Episode was funny. I thought it was hilarious he drew a beard on his face with what I took was a sharpie. tfw his best friend is basically Aikurou Mikisugi.
Only thing I didn't really like about this episode (as in what I thought was off) was how the zombies left "Shou" alive. Are they only attracted to sound or something? They could've just killed him real quick and then went to see the sound.
Also would like to know how Kenichirou Ryuuzaki ended up in a love hotel with a zombie in bondage. It seems like zombification doesn't happen instantly but at the same time it kinda seemed like the girl was already in bondage when she became a zombie. Ig the girl could've tried to leave, instantly got bit by a zombie, and then Ryuuzaku forcefully chained her up before her zombification was completed, but that kinda seemed farfetchd. Anyways just nitpicking its not like it mattered that much.

I'm kinda salty that out of all the motorcycle types, Akira picked up the least convenient one for a zombie apocalypse, a Harley. No hate for the brand but they are heavy AF and hard to manouver if you're just starting out, a dirt bike or even any regular sportbike (or touring) would had been way more functional for this sceneario.

Guess that's also part of Akira's personality that as the sports girl from last episode mentioned, lacks vision and preparation. There's also the long winded rants that Akira and now his survivor buddy tend to go to in the most inapropiate moments, at times I feel like I'm watching the most beta shonen title like One Piece. I want to see characters run for their lives and plan a escape route not to listen their long soliloquis about how their previous life sucked. Hope they get a reality check beafore the season is over.

Also hope we get to see how did the survivors from the ikemen club did after Akira distracted the zombie horde with the rigged car. I'll feel a massive copout if they don't show up later on.

Bro literally jumped off a roof while stripping off his clothes. Kencho really does have balls of steel. Until he grazed them hahaha!
Kencho can finally live his best life with his good ole pal Akira.
That's a pure friendship right there. Many new memories to come.

Really liking this series so far and now I'm wondering, how would a stand cup comedian do in a zombie apocalypse. How many jokes will require him taking his clothes off, if that's his go-to lol

Great episode, as we're introduced to a new character. This show is not only a critique on the Japanese workplace, but also just being freed from the shackles of society in general; and Kencho really exemplifies that.

So it looks like the zombies are really attracted to sound. That's a big aspect of how the group can combat or avoid them. Glad at least the blonde host guy was able to live, at least for the sake of the little girl at the beginning.

Wow, three weeks in and this show is only picking up its pace further as a contender to become my anime of the year. Every single narrative so far has hit close to home and I feel like each episode has left me with tears of joy and a sense of enlightenment; almost like my soul has been cleansed?? This week is not an exception as we have yet another absolute banger of an episode featuring a new, insanely likeable cast member.

Happiness isn't always what it seems and everyone has their own struggles: both Akira and Kencho had actually been dealing with the same problem of feeling drained because of their career and the way that reflected in their dynamic certainly left an impression on me. Kencho had given Akira a piece of advice, "quit your job", he couldn't fulfill in his own life whereas Akira saw through the flashy facade of his friend but was too deep in his own shit to care about the struggles of anyone else, so he just ended up ignoring it by convincing himself he was the only one having a hard time. This perfectly captures how the feeling of hopelessness can and will affect a person's judgement.

It's often said that true friendships last even if you go multiple years without seeing each other and I definitely felt a case of chemistry like that between Kencho and Akira – their reconnection felt natural. Every interaction they had in the episode was packed with genuine heart and soul from their banter to their heartfelt apologies and mutual understanding and as a cherry on top, the execution of the roof jumping scene was outstanding in all aspects: the leap they took both literally to save their lives and figuratively to leave their old lives behind once and for all (easier done by Akira than Kencho) was so inspiringly fulfilling!!

i was so confused by the first scene with the shou dude cause i don't remember reading that, seriously thought i was watching the wrong anime lol. they really took 1 or 2 panels and expanded a couple mins of fillers out, actually kinda cool. unnecessary, but cool.
we got the nudist; kencho in the mix now. the sunset was a nice touch to the building jump scene.
They are improving the source material.

