Heh, this finale had its amusing moments especially with Desumi's mixed feelings and reactions. But hey, it's great to see all the cast united together to make the day into something special.

That poor cake though. This show really can't have a ceremony without chaos of some type. Finale felt like it was all over the place but overall, I found the show quite entertaining.

So after all this while and sharing lil' hamburger macarons, a marriage plan for the finale...that's Fudo new CM for a bridal service with a popular actress that's part of Gelato 5's sponsor companies that gets Desumi all riled up, and that Fudo cannot back out of it since there's no one to take the job. So what to do? Bake a cake and cut it with Desumi, before the fateful day of the CM.

On Gekko's side, the birth of the Ultimate Phantom has finally reached its day of awakening, its power derived from negative energy of humans for an actual ambition plan at world domination. But to their dismay, this monster culmination....turned out to be a big baby that a slap and a breath is enough to put it into rampage mode. Sadly, Super Bosslar's experiment failed, and although the Princess Series managed to calm it down, its true power is eating enemies and absorbing their powers. RIP Culverin Bear.

Regardless of whether Desumi is able to respond, Fudo's bridal shoot must still go on, and his virgin experience of cutting the cake with Desumi was about to fleet away...and thanks to the Ultimate Phantom, Fudo gets a free pass. This role must be passed onto Gelato 5 to take care of the Gekko monster, but the cake is more important lols.

For the last time, Freezing Sentai Gelato 5 in flashy valour (just like the opening premiere episode) to take action, and even with Beast Princess Kiki and Steel Princess Kyoko, nothing stops the immortality behaviour of the baby to become a cake monster. Gelato 5's trump card of the combined sword Gelato Claymore, and even though all hope feels lost, Desumi's entrance helps Fudo, and this is the case of Love Is Power, cutting the literal cake monster together for a marriage between eternal rivals.

At least the cake isn't all lost, and the monster baby truly acted like Fudo and Desumi's child lols.

A story that's truly: Love After World Domination. A nice show that's heaps of enjoyable.

They should rename this show to "love after nuclear destruction".

This was one of those wack as shit anime shows that after finishing, i don't really know how to summarize my thoughts for ... what was the whole point of the good organization vs bad organization again ? Why not just keep it as a pure romance, them being villains or heroes barely played any part in this.

You can do the "forbidden love" trope without a wack setting too.

I like that they made the monster ability to absorb and transform so that the monster can eat cake and transform into cake just to be cut by Fudo and Desumi. Instead of separately defeat a monster together and cutting a cake, they make it two-in-one scene. Very efficient writing with no waste material.

“I can only cut my first cake with desumi” awww fudo and desumi were the ship of the season for sure with desumi in strong contention for waifu of the season. I’ll miss them a lot.

Wacky and over the top finale that summed up everything about this show really. The princess series and gelattos working together was cool and then that final take down with Desumi and Fudo as the OP played was chef’s kiss. Only thing I would’ve liked is a proper kiss at the end for Fudo and Desumi but given there’s more to the manga story I guess that would be too soon.

Definitely not your average romcom and a fun unique show to shake things up. I’ll have to check out the manga sometime.

I liked it because the episode shows Desumi jealous of Fudo because he will record a wedding commercial and when Fudo understands he decides to make a ball to cut along with Desumi but Gekko's monster helps Desumi stop being jealous

It wouldn't have been a finale without our lovebirds having their first fight (relationship fight, not the other one lol). But I'm so happy that they were able to figure things out. These two are so perfect together!

I know the Ultimate Phantom was all powerful and evil, but how can you stay mad at him?! He's a giant baby! Now he's a little baby, and he's picked Fudo and Desumi and Papa and Mama. Does that make Desumi a MILF now?

I wanna gush so much about this show, AND I'M GOING TO!!

I LOVED THIS SHOW SO GODDAMN MUCH!!!!!!!!!

I had to catch up to a lot of shows I didn't watch for weeks at a time, but Love After World Domination was the legit ONLY show this season I watched every week with new releases on Crunchyroll on the dot! It was such a fun and colourful show, the characters are so great, Desumi is girl of the year (sorry, Marin), it had SO MANY waifus, it was such a refreshing take on a star-crossed lovers story, one of the most interesting in the Power Rangers/Sentai genre, great action, and it was goddamn funny as well. Gekko were actually really endearing and great, so much development and depth to all the Princesses (Bear-sama was also pretty great). The central romance was so pure and wholesome, the moments of romance between Bear-sama and Kyoko were really cute, the obvious sexual tension between Majima and Blue Ranger was fucking hilarious, even smaller characters like Gyaru Princess and Judgment Princess were pretty fun, even if Gyaru Princess is clingy and Blood Princess is a mommy milky psycho!

