| A battle tournament huh? Meh, this anime can't come up with any original ideas lol Ray himself gets an important role in this. Amelia Rose establishes herself as one of the toughest fighters. Ray himself seems to have improved a lot since the first episode. Dude looks super confident but he faced against a girl with a rather unstable personality. |

| Ray becomes a member of the executive committee of the Magics Chevalier, a competition for magical swords contested by the three major magical academies. Ray watches Amelia, who is training hard for the school's preliminary round, Amelia suddenly nominates herself as a training partner. When everyone thinks that Amelia is at the top of her duel, Ray uses his brilliant sword to surprise everyone. However, Albert is not happy with the situation and challenges Ray to a duel. Albert, who emitted a strange deadly energy, attacked Ray with a sword. Ray vs Albert, Ray was able to remove Albert dragon magic with the sword. Sensei is betrayed, Ray fights sensei and gets into a dangerous situation. Amelia is still suspicious of Ray identity. Albert thinks that Ray is a noble who is hiding their status. Ray denies it and Ray still says that Ray is an Ordinary. Magic caster against sword user, it was an amazing fight. Ray unleashed his true power, Ray turned into blue hair. Ray can remove magic from sensei, Ray can also make swords levitate. It was a cool fight, Ray was too overpowered. Sensei become a monster.  |

| Its even like Irregular at Magic High School with the MC having anti-magic. I like how his hair turns blue when he unleashes his power. I always love it when theres an OP MC who has a part in great past events so its something to get revealed to the other characters. |

| OP MC, who doesn't act like a 13 year old, though his interactions with people do sometimes come off as contrived, forcing the idea that Ray is not an loser, but a MAN. A MAN's MAN. It's a bit much, and what I expect kids or manchildren who can't take care of themselves to idolize. That was some ugly AF directing, jfc. Along with the ugly art, it's probably the worst looking anime of this season. |

| When you're training for your muscles and walking on a girl changing to offer your apologies, only Ray White can do this, because he is da chad. Rebecca, there's no wrong being childish about your bunny panties, really. But hearing the fact that plants like the Venus Flytrap can invoke magic, that's unique in that world. The Magic Chevalier is upon them, and Amelia sparring against the Withered Ray, the spark of the Iceblade Magician within Ray stopped him in his tracks. Allum just can't let go of Ray, but there's something definitely off about him this time, thanks to the Eugenics. While the fight looked like a joke with Ray easily overpowering Alium, it's Professor Gray being the mastermind behind this that forces Ray to show his origin as the Iceblade Sorcerer. Couldn't get any more generic ass from this, what a showing. |

Still, I wanna see how he ends this fight against that crazed professor; I knew she was sus from the start, but dang, she so far gone into her belief she didn't think what she was doing was inhumane, tsk tsk tsk |

| I really hate this kind of anime MC refusing to kill and instead he wait until the enemy self destructs so that the MC can remain as pure as a white snow. This is really outdated. Even Bandai who is known for creating annoying naive MCs who refuses to kill created the spectacular titles like Thunderbolt and IBO. This MC not killing is so outdated. Dropped. |

| Well Amelia almost got her head hit off but something happened to Ray that made him stumble. Rays fight with Albert ended with the sensei betraying everyone (actually didnt see this coming) and Ray finally reveals his true powers, His friends are probably still watching him and after the fight with Shinigami sensei, he will maybe reveal his true identity to his friends!! |

| first half: boring second half: mildly entertaining this show doesn't really have anything new to offer; it's a collection of overused tropes. i'm still interested to see what happens, but it seems to be a very cookie cutter formulaic anime so at this juncture i'm unable to give any laurels. not sure what happened with his head in that fight, maybe he was about to act instinctively and he shut himself down before it could happen? |

