| RIP Chojiro Sasakibe, Lieutenant of squad 1, he was a real one. Even tho he didn't get much screen time, he still a g for serving old man Yama (the GOAT). It's nice to see Nel return. After falling from the sky to cling to Ichigo yet again. The Wandenreich invaded Hueco Mundo. And it is not looking good for the folks living there. This quincy army gives off Nazi vibes. Just ruthless and not full of mercy. It's cool to see some old arrancars. Aizen's two bitches and the tres bestias. |

| I thought the outro from the first ep would be the OP, but it seems like the OP has a different song. I love this artistic style they use for the OP, monotone with a magenta/pink highlight, and the song itself really brings back a lot of memories of the past Bleach openings, really hype-inducing wonderful. The ED is a contrast to the OP, it has a gloomier atmosphere and more depressing visuals dominated by darkness and the insinuation that the Shinigami are all being slaughtered. The song itself is more electronic compared to the rock OP. I love both the OP and ED. Though why is it that both of them end abruptly, that's quite surreal. DAMN! It's been forever since I saw Nel, She's one of those characters that I wished made another appearance after her arc, but it never happened, but now she finally did. I wonder if she could transform to her adult version, now is the time for it considering her entire world is being consumed by the Quincies. The subjugation of Harribel and Hueco Mundo by a force that has a sweet looking outfit reminds me of the 3rd Reich in WW2. The fact that the Hollow/Arrancar has a Spanish inspiration and that the Quincy has a German inspiration made it even clearer. |

| Solid episode, honestly didn't expect hueco mundo to become a returning location but happy we are seeing it again. I'm a bit surprised neither Ichigo, Chad or Orihime made any remarks about coming back to it, since the first and last time they went all of their lives were threatened every second and i wouldn't be surprised if they developed some form of PTSD from the place. Happy we got to see Nel again although in really shitty circumstances, and interesting to hear how hueco mundo developed after Aizen's loss with Harribel surviving and taking over although it's now also in shitty circumstances with being invaded. The attackers get revealed to be Quincies and seems in a very short period they managed to declare war on Soul society, kill a lieutenant and mostly control hueco mundo already. Shit's getting spicy. |
