Chibi versions of the main cast causes more madness and chaos than their older versions lmao

This episode was all over the place...in space, out of this world. The second half/segment of this episode felt like the stuff we see often in the show. Chaos in the classroom with a doll this time. Hilarious.

Oyuki inviting the girls out to talk about a planet that contains a foe that they most disliked, the cosmos teacher CAO-2 is the most fearful of all. Reason being, it's the girls' nightmare (except Oyuki) when they were in elementary school, and troublemakers at that to cause their strict teacher heaps of trouble, from short-circuiting it to shooting it with a missile. Eventually, it got to the point that through the ruse of escape, they flew to the deserted Planet Urchin and got the teacher stuck in a spike, leaving him there for eons. Same old, same old, CAO-2 never forgets his grudges, and the karma got him rightfully deserved back to the girls.

Ryoko making a voodoo doll to control her own brother Mendo, and who else than to hand over the doll to Ataru for a safeguard. Mendo absolutely suspecting that Ataru has the voodoo doll, and his antics are replicated for a double whammy. It got so bad to the point that Mendo would actually try the similar effect towards Ataru, it's a pointless fight lols.

It's madness hilarity.

Well Lum, Benten and Oyuki do make quite the grouping no many how you look at it. Even more so when you add Ran. The tension that came when their long buried secret was unearthed though was well done. Nice to finally see the previous gen's troublemakers get animated. Have to say though their pranks sure went pretty far. In the end im actually glad that CAO2 managed to get his revenge. Ryoko really has the most unusual of hobbies. The poor bodyguard though having to react to everything that Mendo was going through. Not to mention the lengths that Mendo went through to protect Ataru. Voodoo dolls really are potent weapons in the right hands.

More of Benten and Oyuki is always a delight. This time with some Ran too! Loved to see the smaller versions of Lum and her gang. Though I didn't care too much about CAO-2.

Oh, man. Gotta give props to where it's due. Mamoru Miyano's Mendo has improved a lot. His voice acting for this episode was excellent. And so was Hiroshi Kamiya's Ataru.

Any episode with Ryoko is amazing. So this episode was doubly great with all these characters. Almost felt like a classic UY episode.

That subtle Ranma 1/2 reference was very neat. Onsen Mark did the same thing but with Rinne in episode 2. Mendo also looked a lot like Gosunkugi after he created Ataru's doll.

Speaking of Ranma 1/2, whatever happened to the Ranma-esque opening segment from episode 18? Ig it's better if they dedicate the time for the actual episode than a recap.

Next week it's the
Can't believe only 2 more episodes left.

Ran has a point, Benten and Lum were the ones raising the weight, and shocking CAO-2 etc, but she did help support the missile launcher for them., so she's less guilty by association when Oyuki.
Mendo's witch of a sister is at it again with her antics.
Reading about Ranma and Genma Saotome in the English Lesson lmfao.

Man these girls are straight up offenders after everything they did to their teacher. PUT THEM BEHIND BARS.

Stuff happened in second half but I've a feeling I've already seen something similar a lot of times over the course of these twenty episodes.

After the delinquent trio episode the remake is adapting another favorite of mine. Smol Lum and her gang were cute as heck. I watched this one recently and as far as I remember it was very faithful. I feel like even the storyboard seemed almost identical in many parts.

For a moment I thought from the silhouette that CAO-2 had been impaled in the planet by a spike. Thankfully it just got stuck. I can't picture what it must have been thinking that entire time though.

CAO-2 finally go his vengeance on Benten, Lum, and Ran for being shitty little brats in grade school. Ryoko is up to her old tricks that involves tormenting his brother Mendo only this time it was a voodoo doll. Even worse is when she gave the doll to Ataru who is always is on the receiving end of getting hit by girls causing more chaos in the classroom. Mendo even went as afar as creating a voodoo doll for Ataru which lead to a pointless contest in who can endure the most pain.

