| This season had some weak episodes but the end was pretty satisfying. Curious to know more about Ayanokouji, and Karuizawa was kinda cute. |
| When Ayanokogi finally relieves his constipated emotions. it's gonna be explosive! I think he has partly stopped seeing everyone as pawns and doesn't understand it. I think he genuinely likes Kei, but can't untangle his emotions. |
| I guess all the animators focused on the Ayanokoji x Ryuen fight. No wonder there were some slappy scenes in some episodes. Also, I'm with you fellow gentlemen and women. Karuizawa is best girl. |

Literally everything you said is things the anime changed from the LN. Ryuen doesn't torture Kei, he tosses water on her on the schools rooftop on a warm day. Not even a big deal. He's also an unselfish guy that's saving 800 million points to help every single one of his classmates. Kei is a selfish bully who got what she deserved. She also isn't taken advantage of by Ayanokoji, it's an equal relationship |

| It's truly amazing how much this improves upon the source material by the simple expedient of removing all of Ayanokouji's pathetic, perverted, & panicky internal dialog. Just an incredible transformation all around. |
What high IQ scenes? Every Ayanokoji moment is "I planned this out, but won't explain how. Just trust me bro" It's like me saying I prevented a terrorist attack and when confronted, I say I let it play out from the start and planned to stop it to send a message. But I won't give any details on what I did. Or saying "You're dumping me for another guy? Did you know I planned this from the start including you distancing yourself from me?" Then her responding "OMG you said it so it must be true" |

The characters in the anime are 1 dimensional, which is sad considering how much depth they have in the LN. What do you think about Kei being tortured and suddenly deciding to stand up for herself despite spending all her life getting bullied? What do you think lead her to this? The anime doesn't explain the background of her character, so you would not be able to answer this. The anime just makes her a helpless girl, who accepts everything thrown at her, but then suddenly she doesn't want to give Ayanokojis name because she will stand up for herself this time for sure. Look she did it! She did it for herself! But how and why? Then the next day claims she's an entirely person and that everything has changed. That makes no sense, the writers just decided the 1 dimensional character needs an big change to fit into the plot going forward. Now Ayanokoji, I answered it somewhat 3 posts above yours. He has no personality whatsoever, he just pulls out things he's done with nothing backing them. In the end, they're just claims with no meaning or anything to back them, so there's zero room for speculation. For example his plan of making Kei warm up towards him by telling her he didn't need her anymore because he's not trying for Class A anymore... but how does that make sense? Just before he called her he just proclaimed to himself that he isn't going for Class A anymore thanks to Arisu's fathers protection... ok so that fits but wait... then why does he need Kei whose only use is swaying the class towards decisions beneficial to getting to class A? Why did he need to trick her by telling the "truth" to keep her on his side. Nothing he says or does make sense, because he's a 1 dimensional character throwing around unfounded ideas. It made sense in the LN because Kei isn't a cardboard cutout and Ayanokoji makes decisions out of affection for Kei which wasn't allowed in the anime. I'm not even going to bother with Horikita whom they made into a tsundere (way out of character) or Ryuen who they decided needed to be evil and make decisions that don't make sense for himself or his class to stand against the edgy version of Ayanokoji Overall the story is mediocre along with its characters |

| Ayanokoji is cold af. At least he didn't say out loud that Sato wasn't worthy of smiling for xD. Ryuen compared Kushida to cancer.... Amazing how accurate it was haha. Kei The Tool lol. I had some little hope that Ayanokouji saved Kei out of his own goodness but damn he planned down every little detail to gain her trust. At least he is questioning whether he and their relationship will ever change. Arisu vs Ayanokouji sounds pretty exciting. Thank goodness there was already a third season announced. Anyway, I don't know if it was really better or I was less influenced by the light novel readers but I really liked this second season and it was one of the shows I looked forward to the most every week. Looking forward to that third season. |
