Hmm, a decent description of the school and its events to begin this volume. I recall that there are these annual events throughout the series too.

Kamiyama High School really does sound like an interesting school to attend though with its resources. The Valley of Star Cup must be a prestigious prize to obtain.

This light novel gets far too little attention considering how popular the anime is and the writing of the story. I can understand that this series caters more towards Japanese readers because of the use of Kanji's prevalent.

It's becoming evident that the story will not progress for a long time but I hope volume 7 can salvage it. Despite being a filler, once again, it managed to capture my interest. I enjoyed how certain clues were spread throughout the volumes to make the story more clear. The translator did a good job and explaining some concepts regarding the use of Kanji.

I love how the retrospective of Oreki Houtarou helped him solving the case at that present.