| this is peak... hot dog water fr 🔥i remember the manga being a tad bit better but doesn't matter much. this had better cgi than csm tho ?! :p will still watch it because ray is a dense, musclehead, gentleman and RIZZmaster of an mc (and mrs bunny underwear is worth it) |
| okay so we start off with some muscle bros once again, one of the best parts of this show to be honest, before we get a short fanservice scene with Rebecca and her bunny lingerie... The best parts of this anime are assuredly the humoristic and lighthearted conversations between characters, as the supposed serious parts of the anime have so far fallen flat on so many levels it's almost embarrassing. One of the biggest issues with this anime is pacing, or more accurately the lack thereof, and giving the plot zero time to develop before giving the 'payoff' for some prior setup. We had barely seen the teacher before the end of the last episode, and suddenly from her having that conversation with him, we now find out she is a murderous maniac, somehow. How she got to that point, no idea. How she has any connections or any backstory in any way whatsoever to preface this sudden development, no idea. These things compile on top of each other, like the immediate 'payoff' for the 'only use your power when you have no other choice' line we got last episode from Ainsworth to just ripping that bandaid off and immediately using it the episode after. This is a development that could, and arguably should, have taken actual time to develop, with him not using his hidden power before maybe the last few or even the last episode as a last resort. It seems more and more like the anime follows this formula; okay so we have to preface this development with x, so just put x in the episode prior, so we can put y in the current episode, and then put z in the next episode. They are doing this with no thought or consideration for many vital parts of storytelling, which makes it extremely weak and uninteresting. It also seems the anime is suffering from a terminal case of lacking a coherent straightforward storyline, as events just seem to randomly happen with little to no setup, before just moving on to the next thing, and then the next thing after that. I can harp on a lot more about this, but I will refrain. Safe to say, I am very disappointed with a lot of the story elements in this anime thus far. On the upside, I do love Ray as a character, mainly in how he composes himself and acts around females. Not that his attitude should be extraordinary, but having a male MC that doesn't freak out, or do something super weird or creepy when presented with questionable situations is a breath of fresh air. His calm and steadfast demeanor I find great in that context. His general character also has some potential, pending further development. Another major gripe I have with this episode is the production quality. Now, okay, yes, I understand the studio only has the funds they were allocated, and I am sure they are doing the best they can with what they have, but the quality, especially in fights, is very lackluster. I don't expect Demon Slayer levels of budget and refinement, but at least something that pulls me in and gives me the impression of something amazing or powerful happening on screen. I got none of that from this episode, and it even felt dull on top of that. How the fight was set up was also very weak. I can only hope the 'boss' fight next week will be better, but I do not have any reason to believe it will be. This anime could surely have used double the budget to animate action scenes that would look more impressive than something from 2002. I will keep watching it, but this was disappointing. |

| Hmm I feel like while the author has an inkling of a general idea of what makes a good plot, since he lacks the ability to actually write a good plot, lacks the ability to narrate a plot into something good, and self-inserts a part of himself into everything, we end up with this very boring story that lacks charm nor essence. (but at the same time, since it's simple writing, Kodansha prob thought they can just insert his script into some good art collection and call it a light novel.) that has nothing to do with the production of the anime itself, btw. they really shouldn't take a project that they were not going to bother (or able to) give their all. really feel bad to the grunts and the seiyuus that have to work on this plan. |
| how long did they take to count to 1000? how can they stay in squat mode for that long? geez lmao next joining the club room and finding Rebecca in underwear, nice :D she was embarrassed about it for the next couple minutes lol interested in what is in those books, rebecca gives some information about plants that can use sorcery, how interesting she was quite happy to teach him, what a nice senpai gosh, while there's characters that use their parents name so they can do whatever they want, there's also lots of them that are the opposite, they can't get close to others cause of all the respect and stuff... Rebecca and Amelia are good examples Amelia practicing for the tournament, she chose Rey as a practice opponent, and people ofc blaming him, even tho she was the one calling him lol nobles are so annoying the fight was just getting interesting, but as Ray remembered something from the past, he almost blasted Amelia with that last strike, but stopped due to a headache lol kinda sucks, could have been a fun duel here comes the baka noble, ready to cry again, and his friends talking like he has a chance LOL i kinda wanna skip the next scene that as** lmao at least he gave Ray a sword, but then attacked before Ray could catch his as expected, as much as he was trying, Ray just cut through his mamgic, like he was playing baseball lol i don't care about his flashback, his father having difficulties is not a reason to hate ordinaries after the idiot noble gave up, here comes the next opponent, the teacher she is part of the bad guys (eugenics), and she sacrifices students for her purposes... Ray will fight her, and then talk about his powers with his friends not that he can hide them anymore, he will probably need to use them in this fight teacher, as part as the eugenics, has that ugly eye lol no wonder she hides it with her hair attacking the other students was a mistake, it made sure he used his powers, even tho he didn't want to he easily beat her, even toyed with her, was fun seeing her trying to beg for mercy justto activate another attack and still fail lol lastly, she used that drug on herself and turned into a monster... not that i expect her to be any more of a challenge to the strongest sorcerer in the world LOL apparently his power is also corroding his own body, so he shouldn't use it too much |

| I'm sure others like this series and that's cool but there was just... Nothing unique or interesting about this series. The OP MC with a mysterious war-torn background is probably one of the oldest tropes and they didn't even bother to try and put an interesting spin on it. The characters are painfully locked into their archetypes. The music, characters, and acting are all extremely generic. Overall, it's just a sub-par time kill that I've decided to drop. |
