mfw im scared that im not a mommy despite literally not being a mommy figure for the entirety of my children's lives😰😱😨

i get where the mom is coming from lol it's understandable. i just find it amusing that the mom didn't see this coming, and that of all the ruthless things the mom has done in her life, this is what gets her.
even Setsuna doesn't really show this type of emotion so clearly it means that Setsuna is toooooo goooood for her mom 🥱

tbh excluding the phenotypes, i can see the personality traits of Setsuna and Haruka stemming from the mom. like the mom being 🗿 most of the time just like Setsuna, and how the mom got nervous on those two panels is kinda like Haruka in general being a klutz

and yeah the mommy's method of silently gifting is questionable becuz like bruh how does giving them stuff with the perception that it just happened supposed to benefit how ur daughters feel towards you...
i thought u were smarter than that.............................

i found that the husband straight up telling Setsuna that he met her mom a bit anticlimactic but tbh maybe that's for the better because being mysterious clearly doesn't work and hey Setsuna reflected about her mom on a deeper level and is now willing to meet her. they're getting somewhere and that's cool.
