| ep 2 was great despite the fact that i already hate that blue hashira that stole the doll. also another thing that annoyed me was how tanjiro cant for the life of him put the pieces together that the guy in his dream and the mechanical doll is somehow gonna be related to him. (i haven't read the manga so im not exactly sure if im right) but the hair and the earings and the fact his father knew about sun breathing makin me think he is a former demon slayer literally spells out "im your dad". AND EVEN MORE CONVINCING IS THE FACT THAT THE MECHANICAL DOLLS FACE IS BROKEN CONVENIENTLY OVER WHERE TANJIROS FATHERS SCAR IS AT!!!! ok but the whole "doll was made 300 years ago" fact does kinda break my theory unless tanjiros father is immortal or something.... ok now that i think about it that upper 1 rank demon that also has the same hair might have also had a wife and kids like Muzan did back in season 1... BUT THAT DOESNT MAKE SENSE SINCE HIS DAD DIED I THINK AND THAT ONE SCENE WHERE YOU SAW THE FATHER ALL OLD!!!! AAAGHG THIS IS CONFUSING!!!! im literally about to read the manga only to find out what the frick is happening. theres 4 different people with tanjiros hair and thats his father, the mystery man in his dream, the mechanical doll, and the upper 1 demon, and i guess ill count the supposed slayer from 300 years ago which the doll is based on. so thats 5 apperently completely different people with so many similarities that it's ridiculous that tanjiro cant figure it out. ok im done ranting. |

| Kotetsu the drill sargeant has appeared, at last! I couldn't wait to see that part of the Swordsmith Village arc, haha. It was hilarious to read in the manga. Anime did it justice. Well done once again, ufotable! I greatly enjoyed the swordfight sequences with Yoriichi Type Zero. Awesome animation grasping the dynamism coming from capabilities of that mechanical doll. Ugh, this episode would've been great if there hadn't been that annoying Mist Pillar. Very good ending. I think it might become my favorite Kimetsu no Yaiba ending theme. |

| I forgot how jarring are attempts at comedy in this series. Now that I think about it, this episode reminds me of Naruto fillers. Background character introduced to be forgotten taking a lot of screen time with its meaningless drama, awful humour, out of place technology creating plot holes with its mere existence, bullshit power up... How does a sword swing smell? How does that mechanical puppet even exist? You can't just hand wave it as a lost technology. It could pass as some kind on onmyou but not a pure mechanical device. How come we haven't seen any other examples of lost technology in two season so far? Why aren't they trying to recreate that technology, why isn't a puppet able to fight on even footing with a hashira used for guarding, training or slaying lower level demons? As a side note, contact crows suddenly have personalities? How dumb was that training and the whole subplot in general? First season was good but this series has been on a downward slope for a long time already. There has been no actual character development. They power up but act the same as they would in the first season. These kids didn't mature at all after all this time and experiences. And now we get crap like this episode in season three. It's just better looking Naruto at this point. Hopefully it won't sink to the level of Shippuuden. |

I havent watched Hells paradise yet. Even if I do, maybe I wont be that active in its forums thats why I wouldn't bother defending it. I am not saying that you are a random hater or anything but I just meant that some of these points dont make much sense (at least to me). I would say that yes the slow motion animation could have been better and Tokito's crow wasn't funny but saying both episodes lack substance is completely baseless. |

| Not sure what's worse, Demon slayer's "bad" humour or the select amount of users here that goes over-dramatic with their criticism of the series. After being here for a long time, it seems that nothing changes when it comes to discussions about popular shows. =/ Putting aside that little gripe, I thought this episode was good, although poor Tanjiro got treated like crap a little too much. Firstly from Tokito's cold responses, Kotetsu being a drill sergeant to him during the training part in the episode and even Tokito's crow sounding like a generic ojou-sama character with her laughs (which I did find funny, by the way). The comedy can be a hit or miss at times, but I think it landed more hits in this episode, which is a good thing. After how the previous arc ended, you can see how much harder Tanjiro has to work on his skills to get back to the same performance that he was at from before with how he struggled against the Yoriichi Type Zero training puppet. Still, seeing him getting better is good and he was able to break the puppet's head, which revealed an ancient sword inside. I'm guessing Tanjiro has now acquired a new sword to use long term to replace his last one, hopefully. =) The ED, sung by Man With A Mission & Milet once again, sounded good, which was backed up by plenty of Mutsuri in the animation shots used, which I approve of. Overall, I do like the OP song more and it's not far off the great song by Aimer in the previous season. |

| Tanjirou jumping in between and trying to save Kotetsu from Tokitou, because Tokitou keeps demanding the key from Kotetsu. Tanjirou then gets knocked out cold by Tokitou, goddamn. A crow that can talk, why not lol. Kotetsu gave the key to Tokitou and Tokitou uses the doll for his training courses, and he ends up beating the doll. Kotetsu manages to get the doll back up and tells Tanjirou to use it for his training so that he becomes strong and defeats Tokitou. The training for Tanjirou wasn't simple, he even didn't get food to eat, damn. Tanjirou did get better and better though after he ate something and managed to defeat the doll and there's a sword in it from many years ago, also it sees that Tanjirou learned a new move? not sure though. |

| This episode was good until this 10 year-old kid apparently got to decide whether Tanjiro could eat and drink. Stupid fucking trope but it makes even less sense when they're in a village and Tanjiro can just leave the dumbass kid behind and go to some inn or some shit. |
