| As a long-time video game fan and audiobook enthusiast, voice acting/ narration performance is something I’ve grown appreciate when an actor is well-cast and is excellent in the role. There are plenty of great voice actors who give great performances, but which actors in which roles are truly exceptional in your mind? I’m pretty new to anime, but some that come to mind to me: Koyasu Takehito as Zeke , Attack on Titan: Menacing, deep, and intimidating, it’s perfect for . His voice carries a weight to it that helps make him feel both important and powerful. Todd Haberkorn as Natsu Dragneel (Fairy Tail, English dub): Before recently getting into anime, I was curious about it a few years ago, so I Googled ‘best dubbed animes’ and that led me to Fairy Tail. To me, Todd was the perfect Natsu. Whether talking casually to Happy or arguing with Gray, he sounds both lighthearted and young; he sounds like an ordinary late teens/ early twenties boy. When Natsu is serious or angry, that youthful tone remains somewhat, which is crucial in my eyes because despite an exceptionally powerful wizard, he’s still Natsu and still the guy who believes friendship is the most important thing. |

| I honestly can't hear anyone other than Mary Elizabeth McGlynn as Major Motoko Kusanagi in the GHOST IN THE SHELL anime shows. The lady who voiced her in the 1995 movie wasn't bad, but McGlynn NAILED IT forever, IMO. I can't even watch the show in Japanese language with subs really, as Richard Epcar IS Batou, and almost all the people (to me) FIT the characters they're doing. Same for David Wald who voiced Duke Togo / GOLGO 13 for the TV series in English. HE IS GOLGO, if there's any other future shows, HE HAS TO be the voice again. ...and then there's the original voice talent like Makio Inoue who voiced Captain Harlock until his death in 2019. I'm sure someone could do an okay job from here, but Inoue's voice IS THE CAPTAIN. Same for Akira Kamiya who's been the voice of Kenshiro in Hokuto no Ken... Ryo Saeba in City Hunter... Shutaro Mendou in Urusei Yatsura and Roy Focker in SDF MACROSS. Nobody can replace this dude for his voicing these characters. Thankfully he's still alive at 75. |

| Since 2017 after watching Re:Creators, I got stuck on the character Alicetaria February who is voiced by: I was just fascinated by the vocals of the character, that it had me look up the VA and check out other work she's done and happens to be in alot of anime over the past 11 years, that I have watched like Goblin Slayer, SAO Alternative-GGO and Hinamatsuri. I never thought someone so small, could sound like a bad-ass and also sound so soft, but then again normal. |

| Nobutoshi Canna as Guts from Berserk. Does a great job with Guts' wide range of emotions in the role for 1990s/ 2000s era voice work of the character for anime and video games. Hiroaki Iwanaga lacks that range of expression for his voice work in recent depictions of the character. |

| Saito Chiwa as Senjougahara Kamiya Hiroshi as Araragi Miki Shinichiro as Kaiki Yuji Kaji as Eren Miyano Mamoru as Okabe imo they all managed to to bring out the traits of these characters and gave impactful scenes through them with their voice acting. |

| Sakamoto Maaya as Kiss-Shot. Most Sakamoto Maaya roles are perfect. The only exception for me is Nino in Arakawa Under the Bridge. A more recent perfect performance was Aoyama Yoshino as Bochhi. Other performances I really like are: Tsuda Kenjirou as Suoh Mikoto in K, Hanazawa Kana as Shiina Mayuri in Steins;Gate, Maeda Ai as Kino in Kino's Journey, Yukana as C.C. in Code Geass and Izumi Kitta as Tomoko Kuroki in Watamote. |

| I'll double down on Rumi Okubo for Nana, Ari Ozawa for Chiyo and Tanaka Rie as Suigintou. Those are great picks. Idk if it's fitting but Yuu Serizawa as Ueno-san was also a great experience, her other roles before that were the elf girl from Isemaou but ueno just feels far too fitting for her voice. |
