Well, they got everything resolved although this finale...idk felt underwhelming.

In the end, peace and order was restored and everything is normal again. Looking back now, it looks like Hiyori, Kikka, and Teruto finally is able to look forward to a brighter future.

Mario vs. Teruto, the final battle continued, and the former has more bags of tricks that Teruto cannot stop unless he can.

Down to one life each, and all cards are on the gamble to end Mario's reign to fixing the world into playing Build-Divide again.

A timeskip that sees everyone living their normal lives again, and thus makes the world anew.

As an entire package, Build-Divide exists for nothing more than to promote the TCG in Japan. The anime...is just mediocre to decent at best.

So Tatsumi Ishinome is basically a God that has too much free time. He just want to entertain himself by observing human's struggle.

What will happen from now on? As for a story, and as for this mixed media project.

Does... everyone really need a happy ending? Did even Higuma really need to be spared like that? Do we really need Sakura to be in the real world, too?

Man, I don't like this ending. It just makes me feel like the whole story up to now happened for no real reason, because it was all isolated in this virtual world which is gone now and everyone's able to move on with their lives. Not even the villains are hindered in their day-to-day from now on. And since Higuma was "looking for a way to save humanity" before Neo Tokyo even happened, it's slightly confusing to me why the real world is just fine and dandy.

Everything warped up in this finale but there's still one thing that bugging me, is the world they living in now a real world or not? How come everything at real world still looks fine even after seen that the whole japan got rekt by natural disaster?

They really did not have to let Sakura go her separate way in the end, especially after she managed to come in real world... If they are gonna for an happy end at least go through it... Being half assed is really japanese's animes speciality.

Great finale, HIguma losing his way by trying to complete Neo-Kyoto and obtain Will but then being reminded of it by his original ace, Bloom, and Teruto was great. It was simple enough but I don't think you needed more.

The final ending to the duel was great, framing it as a final gamble between the two was great and I wish more cardgames animes would have these aesthetics for stuff. Just sitting down in a Casino can be as interesting as having holodecks and dueldisks. Teruto luck sacked hard, but that's life. You have to gamble, and Bloom wills it. Her appearing at the end to help Teruto was great, but I wish she had talked more.

Sakura's final goodbye was just perfect, even her telling Teruto to not get lost was super cute. I am glad she got to keep Iora, and now lives with Ishinome as a planeswalker avatar of the higher cardgame entity.

I am glad everyone got a happy ending in the real world (even if they skipped the logistics of everything). Hiyori now being the same age as the twins is pretty funny, and it's a shame we didn't get more jokes about that. Oh, well I guess the true winner is Hiyoko who now has both twins at her side. Naomitsu inheriting Higuma's will was an interesting bit, but I wish it had gotten more expanded.

Overall, I think Build Divide was an interesting experiment by Aniplex, and one that paid off. This was been the most fresh franchise in a while for the cardgame anime market and I enjoyed it way more than I did the last vanguard or YGO. It was short, it had good direction and fun duels.

Not sure if we will get another season soon, but I hope we do. That said, it probably will be in another divide where Sakura and Ishinome are the connective tissue between things. Oh, finally, Sakura leaving the bread for Teruto was the cutest thing ever, like seriously.

I liked it because Telto starts to lose his way but Bloom helps him because the path itself gets dark for Telto and when he sees that he has five cards in the deck he attacks and defeats Higuma with the Bloom

A very very solid finale. I was so worried Sakura would really be left on the other side all alone. It may have been an ass pull but I’m so happy she got to go over to the real world. I wish she would’ve just gone with Teruto and the girls tho lol.

Love the new track that Who-ya extended dropped for the ED as well, really complimented the bread scene at the end.

Overall much better than season 1 and arguably the most underrated show of the season. Felt like a very closed book ending so I don’t think we’ll be seeing more of them in anime, but I wouldn’t mind a spin off in another medium.

Only took us a year but we finally got some Sakura fanservice too

Felt they ended the fight pretty suddenly. Well, I guess this was kind of better than S1 other the first half of this season being pretty flat.

Yay best girl is actually back now, step on me

Not only this was a good last episode
i also, when Higuma played 'Shub-Niggurath' i knew i had heard that from Overord so i went and googled it and learned that is a actual mythology creature... and i learned about Cthulhu's Family tree too.

The more you know

I was expecting a reunion of Sakura and Teruto's group, I'm glad they didn't go for it. Good ending. People sometimes take different paths in life, they don't have include people we love.

Not a bad season. Certainly not a series I'll remember, I don't hate it.

I'm stil confused. As other said, why the real world is looking fine? Wasn't the reason Higuma put people in virtual world to save the humanity?

It was also said that because they were in tower, Teruto and Kikka stopped growing and they're now same year as Hiyori? How does that that happen? Wasn't they all are in virtual world with real body was suspended in real world?

So Higuma kidnapped a lot of people for his experimentation and in real world people are living as usual?

How come Sakura now can exists in real world too? If I remember correctly, she doesn't have physical body?

Last thing, what's about the barrel thing? What happens to the people who put in the barrel? They are trapped and just become the energy source for the king?

There are a lot of confusing things in the story or I just missed them somehow.

Setting aside about the story, I was hoping that the final battle would be a team battle of Teruto-Hiyori/Kikka VS Higuma-Ishinome/king. I'm sad it was just a solo battle.

Finally this is over.

Better than season 1.

Last 2 episodes were not as good, exactly when they brought our Teruto back stealing the final scenes xD

I was about to give 6/10 but these last 2 episodes were not as exciting compared to the others and they were in general boring.
Kudos for the epilogue, it had a decent epilogue and not rushed; enough to make one satisfied.

The story...nah never mind xD

Sadly, a very forgetable anime for most.

Hiyori was the saving grace. Too bad Sakura did have almost none screentime this season.

5/10, maybe 6/10.
Okay, MAL, add the possibility of .5 scores as well so I can rate 5.5 xD

Teruto can finally enjoy some real bread instead of 0's and 1's.

May not have been the most memorable series but was still decent with a good end.

Average IMO. Made me want to check out the game though.
Cardgames anime lately have been suffering.
5 for S1 and 6/10 for S2.

Great! I love this story and it's characters (even if the story telling was average), it's okay.

I actually want another sequel for this series, I need Sakura to be with Hiyori, Kikka, and especially, Teruto...

P.S. Sakura is the true heroine of this story! 🥰
Another P.S. It could've been great if they used the S1's OP to be the background music, while Teruto is fighting back with all his might. It is usually a cliché thing but it's more worth it if it were so. Man, I missed that song, the rhythm is so addicting.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Personally enjoyed this season more than season 1. Really loved the ending though, it was so wholesome. Unfortunetely, its come to an end. Loved the story, and im gonna miss these characters.

7/10.
