It's the first episode and I already hate the Korean stalker. Based on the cover and name I thought it was horror or psychological, was a bit disappointed after looking at the genres, now after watching it I'm even more disappointed seeing the kind of relationship the two leads have. Looks like a typical garbage romance aimed at girls. I bet the stalker guy is going to be a popular character with many fangirls.

This is psychological. I recommend to see genre in mangaupdates instead of MAL. I ever submit psychological manga to MAL and they remove psychological tag that I put so genre in this website is not credible.

The problem isn't the portrayal in itself , portraying r*pe,murder and problematic relationships is fine,as a bad example or case study/drama, but it is clear, that here the intention is a romantic story between the MCs which is really fcked up with this premise.

This is basically the wet dream of weebs who think, that simply stalking the girl and advancing despite rejections is a romantic thing which will ultimately succeed. On top of that the MC is a bad ass assassin who doesn't give a fck about law and decency so he can be a forceful dick, and the audience cheering for him. This is fcking sick and problematic.
Ofcourse in a community where Redo can be popular, I will be the feminist SJW (though I hate them with all my heart), for having any decency.

Glad I found your comment. I got worried bc I saw a lot of guys defending the show saying it wasn't S.A., so I figured they were wrong. I will not be watching, so thank you for putting this all out. Anime fans love defending misogyny.

I don't know in the future and this is psychological, if you read or watch psychological romance, usually their romance is not normal.

And no one actually really care about their relationship in comment section of manga as far as I see lol so no one call it "passionate love"

You talk as if you know what will happen, if no then it means you are only assuming so I will say despite the romance genre, till now, I can't even say there is romantic moment between them (I don't know what you consider as romantic but for me, there is no romance at all till now). And this is psychological (You can check the genre in other website like mangaupdates). Okay SOng is definitely a creep but there's something else about him...he's definitely odd and characters like Chateau are they type I like the most, they have history and they have damage...I don't know why I find those types appealing to me but here we are.

Will definitely be into this one.

So far I'm not buying the "romance", and I'm not a big fan of "robotic" MCs. Her lack of emotions are probably the result of her past though.
I'll just have to see what happens.

I think the issue is how the series has been genred on MAL as it's just action, I was not ready for the stalker behaviour (made worse by the fact I kinda like him even while knowing what he's doing would be creepy af in real life). If it had been action, psychological or action, psychological, romance it may have given people different way to view what is happening but I feel a bit like the odd one out when I'm reading a number of people say the MC have great chemistry when I'm not seeing it, just a guy bothering someone who clearly wants nothing to do with him.

Having not read the manga I can't judge where this will go but I think an adaptation needs to stand on it's own. Maybe most of the people leaving positive romance comments know more than me but I get the feeling that at least a few just seem to think the ML is being charming and that he'll slowly wear down the FL.

I don't have an issue with problematic romances, I do find an odd interest in them, but maybe my issue is that I went into watching this thinking it's be more romantic than it has been shown. I was thinking it's be more enemies to lovers or maybe that there wouldn't be quite the level of power imbalance that was shown. I'm a bit worried about people comparing it to Spy X Family as there is clearly a very different dynamic going on. For 1, I'm not 100% who would win between twilight and yor if they actually fought but this anime has already shown that he could kill her if he felt like it.

I'm going to keep watching because I want to see if I'm missing something and, like I said at the beginning, as creepy as his actions are, the ML has an odd charisma to him that makes me like him.

I'm not quite sure romance is the right genre for this anime, maybe action, thriller or psychological. Like you I'm sure it is related to her past or that she doesn't seem to have been in her job for long so hasn't warmed up to her colleagues yet. Or it could be that she doesn't want to give the ML any hint that might make him think that she likes him since he is stalking/harassing her.

Yeah, honestly genre in mal pissed me off, I ever submit psychological manga in here and they remove the psychological tag and only include drama, school life, and I know it will give some people wrong idea. That's why I explain this again and again to people and told them to look at mangaupdates instead. In there, they even put tag so people will have more idea what kind of characters the story have.

Tbh, this is the kind of thing that often happen in psychological romance and that's also why I explain to people in case some people have this type of perspective. But I read the manga and I don't think that's the case. She slowly care about him because he helps her a lot, risking his life and he helps her not to make her feel in debt, there is other reason you will found out later.

No, I am reading the manga but I don't think it's positive. It's just people have different perspective about something. Some people maybe more focus on their banter and it looks interesting so they call it "good chemistry". In my case, I see that she is uncomfortable with him in this episode so I think it's more toward negative.

I expected better from this anime, I loved Chateau character, but the protagonist was so annoying, always having to show, demonstrate and make fun about that his just the best because he's the main male character. So to me this make it impossible to watch, there are a lot of overpowered characters that are mich better and have a lot more charisma in the finger like for example Loid from Spy x Family, and he demonstrate it with actions, also show humanity those are enjoyable characters, well written and developed not like an asshole saying 24/7 that his the best and having this stupid humor

Solid episode as well as the OP/ED were great.
I still don't know why the anime gets a 6.90★ while the manga still has 7.62★... at this time... but I'll try.
For now, I like it. (Even if something felt off or missing while watching this 1st episode)

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Comic relief during any serious moment, Stalks bounty hunter with overplayed rizz, bounty hunter allows him to follow without notifying anyone and keeps it a secret after one interaction and ignores all instructions from superiors making it seem like HQ is ran by a bunch of monkeys. Nope. Im sure it become more intense later, but the whole, "i have rizz backed with comedic relief" troupe is so overplayed in anime in recent years. It's a hard pass for me.
