| The backstory of Einar was quite basic but it was depicted quite dramatically. Interesting to see where this season takes us! |

| I have to say, visually I like it a little less than s1, but music wise I like it a little more... so... I for one am super happy. what a fantastic start, and hearing here that it was freaking filler while being this amazing, has me extremely excited. |

Woah this feels like a spin-off (a good one that is) until Thorfinn himself appeared, very interesting ^.^ Personally I don't mind if this were really a spin-off with completely new characters and not a direct sequel to S1 But now that Einar has met the OG MC himself, things will be getting better and better :) |

| I didn't think I'd be crying already in the first episode. This story of seeing the cruelty in those Viking times is too real, this masterpiece deserves more recognition than it has MAPPA you finally made me not disappointed in his animation along with jujutsu kaisen. |

| Here we go, it starts now. Along wiht Kingdom and Berserk, Vinland Saga's manga is one of the big three of Seinen. For a long time, it was assumed that no anime adaptation could do any of the triad justice. The prologue was amazing, but as anyone who has read the manga knows, that was always going to be. Everything past this will be the true test. However, I think it's in good hands. MAPPA has proven pretty talented at animating the slow and magnificent. |

| Yes, I thought it was awesome. It has that melancholic tone that I loved from the first season, with piercing but beautiful scenes. And the animation was stunning, I think that even better than the first season. This is going to be the best anime this year to me. |

| Farmland Saga is here!! what an heavy first episode for our new character Einar. Jesus, i forgot how fck up this slavery shit was. Damn i want to know how many years this timeskip for Thorfinn. |

The final scene of the first season finale is better than this entire episode. Also what kind of opening is this? How dare they put this weak song after Mukanjyu and Dark Crow. They could have at least got Sim to do the opening. Twin Engine is the one who decide, who will animate the season not the animation studio. MAPPA is just the name atached to the anime, if Twin Engine wanted the anime to look different, they have the animation studio for that, it is Kafka. |

| Episode was fine until the captured part just fking was jarring >Young girl gets captured by raiding warband but doesnt get raped, instead gets killed for some reason and not even raped after being killed >Brother of said Young Girl doesnt get killed for trying to fight back but his sister does very realistic and in touch with how vikings acted towards their captured enemies |

| I thought we were witnessing another Thorunn in the making, it seems the sorry is being told from the future by this new character. I was so good to see Thorfinn again. He looks completely broken. |
| Great stuff, nice additional backstory for Einar. I hope anime onliers are ready for the path Vinland Saga is about to take FARMING SAGA TIME (I'm not saying that in contempt, mind you) |
