Ah, so it was the realisation that she didn't care for Akio and guilt over lying, rather than her having already cheated physically. Doesn't much matter when she already has to such an extent mentally, though...

I'm glad Akio was man enough to point out that she never loved him. I'm also despairing over how the author has taken great delight in convincing the sorry fans of Yonensei that Yoshino never loved him.

A subplot vital to Akio's characterisation in Yonensei was him never believing Yoshino loved him as he did her. But this was brushed aside as a mere self-esteem issue--it being heavily suggested that Yoshino did love him equally but struggled to express it. PRIDE. It's sad how it has come to pass in Gonensei that Akio was right...

All I really have to say is this: WHAT A BITCH! Yoshino confesses to Akio that she's been talking / going on dates with a guy she fell for at first sight - clearly indicating she doesn't love Akio - and then accuses Akio of playing the victim when she's playing the victim. As if just admitting it makes everything better. Then she can't even lie about loving Akio and says she's only still seeing him because the other guy is married. BUT SHE DOESN'T WANT TO BREAK-UP OR ANYTHING! What guy with any pride would accept that!?

I'm just reading to see if Akio gets laid a lot in response to this (the sadistic/cruel girl is hot) and HOW it's possible for Akio and Yoshino to end up together after this. I don't see how they can when Yoshino doesn't love him but isn't that MEANT TO BE the point of the series: overcoming trials and growing together as a couple?... I don't know anymore but I've given up on the series being good or enjoyable now.

Re-reading Yonensei, you would think that Akio and Yoshino was compatible without that much issue in distrust of each other.

They were. This is the author's attempt and re-writing history. Kind of like George Lucas.

Pointless blather. Soap Operas have better plots. The author should feel ashamed.

Akio commiting the same mistakes we all made on our first relationship... damm, it hurts lol
A couple has to define it's internal rules and likes and dislikes TOGETHER, guys. Never let things reach this point.

After Yoshino told Akio not to cheat, she does this. It's simply disgusting.
