ABEMA Weekly Early Release.
The first show of 2024 to kick off the year...and it HAS to be a generic Isekai.
Sizuk and harmoe's OST sounds decent, though a significant improvement for the former since the awful Iceblade OP, and I much preferred the latter's previous TsureKano ED.
27-year-old Akitsu Midori dying out of overwork and intervened by God to give her a second chance at life...reincarnating her at Asdyllon to determine the fate of humans, and as an exchange...she wants to pet fluffy animals. What a strong desire, with a new life as Nefertima "Neema" Osphe.
The gift of being petted by animals is a good thing, but besides Neema's pet dog Dee, encountering the sky tiger holy beast Lars who gets acquainted with her rightaway and being teased by its Ikemen owner of Prince Wilhelt and even meeting King Gauldi Russ Gache together, Neema is rather lucky she got to see the high officials already while being lost.
Even at such a young age of 3, Neema is taught magic, but her words precede her being Wilhelt's plaything...other than her black eyes being an uncommon sight. But the Osphe daughter Karnadia accidentally summoning a dragon holy beast, and Neema fighting to stop the humans from attacking it, what is exactly her point for defending it?
Nema is palatable as a character...but the entire show, apart from it sounding like fluff, certainly doesn't look like fluff.
I can definitely see why this show got a "significant" delay last year.

Is the god here implying that since she has a fixed lifespan that she is just going to die again at 27? Like. Is this explained in the source material or anything? I don’t know why but that line just stuck in my head and I feel like that for some reason is going to make me not want to watch the show. Was that line or plot necessary? Why can’t you just reincarnate her without giving her a short time limit like that? Or am I missing something?

| It definitely feels like the author presented her as a normal three year old or a 27 year old reincarnated women, whenever the scene required it. No consistency whatsoever. Either that, or she's just an incredibly good actress (even her monologues are split between kid and adult lol).... I'm guessing the former XD First time getting adapted and no other works in their portfolio, I'm not expecting the greatest writing ever... Anyway, it's cute and I like the premise enough, so whatever... |

Not really. Tensei (reincarnation) Isekai are about the protagonist leaving their old life behind & getting a fresh start as someone new. Considering their age reset with their rebirth, there's nothing wrong with acting like their new age, so long as they're aware of what they left behind & how it can help make their new life better.

| Well, she got a more interesting super power than the standard "able to blow things up better than everyone else" magic. She doesn't seem much smarter than a 3 year old and people don't hate her. Both seem to contradict what we were told should be happening. So there's definitely some flaws in execution here. |
| The expected wholesomeness and fluffyness was mostly there, but this has to be one of the worst handling of post reincarnation I've ever seen and I've seen quite a few. I was watching for the wholesomeness so I'll keep watching as long as it stays, but I'll have to say that if this reflects the way the young reincanated character handled her reincarnation AND the way she behaves (like a real child) in the original material, then this is quite the inferior product compared to the similar story of Tokkyuu Guild e Youkoso (which unfortunately has no anime adaptation, alas. Wholesome Megu Adventures and her boisterous faery company will remain non animated forever it seems). I'm a bit worried about the fluffiness part in the following episodes considering that err... Dragons aren't especially fluffy, but let's hope it doesn't stray from its promises. |

It's cute but....does the "all humans hate her" part of her power actually kick in at some point? Cuz the prince seemed to warm up to her pretty quick that I was a bit surprised.
Well....guess it's just plot armor/ineffective against the prince...
Also think it's a bit odd they started the plot at "just turned 3 yrs old" and not 4 or 5 but I guess I'm nitpicking...
