'm slowly starting to like him as a character. Probably my 6th or 7th favourite character so far. His tricks & manipulation made the fight much more interesting imo.

Would've preferred Shinsou's team to win but a draw would've been just as annoying as Deku's team getting that victory.

Overall kind of an underwhelming arc. My favourite match will most likely remain as Bakugou's match. But the rest of the fights had their entertaining moments I guess.

It was an alright episode... I was getting really tired of the constant flashbacks. Was I the only one that wanted Uraraka to hurry the frick up putting Monoma inside the cage? She was just standing there for good 3 secs or so.

I enjoyed Shinso's character development in this arc though!

FINALLY this god damn arc is over, can't believe whe spent 12 episodes on what's barely two volumes in manga form.

Episode was okay, all the ending action sequence were pretty cool but the rest was painfully stiff, and some of y'all can go "but the episode was a lot of talking" yeah and they didn't do shit to make the talking interesting.

I still want to say that I really like Shinsou's role in that arc, he's amost its only redeeming quality lol.

So now that we're done, I can say that Bones did a really REALLY good job with the adaptation, if you forget about the content, it was a pretty damn strong display of great animation and storyboards, with probably more consistent creativity than the show has ever seen. Ofc not every single episode was impressive, but the 8-9-10 strech was super enjoyable all the way throught.

The only real downside is once again the pacing, some episodes were really hard to get through even with mostly strong visuals.

The arc in the anime is a light 7, a full point higher than its manga counterpart. Now onto the good stuff of the season (I hope)

Shinsou & Aizawa (;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)(;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)(;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)(;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)(;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`) Aizawa can relate to him & is totally looking out for him. I’m so glad for Shinsou♡

I didn’t hate this arc but then again I love bnha so I’m biased. I loved seeing how far everyone has come & damn, OFA is manifesting in him faster than Deku can handle. I’m worried for him. And excited!!!!!

Uraraka & Deku make a great pair ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) her going to calm him down during the rampage was such full circle feels with him helping her during the test back then.

Can’t wait to see Eri again. And HAWKS

but i’ll probably remember over and over again

I have never seen a show use so many tricks to minimally animate an episode like that ever. Flashbacks, pans of static characters, speaking with their back to the "camera" or at a distance so the mouth didn't have to be animated, or not even showing their face. Just awful, I expect more from this show and studio.

Studio was just being faithful and following the manga, the source material had the same exact stuff as what the episode had.

You don't seem to understand the difference between anime and manga. An anime takes a static scene from a manga and makes the characters actually move. Drawing a character in a static pose and them pulling that character in that pose across a background is the cheapest laziest form of animation. It takes one frame to draw and even you could do it by tracing the manga.

And how exactly is the studio supposed to animate a short panel where the MC is literally flying in the air and doing nothing but looking up? That panel was short as shit and quickly transitioned to shinsou escaping. There was no difference in the manga, the studio dealt with that and ended it in 2 seconds short cause they knew it’s a waste since the source material didn’t fix it or add any effort in it. Again, studio was being true to the source material.

i could care less about your other complaints, i’m only explaining the animation part of this episode which is my only concern which is the whole point of my comment.

And that one scene i was “defending”, was barely relevant in the whole episode. I was thoroughly explaining on how that scene came to that conclusion. Literally the only still shots were relevant in deku vs shinsou, and those only lasted for like fucking 2 seconds or three.

The rest of the episode was animated normally, it having no sakuga doesn’t mean it’s bad animation. It’s just regular animation which is nothing big to complain about.

yes there you go, you got the whole point of my comment which wasn’t hard to understand, there was only still shots that lasted 2 seconds.

Well as a continuation to what I wrote for the last episode, I guess the seven new quirks won't make Izuku Midoriya overpowered as according to him, he needs full mastery of One For All before he can even use Black Whip and there is no telling as to what the other quirks will be or how strong they are.

