Totally surprising show and I do hope to see a season 2!

Not going to lie, I wasn't a fan of this last arc as much as everything before. I just didn't care for the drama with the masked band, it felt lukewarm and cliché. The main cast of Konming and the friends directly supporting Eiko was the most fun as they solved problems in comedic ways. Drama is fine but I wish it was more directly about Konming and Eiko than a relatively newly introduced girl who was just ok.

Fucking incredible anime. Loved kongmings strategies and the epic soundtrack that played during it. Opening song was amazing. I hope Nanami and Eiko can sing together again. Their song together was so good.

It's crazy how quickly I just normalised all the absurdity of the premise. Really enjoyed this show, from the quirky characters to the historical references to the time taken to set it all up to the last episode.
I'm not a lolicon, you're just projecting your tendency to lewd 2D characters.

If your favourite character is Tsutsukakushi Tsukiko, you are my soul mate.

Been a long time since I've been here, I'll continue expressing myself freely and believe everyone should too.

Wow they made an anime look so awesome in just 12 episodes, when i heard the OP for the first I was hooked immediately and i wanted to check out the anime, I was super satisfied with the result that the anime brought me.

Eiko finally went up against the popular group called Azalea and it was awesome, they both performed amazingly and stood out to the crowd, Eiko's songs really are powerful, they even got me at some times, she is gonna make it big and she even got an ticket to perform at Summer Sonia.

Kongming was funny as well and that man knew always the plan, he had so many tricks up his sleeve to support Eiko, and I'm glad that he will continue supporting Eiko through her career.

All in all this anime was incredible, I loved every minute of it.

So why was a rapper recruited by Kongming? I thought the rapper was going to be worked into the plan, but he didn't do anything crucial. Was he originally to be used as part of the alienation strategy which Kongming decided not to use? Regardless, I didn't really like the rapper arc that much, and he took up a lot of screen time which could have been used to develop the characters of Eiko and Kongming more. Those two barely interacted with each other for most of the middle episodes, and their characters aren't that deep due to a lack of development.

I'm not really sure what to make of this anime. They didn't really utilize Kongming's strategy that much except for the first and last few episodes, so was a reverse Isekai of an OP character being OP really necessary? Felt more like a gimmick given how it was under-utilized in a meaningful way. And while most of the anime felt like a slice of life, Eiko (and I guess the Rapper guy) didn't really talk that much with other characters, nor did they go accomplish that much errands/tasks like they usually do in slice of life animes. As for a music anime, they didn't really incorporate the song that well into the narrative to have meaning and impact. The OP and ED are great, but none of the songs during the anime felt that meaningful nor impactful. A lot of the time there were character talking over the songs, that undermines the music in a music anime. The only song I can recall being really meaningful to the narrative is the last Azalea song since it was them being free to sing what they wanted.

I like this anime, the song keeps ringing in my ears and is easy to memorize. in terms of appearance, it's good. I think this story falls into the reverse isekai category, right?

Karesawa wasn't as bad as I thought. he did those things for beneficial to both the business and the girls.
Eiko she rocked everything.
Kongming He's the greatest strategist.
This was so Wholesome.

Infuriating ending, ruined the show and especially Azalea's arc. Eiko and Nanami had reach an outcome that was satisfying for both - then the show decides to have the women from Azalea forced to *apologize* to their manager for expressing their discomfort with him forcing them to wear oversexualized outfits ?

Idiotic and repulsive narrative decision, from idiots who support workplace abuse and sexism.

Eiko song was a blast!
but second song of Azalea was really better than their first one.. too bad the yplayed when everyone was gone
but how the instruments magically appeared?.. the logic of animation in this anime lacks.. but whatever.. the story is fun and good and the animation itself is very good

The OP music brought me to this anime, I was thinking it is some lame comedy, well there was not much comedy here, but it is fun inspirational anime with great music. Mostly thx to music I can give it 9/10, maybe I should give it a 10? hard to decide..
Well music is great, every song, animation is great and showing my beloved city art, but I think this rap episodes with Kabe ruined the show, too much of it in too many episodes like half of the story was about him and they didn't even perform any song as duo beside that ending song.. I wanted a song of them together in anime.. there was no point in showing the Kabe story so much if they didn't perform together just separate even if to the same goal...

I would like to see second season then it might be 10/10

I hate it when anime/manga that I enjoyed ends, especially when there could be much longer plot and when I love main heroine :P

I wish I had magic glasses that let me see real world in anime colors ;)

"Paripi Koumei, an anime created by P.A. Works, brings a new atmosphere for me. This anime takes the power of imagination to another level. How could it not? I had never imagined a brilliant strategist from ancient China becoming a strategist in the music industry, and it's all executed very well. From the animation to the portrayal of Zhuge Liang's character, who is authoritative and wise yet not rigid and open-minded, to the modern hip hop culture that is highlighted with the right amount and precision, such as the music industry competition and the efforts to achieve success. The way the characters' thought processes are developed to resolve conflicts they face, and so on, everything is depicted clearly and accurately, keeping the urge to watch this anime continuously alive."

Great show. Kabe parts were uninteresting to me. Maybe it was the rap aspect that made it seem kinda cringey to me.

It was a good outcome Zhuge Liang returned the attention to the real Azalea and Nanami went hard after unmasking. What was surprising to see was Karawasa the manager of Azalea from Key Time entertainment - Zhuge did research on him and it turns out that he originally had a band but he quickly changed tune because of the lack of popularity it had. Nanami and her band wanted one last chance to be produced under Karasawa. It was a good ending with no bad guys or lingering antagonists. Series was pretty surface level though apart from the stratagems. Nice premise too

Really strange show. I don't think it's that great of a show, and I'm confused how this became such a sensation back when it was airing (at least it felt like a sensation, from the outside).

It's a music show, but it doesn't really get into the music, other than "working hard," "you are talented" and "finding myself."

The music itself was just decent. Maybe because I'm not particularly interested in EDM/idol music and rap (but it's not like I hate them, either). The show failed to make me fall in love with or at least warm up to the subject matter. Snippets of stage performances looked good, though, especially how it showed the rap in full.

It tackles the music industry, the difficulty of "making it big" and the need for grit and shrewdness, but it's all very sugar-coated and simplistic. "Follow your dreams" and everything will work out, etc.

It's got a fun premise of Kongming reincarnation, but it's not very relevant to the story, other than the (mild) comedy and the many references to Three Kingdoms.

Kongming is a caricature/plot device rather than a character. The other characters are also pretty surface-level, but I guess Eiko looks and sounds cute.

It's just a mess of different story threads, ideas and tones. I guess it's pleasant and watchable. But after every episode I had to force myself to actually put the next episode on and keep going.