I DEMAND A SEASON TWO WITH ALL OF MY HEART AND SOUL! I wanna see more of Desumi (and her relationship with Fudo, plus Kyoko and Majima and the others), I wanna see the tension between Majima and Blue Ranger keep going, I wanna see more shenanigans from Gekko, I wanna see how Desumi handles being a mum. Will they finally go public with their relationship? Will this union broker peace between Gelato 5 and Gekko? Will they unite again against a common enemy? Will Fudo and Desumi finally KISS?!!!

All of these things I want to find out. I will be getting the manga now and adding as much of it to my collection as I can. Please, whoever is in charge of this show, make more anime, for the love of all that is holy!!!

10 out of 10! I'm not exaggerating for funsies, this is my show of the year so far!

So the big baby became a discount Stay Puft man lol. It’s pretty cute for an out of control monster! It’s little form was adorable too. Gekko really makes some pretty goofy creatures.

Fudo and Desumi were so adorable this episode! Fudo can be quite dense so I’m glad Haru was there to spell it out for him. At least in the end they got to cut their cake together, though it wasn’t the one Fudo worked his ass off to bake.

This was a super cute finale overall. Idk if there’s ever gonna be another season or if there’s enough material to adapt, but I sure hope so. I really liked this series a lot. Loved seeing Red Ranger and Rita Repulsa’s relationship blossom lol.

Yeah, there was no kaiju vs Megazord battle in the end, unfortunately. I hope it's included in season 2. I hope this show gets a season 2.

I kinda wish the Gelato members other than Red got more spotlight (especially Yellow, she seems to have a history with Red). The series gave more screentime to Desumi's colleagues which was a bit unexpected.

Enjoyed this anime a lot. A lot of people said Paripi Koumei was the underrated Spring 2022 anime but IMO it's this one. I'm gonna miss it.

Gotta keep the status quo for now, except for that Fudo and Desumi "became parents". Pretty much the first thought that crossed my mind when I saw that giant kaiju baby "what if they had to take care of that thing" lol.

Constantly entertaining show 7/10

This is undeniably my AOTS. While we have many other amazing anime series this season, I don't think I've watched anything as wholesome or as fun as Koi wa Sekai Seifuku no Ato de. It expertly utilizes classic romantic comedy and tokusatsu tropes in a refreshing way to build upon an extremely solid foundation of a very loving and positive relationship. The animation is far better than it has any right to be, and the series really stuck the landing with an amazing episode that was a microcosm of everything that made the series great.

10/10. I'd kill for a Season 2.

The chemistry between the characters is good and the side characters are all decent. The only flaw is the setting(power rangers VS bad guys) that would have benefitted hugely from being explained a bit more and giving it more of a reason than just for the forbidden in forbidden love. Like why are they even fighting. Is it all a reality show? Stuff like that, basically.

This episode started off extremely rough for me, I genuinely thought it was going to be a bad ending, I'm so freaking glad I was wrong.

I love the fact that in the end they actually got to cut the cake together, it's just so wholesome!!! AHHHHHHHH!

I think I need to read the manga now, I need to know how the story continues and there's no way I can wait for if there's another season (please let there be one)

I did not realize when I first started this anime that Romance Power rangers was something I needed, I have so many lingering questions now, what's going to happen with Desumi's sister, Will there be any rumors about Desumi and Fudo. Does anyone know what chapter the anime left off from? I desperately need to read the manga now.

Unlike Gekko, Gelato 5's identities are public. Fudo is pretty much a celebrity as well as a hero. Pink Gelato made him realize his foolishness, so he learns how to bake a cake that he and Desumi can cut.

That's amazing and adorable. Cutting a cake as the final attack.

The diminished monster mistakes Desumi and Fudo as its parents lol. But at the end, Bosslar seems to be raising it, I think the motherly Blood Princess, with her crush on Bosslar, would like a hand in that.

Heh, and so Fudo and Desumi get to cut their first cake together afterall.

That was a pretty clever solution. I predicted they'd use that weapon as soon as it was first mentioned earlier in the episode, but not that it would be against a literal cake monster, pretty cute. On the whole my predictions for this series, which I went into completely blind, were pretty accurate. For instance I also predicted both that the iron maiden girl would have big, beautiful tits and have a crush on bear dude before either of those reveals happened in that episode. So too did I predict Blue Gelato helping distract the wild woman during the culture festival episode where they wanted to get their picture taken together. But anyway yeah, a fun little premise and series, solid 7/10. :)

Oh, and it was fun to hear Inspector Megure play another character for once. His distinctive voice is unmistakable. XD

And so in the end Fudo did cut his first cake with Desumi; the proportions were just a little larger than intended.

That feels weird to say though. Cut your first cake? That kind of implies you foresee yourself getting married multiple times...

