| Dazai isnt dying , author also knows dazai is just too popular for the manga/anime to be killed .. But that being said what are your opinions on other members of the detective agency.. do you want the story to show some actual death? Since season 1 I dont remember seeing deaths of any major character (hero / villain) except in dazai flashback. Also I saw this somewhere-  |

u probably know this but fyi for anyone who doesn't .... all characters in bsd are named after authors.... like dazai after osamu dazai and fyodor after fyodor dostoevsky and so on... and their abilities are named after the popular books they wrote.... like dazai 's ability no longer human is named after the 2nd last novel actual dazai wrote (last 1 is kinda incomplete i guess)....i have been reading it for past few days.... and it feels more like a suicide note and less like a novel(reference to dazai's suicidal tendencies).... so yeah maybe read no longer human.... fyodor dostoevsky wrote crime and punishment btw if anyone's curious(but this 1 is a real hard book to get through 🥲🥲) |

| nah, manga arc is definitely reaching its end. Its only fitting Dazai saves the world while sacrificing his own life for them. Its a fitting end. Dazai underestimated how to use Chuuya unlike Fyodor who did very well. It is that underestimation of Fyodor that cost his life. Also, lots of people died even tho they are popular. Like from game of thrones, sometimes people who are popular die, doesnt mean that the show will degrade in quality, infact it means the opposite. Dazai will show up again ofc, but only as a figment of imagination in Atsushi's head like a force ghost. He died like a true hero. |