It was interesting seeing how they did the CAO-2 bit here in the remake, I was thinking it was really faithful but then they cut all of the part where the girls fight back lol, that may not have been in the manga but it was fun in the OG anime, still loved it here in the remake tho, always love seeing Lum hanging with the other space babes, and they made Oyuki super cute in the flashbacks lol, and CAO-2 got a bit of a redesign which I’m a fan of, and even though they cut the bit short I did like the way this one ended with CAO-2 squashing everyone and leaving satisfied lol.

And the voodoo bit is one I haven’t seen yet and I really enjoyed it, Ryoko always brings the best chaos and Mendou was hilarious the entire time, also loved the fake out from Ataru where he pretended to be understanding and then immediately started tormenting Mendou lol. Lum also made me laugh between Mendou’s suffering with her reactions to everything going on. And man, can’t believe we’re already at 2 episodes left, but I got plenty of the OG to watch so it ain’t so bad. Also even tho I haven’t seen Ranma 1/2 yet I did recognize that little reference from Onsen lol.

Very "xd" the first part, they literally kidnapped a teacher and left him trapped for years, just like in Mexico lmao

I loved the second part, very random and despite already being a fairly used joke (I mean voodoo and jokes about controlling someone else), it's still fun, also adding Ataru's clumsiness makes it a little more enjoyable.

Not bad; but please, I want something more from romcom xdd

The voodoo episode was one of the funniest from the old show, and it delivers just as many laughs this time around - Something about that Mendou and Ataru conflict, and Mendou having to be nice to him, is just hilarious. The Ranma references from Onsen were also appreciated. (It was only a matter of time, right?)

In short... with the CAO-2 episode, I preferred the old one, but I felt the voodoo episode was on-par with its counterpart.
I told myself I'd stop comparing the two, but I really can't help it. Good episode all-around.

Don't really care that much about the eraser teacher. I'm still wondering why they choose to adapt this one when there are far more interesting or funny ones. I don't really like this one just as much as the OG one.

The second part one is just meh to me. It's pretty much straightforward adaptation. I remember the OG counterpart of this episode is one of the funniest episode there with a lot of goofy expressions. The remake one is just bland and a lot less gayer which is quite disappointing. I kinda expect Maison Ikkoku to be referenced in the next week episode about the jar one. Seeing MAO being used in the remake is tiring. Wish they never adapt CAO-2 and the kitsune one to be honest.

Didn't expect to get another Benten and friends episode so quickly! The pranksters really gave it their all to get back at their robot teacher, from a heavy weight to a rocket and eventually trapping them on a desolate planet for a decade. I think they got off lucky with being smashed with chalk! Ryoko returns in the second half with innocence on the outside and mischief on the inside! The clash over the voodoo doll was great and showed an honorable side of Mendo and Ataru even though it was false and didn't last long! Also them reading Ranma 1/2 in class is great. Talk about excellent curriculum!

Oh my god, they adapted not just one of, but two of my top episodes for this series. Part 2 wasn't as well done, but still, overall enjoyable. Also, arbitrary reference to Ranma ½. Also, if the next episode is what I think it is, then just maybe we might get a new cover of Fushigi Kirei.

In one part, they try to murder their teacher and then later desert him on a remote planet, and in the next one, they're literally making voodoo dolls. An unexpectedly dark episode...

Something I like about this anime is how the kids in Ataru's class aren't just plain mannequins of people but nicely-designed and capable of influencing the plot. This made it more jarring when this ep's first half put Lum and pals in a class with a bunch of notebook doodles who bystand as hard as possible while their classmates set up a death trap for their teacher.

Holy shit, loving the focus on the more sci-fi story character stuff, really fun.
The teacher segment was awesome, very funny concept.
Second was hilarious, like, probably funniest yet. Mendou's psychotic sister's chaos reigns even when she isn't near. Mendou going voodoo mad himself to get back at Ataru.
Nice reference in the class too.
Voice acting was super funny in this second bit. Definitely one of my favourites so far!

It was decent to see most of the main girls doing shenanigans as kids, but the second half was totally the best one. Even if Ryoko really should have a taste of her own medicine someday. Having a lesson about Ranma 1/2 was such a cool easter egg, the animation of Mendo entering the scene with the boys playing volley on the roof and his final Gosunkuji-esque revenge were also a nice touch.