We get a fitting end to this season and I for one am satisfied enough. As someone who's been wishfully thinking for a second season to Boarding School Juliet, I am so glad I decided to randomly pick this up. I still prefer Boarding School Juliet a bit more though, but this was good. Anyone looking for some fun light-hearted rom-com should definitely consider this.

Pretty fun series, overall. Hoped for a bit more closure in this finale episode but the “parent” tag made for an interesting finish, so I’ll take it.

First cake cutting experience, Desumi-san’s spite is totally understandable. Fudo thinking of making a cake to first cut with Desumi-san was an interesting idea, and they, well, managed to do that in style here.

I was thinking initially that the monster appearing right after he dropped the knife was just as perfect a timing as it could be, xD. His public image could’ve been affected but thankfully that wasn’t to be.

To be honest, the premise of this show seemed so generic and I wasn’t sure what to expect prior to the airing. But, for some reason, since episode 1, it was quite entertaining. For that, I’ll award the show with a well-deserved 7/10. Wouldn’t mind seeing a season two or more romance-themed shows like this.

Ahaha, instead of the cake they cut the mutant together, that's pretty fun parallel xD well that was a good ending to this anime, which is of course mainly slice of life and soft romance so nothing too outstanding to expect but for its purpose of being a sentai version of romeo and juliet it did great, especially when it comes to characters and comedy.
Kind of 7.5/10 show I would say.

that was super sweet from Fuudo to put so much effort into the cake, they did a really nice job with the classic creepy baby monster that is too powerful to control.

I had a lot fo fun with this show, a ton of top notch girls and the premise never got old a pair of socially awkward lovebirds was pretty endearing.

A damn good finale, Gekko’s monster being uncontrollable and seeing them team up with Gelato 5 to defeat it was awesome, it was well animated and very fun to watch, of course the “icing on the cake” was Desumi and Fudo getting the killing blow in while simultaneously cutting a cake together like they wanted, really loved that.

Seeing it become tiny makes it less scary lol, and I guess Fudo and Desumi are the parents now, although at the end it showed Bosslar taking care of it so probably not, still funny tho. But yeah, that was an awesome fight and a sweet moment for Desumi and Fudo at the same time, very fitting for the show and a great way to end it!

Wow, I’m so glad I picked this up part way through the season, it’s a true gem. Desumi and Fudo never got boring, every moment with them together was great, and I also enjoyed all the side characters, I do wish some of them got more screentime but I’m happy with what we got. I would say the only thing I didn’t like is that one episode where Desumi was being promoted to a monster, idk that kinda scares me lol, but it’s a very small issue. And you can’t forget the slappers that are the OP and ED, the OP worked really well for this show and I’ve loved Masayoshi Oishi for his Gridman and Dynazenon OPs, and DIALOGUE+ is a favorite group of mine and their ED here is one of my favorites this season. This is one of the shows I want to see another season from the most, I need more of this couple!

The relationship between Fudo and Desumi is absolutely amazing. Their chemistry is just out of this world. For me these two are the couple of the season. The plot involving the Gelato vs Gekko fights and whatnot is also funny. It’s your classical Power Rangers stuff, and it’s nice. I like how the author created that Romeo & Juliet type of story – with Fudo and Desumi each belonging to a different faction. It was also entertaining to watch the two trying to hide their relationship by looking as rivals.

It was also nice that the anime didn’t revolve only around Fudo and Desumi, but it focused on other characters – such as all the different Gekko princesses and their personalities. Each princess had different personality and it was amusing to watch them – from the wild Beast Princess, through the Desumi obsessed Heat Princess, to even the Mommy… ehm, Blood Princess.
Overall, this was an absolutely amazing anime with the couple of the season, and good animations. The whole plot was well done, and the subplots revolving around the other characters were fun to watch too

I should have foreseen the cake slicing, the moment baby monster turned into a cake lmao, now that's a memorable first couple cake slicing experience. Desumi and Fudo teaming up had me hype as fuck, but alas, their relationship must remain a secret.

I hope we get a season 2, but I heard the anime adapted 24 chapters and there's only 34 chapters out right now, so if ever we get one, it's gonna be a long while. Really fun show overall 8/10.

Easily the best romcom this season. Somehow they made the outrageous premise worked. Fudo and Desumi is the most mature and healthiest couple this season and that alone propelled this anime above its peers.

Lots of fan service in this last episode with full Gelato transformation as well as their and the Gekko's upper echelons signature attacks. Just like the cultural festival episode, they somehow managed to seamlessly make a kaijin episode into a wedding cake cutting.

Good episode, the final fight scene was also hinted in the op. Decent, suitable for ending a season, I have mixed opinions about the whole season, all the episodes and characters introduced were belonging to sudo&desumi. And their relationship could have been handled better, more progress should have been made rather than hiding and the villain&hero team should also improve a lot. And the fight was half-decent. I give this episode 5/10.
The whole season gets 5/10.