This episode was absolutely amazing and definitely a favorite of mine for the season thus far (keep in mind that I don't watch MHA subbed so I'm referring exclusively to the Dub). The music that was going along with the fight fit in perfectly. I can really feel how hard everyone was trying in order to come out on top.

Mineta has drastically improved in the use of his quirk. Not only can he capture people with it, but he used his balls as a trampoline in order to make himself travel faster and entrap Yui Kodai and Nirengeki Shoda. They couldn't really do much as he was too quick and didn't give them time to plan anything out. He also used his balls to save Ashido from Shoda's Twin Impact attack (while also getting to feel Ashido's breasts as he flew in like the classic perv that he is).

Uraraka showed off her Gunhead Martial Arts yet again to instantly subdue Monoma when he tried to bluff having OFA copied. Trusting Midoriya to take down Shinso, she went in and helped out Ashido and Mineta, which was the right decision. Thereby Class 1-A got the dub as I expected

I also had a feeling since Episode 9 that Monoma was going to pull a blank since he mentioned that was a possibility, especially given that OFA can't be taken unless the user willingly gives it up. At the same time though when I saw the Full Cowling effect I thought he was actually able to copy it but apparently he only showcased the sparks, which confused me when it ended up being a blank. I wonder what other quirks Monoma has failed to copy. I'm assuming he's failed at least once giving that a blank was even brought up in the first place.

Anyways I'm excited for when Midoriya is actually able to control Black Whip.

Okay Deku will get more quirks with that? He was OP to begin so he is now another mainstream protagonist, I am out.

I don't drop series but after this finish I probably will not watch the rest.

I loved all the battles except this one, so I feel bad about it.

Izuku Midoriya was never overpowered to begin with. If so, then he loss against Bakugo after the Provision Licensing Exam doesn't make sense and the fact that he barely won against Overhaul. If Eri wasn't present in that fight he would've broken himself and probably died to the dude.

Solid conclusion to the Class A VS Class B training, although I do think it ended a bit quickly. Shinzo got fucked in the ass by Deku but looking back that makes sense, as he didn't have a quirk to help him fight. All in all pretty good episode.

Mineta you man of Cultured, even in serious moment he could still find a way for Pervert thing... Lmao
I respectf that.

Uraraka did good, I'm starting to like her character more and more.

It's kinda good to see how frustrated Shinso is, this is the Hero Course.

Good conclusion Class 1-A won.

Now to find out the mystery behind One for All Power...
In the preview Deku said it has 6 more quirk but it kinda sounds like All for One right?
Interesting to see what's next...

Uraraka had a great episode, liked her a lot here. Especially when she just knocked out that girl in one swift move and how she responded to Monoma. Though I have to say, she literally did nothing for jumping and staying with midoriya. Everyone said how amazing she was and all sorts of things but she was literally useless, would have liked it if she didn't do that. Still, I liked her in this episode.

I'm really looking forward to the talk between All Might and Deku!!! Also Welcome Shinsou, hoping he comes to 1-A.

And we finally reached the end of the tournament between Class 1A and 1B. Deku's team managed to attain a perfect victory, though not as flawlessly as Bakugo did where all of his teammates are unscathed. It has been a rather fun competition but as a manga reader, not something that I looked forward to this season, hence why I started watching this season months after it aired.

Loved how everyone was just so humble at their mistakes and understands how much more they could improve down the line.

So the fights ended!!!

It was a good fight between them. It would have been easier to win for Deku if his quirk was stable enough. I wonder how All-might was able to master it so fast. Also All-might didn't got any vestiges and probably he is not in the rank of One For All.

Good thing Shinso passed. His team members were amazing but too much depended on their quirk. Ashido and Mineta did well. In times like these Mineta does something shocking always. His perversion aside he is an amazing fighter. Uraraka is also amazing in this case specially after the training from Gunhead. But I don't think her costume has the best shoes for these kind of stuff.

