idk i just feel like there was too many unresolved questions and im guessing pacing/adaption issues because like what happened to the character in the last episode and why did it just jump time from last episode to here all of a sudden? also apparently he was fated to be a spirit catcher or something as in a reincarnation, i wasnt really paying attention because its just like ok whatever at this point

Marathoned 11 eps in a row and honestly, I'm surprised at the later part is actually better and gives lots of background and setting info. I really wish they could give some in the beginning so that I didnt get too confused during the first freaking 3 eps lol.

Honestly, the last ep is more like a set-up ep for another season so I really hope they will actually give us season 2. I checked the manhua and they have an official English translation under the name "Spirit Catcher" on INKR comic. The translation goes pass where the donghua ends.

I think the donghua managed to give us all the answers and I'm actually looking forward to more secret revealing for the disappeared era of immortals. Also about the 2 main characters'past. We catch a glimpse on how Yang Yao feels about his ability but not really about brother Yan, lol. Also their pasts are not detailed and for Yan to be someone who has a potential to be a great man in history, I'm curious to see why.

Kinda wonder where the two adopted sister - brother go. They just disappear since ep 7 when the two main get out of the memory.

The plot is interesting, animation is nice and for a cultivation genred series, this one gives clear setting to us. Would say the characters is the weakest point and we know close to nothing about main characters, the supporting characters are just there to push the plot despite there seem to be dramas everywhere. I really have no clue wth happened with the sister who obsessed with her madam.

Who was the man with the bandages over the eyes??
What happened to the Girl and her Brother??
Did they travel back in time?? How did they get back??
What do the lanterns mean??

Love the girl from the paper scroll.
I was really lost early on but strangely it kept me watching.
So for that reason, Good.