That melodramatic rooftop scene was the best part for me in this episode. Moreover Akira being a careless guy was established in the first episode itself.

They are not. It's a co-prodaction(which means Shaft did their half of the job) for this episode and probably future ones, but Shaft wasn't involved in the previous one.

Well, is like what people say, that God provides meat to the ones with weak teeth, that man had a dream job but he didn´t like it at all, he was making good money, able to hang around with girls at their prime or whatever, but he was not happy, he wanted to be a stand-up comedian. Even if this is fiction replicates very well many real-life scenarios. The main protagonist, just like me accepting shit from others because he did not get what his value was o though that this were going to change if he keep working hard, not giving up since you never do so, ut in the other hand there was somebody doing such things like it was nothing. I truly don't understand... 25 y.o and I don't get it, life is not fair, that is clear to me but at least you could get an explanation about why things are happening some way? While wondering this silly question world is moving, those answers that i'm looking for have been resolved centuries ago, but there I am as blind as a star nose mole unable to figure things out, but refunctioning about it in a simple anime episode that made me feel that no matter the place in the world, I would get the same question, even maybe the same results since I'm a idiot, someone that is not common or does not have the "regular" or "common" believed that I should have so that I0m unable to move a single shit, standing like the main protagonist but the difference is that things are not going to get solved by their own, the world or nothing is going to stop, no one can help you if not destroying my goals since are really, really complex and hard to get, even if they get done the final result will be odd for everyone, then battling again.
The bottom line is, how lucky that man was having all you desire in terms of success but sad to realize that nothing matter to him, I get that liar is not something I would feel proud off or treating others like garbage (maybe hat is my problem) but overall I would like to get that success that he had, but everyone think I'm crazy for for trying to persuade with every single cell of my body. Isn´t that what makes you a man? everything else is just a side effect.

But there are no Shaft or Shaft-associated people in the credits of the 2nd episode. Just the name of the studio (because of co-production)

This was really emotional ngl. I got goosebumps. Happy for Kencho and Akira!

I just read the manga chapter this episode adapted (chapter 3) and it turns out that Kencho nearly falling was anime original. There are several other changes in previous episodes too. Not saying they are bad, just pointing out.
the anime is doing a great job turning a mediocre manga into something special

I legit laughed at Kencho stripping naked mid jump since it caught me off guard. Ironically also was why he nearly didnt make it since he could have messed up the momentum. I like how they covered how other jobs can suck aside from just being overworked.

Akira being as fit as he is doesn't really make sense though with the job he had being a desk job and he didnt have time to workout.

Glad he met up with his best bud again and that they were ok in the end

Also surprised that I'm enjoying this (because I normally hate anything zombie related, since I don't like seeing people dying and getting eaten 🙃). The comedy bits hold it together for me, and it's cool still as long as it doesn't feel like too much is on the line 😅 Like also didn't want to see the people from the Gentleman's Club or whatever get hurt either 🥲

i am loving this show so far, verses the vast majority of zombie shows, akira is a massive breath of fresh air. I love how care free the dude is while also being able to take shit serious when it matters. I love how he was able to help Kenchou out and make him feel better in an almost impossible situation to live in, super excited for the next episodes!

In this episode, we see two opposite points of view. This is something very unique. In yesterday's episode, the story went so easily or lucky for the MC that it seemed like a trivial zombie world that's easy to get through. Having a new character (an MC friend) will make us realize that this is indeed a dangerous zombie outbreak. This anime is very interesting with its comedy seasoning.

I know fear takes over our ability to rationalize but Kencho acting like he wasn't going to jump was silly to see. My man, you are about to be eaten alive... at least if you jump and don't make it you most likely will die with less pain from a fall that high. I like their interactions though, I think they'll make a good duo.

dude bro what a beautiful episode
akira convincing his friend to make the jump, the sequence of events leading up to that, everything was beautiful
its especially amazing akira's unreasonably positive attitude towards his new life of being free, so to say
I think that it's possible that these dudes will be the ones who save the world from the zombie apocalypse tho what would you expect otherwise lol lets see