Well Class A wins. No surprise there.

Shinso is pretty powerless if the brainwashing isn't activated. He'll need to polish up his own combat skills

Hopefully we'll learn more about OFA later on.

Deku X Uraraka all the way.

Mineta the cheeky bastard did it lol

1. MINETA gets his reward even before the match concluded!

2. The match ended with MIDORIYA's team-A win. Class A becomes the overall victor.

3. There are no hard feelings left in SHINSO, and he's willing to improve with a mentality of 'Plus Ultra'.

4. URARAKA got teased, and her blushing face was adorable!

As those with powerful quirks are written to have handicaps in place (which usually is something the along the lines of not being able to use said power excessively), those with less combat-effective quirks are written to have a way to fight as well. Some of them at least. For instance, Ururaka just makes things float, should she find herself in a 1 on 1 situation, she is most likely losing that fight. However, thanks to the arc with the internships, she has developed a form of martial arts, and can now somewhat fend for herself. And now with Shinsoo, it looks like mr. aizawa recognized that he needs something else to assist him, has trained him with the scarf of death.

Deku, on the other hand, is getting overpowered really quickly. Sure they made it clear that he can't handle it all yet, but does this mean he has like 6 or 7 quirks lying dormant in his body, waiting to be used until he has truly mastered one-for-all? For now they're giving him the drawback of well, he can't really use it as of yet. But once he does, man would be able to go toe-to-toe with All-for-One as All-might did, and probably even beat him with all the quirks he has within one-for-all, along with just having it give his physical body insane boosts. I can only imagine how a mature Deku is later down the line in the manga.

Shouldn't what Monoma did count as cheating? The cage is a stand in, they don't want the students to bash their heads in. He was "no longer able to fight". In a real fight, he'd be unconcious, dead, or blocked by someone like Erazer etc. He was out, and yet he used his quirk to influence the match. It did nothing as we saw, but thats not the point.

The teachers are weird sticklers to the rules in one moment, and in others they completely forget them.

Similarly, Vlad and his constant biased commentary. It's a running gag in the show, but it's a horrible thing to do for real. Not only *can* it actually influence the match when one team is getting constantly praised and the other gets nothing, it can have lasting influence.

And Shinso has to prove that he's ready to be hero, getting a "passing grade" (so, not good, barely managed to get in?) while they turn a blind eye to both these things.

Anyways, Uraraka stole the show. They just *had* to throw in another "standing there several seconds doing nothing for no reason at all" that plague team A the whole season when she put Monoma in the cage, but overall she was phenomenal.

good wrap up to the combat training
deku surprises me every time he fights lol
so within a couple minutes, he discovers a new facet of his quirk and a couple minutes later is able to control it for a couple seconds. amazing
it's great how shinso realizes that even tho he's improved, so has everyone else. when he faced off against deku you could tell he was trying to use the techniques that eraser taught him, but was overpowered by deku in the end.
and the amount of trust uraraka has in deku is so admirable uwu she listened to him when he said that she should support the others and let him handle shinso
uraraka and ashido held down the fort and whupped class b's butts
ofc mineta had to be a pervert but at least he was useful in the fight
that monoma guy, although extremely annoying, is a good opponent. the fact he can store multiple copied quirks within him is impressive.

both classes were impressive and put up good fights, but i'm glad class a came out on top. ngl, i did doubt deku and his group would pull out the w but i'm glad they did.

and the ending when eraser reveals that shinso passed ^^ happy for him! he deserves it!
his response to passing was refreshing as well since he said he will work harder and harder and climb higher! excited to see his future as a hero

I'm glad with Shinso, passing the obvious transfer Exam. Welcome to the hero course club then! What class he enter? I assume B class. While Deku still unable to fully master his newly unlocked OfA power, he's doin his best to suppress it into his own will, a little. Still a lot to improve, so yeah, new journey begin after that!
