I'm really curious if it's okay to head to s2 without watching any of the ova's,specials, movies, director's cut, etc.

Edit:I'll watch the two movies. Thanks :)

I would recommend watching Frozen bond OVA since it gives more context on what will happen in s2.

Just watch season 1 then go to season 2 there’s no need for watching ovas and other but if you had to then watch the frozen bond movie to understand little bit about a Emilia other than that the others are more like filers but some of them are entertaining

Hope this helps

here's the order:
S1
Frozen Bond OVA
Memory Snow OVA(optional)
S2

(Memory Snow can be watched as well if you want to alleviate the depression.Really wholesome and cute stuff. The Fact the staff animated this in the first place as well as the ova proves how much they are not only passionate about this story but also how much they love the characters.)
I'd recommend watching Memory Snow after S1 or even after FB OVA.It makes you connect alot more with the characters just seeing them happy and enjoying.
it's not Mandatory or even important to the plot but It made me love this cast even more than I did before s2.

You can head straight to season 2 without watching the movies, specials, and ovas. Directors cut is basically just season 1 with some minor changes so I don’t know if you need to watch it

Season 2 is a direct continuation. Just start season 2 if you’ve seen season 1 (the first episode of season 2 and the last episode of season 1 are in the same book in the light novels it’s meant to flow together). Then later if you want to you can watch the movies if you want to as extra lore and fun with the characters but they aren’t needed

Frozen bond movie is a prequel about Emilia's story on how she met puck and Roswall. The other movie, Memory Snow is more like a filler, but it acts as a prelude to the frozen bond movie. Then, you can either watch director's cut or season 1, since they are almost the same (few changes made here and there. thats all). Then you watch season 2.

Follow this link to learn more about the differences in Season 1 and directors cut

Note: You won't understand movie:Memory Snow, without watching season 1, but you can skip it.

You need to watch the movie:Frozen Bonds to understand season 2

You can skip the spin offs. They dont have anything to do with the storyline.

Season 2 follows events of last season 1 arc. That's why re-watching Season 1 is must for people who don't remember Season 1.
It is like starting watching movie of second half only.

OVAs can be watched after Season 1 but my opinion they are stretched and not that good which can ruin your experience.
