| Lawful good = systematic, orderly, and principled, promote the greater good, while following established procedures or rules. Neutral good = best intentions for everyone involved, do the right thing, even if it sometimes means bending the rules. Chaotic good = challenge authority and break rules to achieve positive change, rebels with both a conscience and a cause. Lawful neutral = strict code to maintain stability and order, believe in and support the rule of law, no matter whether it’s good or evil. True neutral = lack conviction, don’t follow any moral code and simply do what’s best for them. Chaotic neutral = quest for absolute freedom and individuality, buck tradition and authority, impulsive and unpredictable. Lawful evil = follows a strict code, hierarchy, or system for personal gain at any cost, calculating, organized, and tyrannical. Neutral evil = lack of morals or ethics, destructive, corrupt, and out for themselves. Chaotic evil = self-interest combined with personal freedom, dangerous, unpredictable, and bad to the bone. | I'd say in Neutral Good. I try my best to do what I can for the people around me, ensuring them the best possible outcome for them. But if that means bending or breaking a rule or two, I don't mind. |

Am I lawful good because I have a very well defined and worked out set of rules for how to act so that the world becomes a better place, or chaotic good because those rules are very different to the ones created by the evil greedy ruling class leeches who rule society? |
| Last time I played D&D I was chaotic good. I don't know enough about the lore to truly say if there is any parallel to my actual beliefs (from what I can tell it's a rather simplistic structure), but I know that I find myself drawn to the chaotic typing more. I can't stand the "lawful" typing, since the image I have is of a corrupt politician or pencil neck bureaucrat. And I absolutely despise this way of top down thinking, in general. I definitely have my own values, so I wouldn't be true neutral, save for maybe chaotic neutral. But in general, if chaotic aims to maximize the freedom of the individual, then I definitely lean that way. |
