Interesting they decided to explore some background story this late in the show. Tobikichi's college days is something that can be relatable. Oh and his first encounter with Uramichi was quite something.

Quite a refreshing episode if you ask me with the setting and Tobikichi's relationship with Uramichi.

OH NO, is Uramichi done with this childrens' show's torture of a work? Of course, Tobikichi goes around to spread the news, but everyone sees it as a rumour.

It's interesting to see the character cast's backstory as a gymnast and the fated (?) encounter in their younger days. Especially the carefree Tobikichi and reluctant Kumatani being classmates, and the newcomer that is Uramichi, the well-known, lively college star gymnast (before adulting turned his life upside down).

Living in the same dorm that is undergoing repairs, and truly an act of God that his room was tumbled down. Uramichi's gymnast knowledge to help Usa with his torn ligament, while Kuma helps shelter cats. Utano being the least favourite (back of the pack) Yasuko Oide...it's no wonder she has a singing background. Yelp, didn't know that Kumatani's backstory was that depressing, and that his little brother is all he had to develop interests.

Will this be the end of Together with Maman with Uramichi's exit?

Next week's gonna be the final episode...sigh, say goodbye to "Adulting" the Animation soon.

A nice backstory episode. But did you saw that fresh face of Uramichi ? That was the face of youth, full of determination, hope, expectations and dreams. A perfect face to be crashed under the weight of adulthood and working culture D: Thats life i guess.

Also Kumatani building house for cats during a typhoon, ill take that as a redemption for him being a dick to his parents in his earlier years.

So, we got the backstory on how Kumao and Usao-Kun met Uramichi Oniisan by pure coincidence, and the fact that they're going to miss Uramichi Oniisan if he quits the job really shows that they really think highly of him. I enjoyed watching them together back then. Kumao-Kun making the shed for cats in that weather was cute.

Iketeru Oniisan making his cameo every now and then was funny. LOL. To their surprise, Uramichi was more grounded than they initially thought for someone who's that popular. It's always interesting to see the backstories of these characters.

Oh god, Usao-kun overheard Uramichi's conversation with the staff member. And seems like he wants to quit? Shocking news..

Pretty interesting that they put the backstories in one of the latest episodes but they handled it very well. Uramichi was a well known gymnast back in the days. And they managed to meet each other. Usao-kun and Kumatani knew each other already and the newcomer is Uramichi, whose dorm is getting renovated.

He seemed like the serious type, cold and unsocial. Even though he looked and acted like that, he still helped Usao-kun with his his torn ligament while Kumatani made a shelter for a few kittens.

Pretty funny how the four guys met each other and I'm pretty curious on how they managed to land all on the same job.

Kumatani's backstory was pretty depressed but thanks to his little brother, he managed to change into a better person.

I thought that it was a joke but they left on a cliffhanger. Will Uramichi leave or is it just a misunderstanding?

I want all of them to live in the same dorm again, I don't know if Uramichi mean quit his apartment or quit his smoking (but obviously not quitting his job), but Uramichi should move to live with Usahara and Kumatani again. They're inseparable.

It looks like Uramichi had enough of being a children's show host and wants to quit his job. I'm sure his co-workers and the kids he worked with are going to miss him, but this type of work is not suitable for him right now. We also got a flashback to when Uramichi was a star college gymnast before he met Tobikichi and the others.

The moment it was mentioned I thought he just quit his gym for some reason and now found a new, better one. Tricky that they decided to drag the issue till the next episode, probably to make us worried that he actually wants to quit his job. Even if he is, all that matters is that he's happy. Anyhow, they showed the past because of it, which was lovely to see.

What the hell? I was convinced this was the last episode and they were going to resolve the misunderstanding in the last few minutes but then the episode ended and I remembered, "Oh yeah, this show was going to be 13 episodes." lol.

It is obvious that it is a misunderstanding though. I would believe he's actually quitting his job if it was the end of the whole series or something. Anyway, thanks to this we got to see the backstory of how the 3 of them met and it was fun! I didn't expect Kumatani to be a delinquent in his youth but thanks to his brother he continues to be best boy. We also got a glimpse of the other cast members.... seeing Utano perform in front of almost no one and move up a spot from the bottom of the ranking was hilariously sad.

One episode left, I'm going to miss this show.

Loved this episode a lot. Backstory of them in their college days. I’m pretty sure Uramichi leaving his job is just a misunderstanding though. Nice to see his colleagues care about Uramichi a lot too. Final episode is next week and I’m going to miss watching this every Monday! Looking forward to the next episode!

I think the quitting is just a misunderstanding. If Uramichi is actually planning to quit his job, it would mean he would somehow end up not quitting (considering the manga is on-going), and that would be quite sad since his job treats him horribly, and it would be like his escape was taken away from him.

The flashbacks were kind of fun.

For someone who keeps talking about girls, Usahara really seems he's been married to Kumatani for years.

A fun flashback episode showing everyone in their college days and how Uramichi, Usao and Kumatani got to know each other. Also provides an interesting contrast in how far they've fallen in the present day to end up on this children's show to begin with.

Also, no way Uramichi is actually gonna quit his job, it's obviously just some sort of misunderstanding on Usao's part.

Despite the shitty upbringing and stuff, Uramichi sure looked fresh in his college days.

As for Kumatani, I feel sorry for his parents. It sure must have been a pain to deal with such edgy teen.

Overall, pretty good backstory episode.

Ooh interesting this episode with the characters' past and Uramichi Oniisan is well said something else about leaving his job, Uramichi's face happy with something already and nice to see after he complains about the job.

I'll bet my balls uramichi isn't leaving his current job. Rather than that he's found a new house/hobby/gym or something. Kinda typical anime plot bait. Good episode nevertheless

Well, i thought this is the last episode considering the drastic change of tone they've got on this one. But, then, the cliffhanger. No way its end! Until i am back to this site and say, oh! One more episode! Suddenly my laughter burst comes without any hold xd.

Alright, the backstory has been done nicely. Everything based on a very awkward coincidence, especially with Iketeru and Utano. Kuma simply got an enlightment back there, while Usa really need to catch up with Uramichi Oniisan, somehow. So, can't wait to see the real end when Usa-kun misunderstand the whole case of that quitting, again.

There is no chance that Uramichi is actually quitting his job after 0 build-up to the reveal. The flashbacks were ok. I liked that they fleshed out Usahara more by showing how he has always looked up to Uramichi and that they showed how anti-social Uramichi used to be. It makes sense given his upbringing and it puts into perspective how he is actually a considerably happier person now than he was back then. I didn’t like how often the main trio kept bumping into the singers. That never felt natural any of the times it happened.

This episode was something I didn't know I needed. It's actually kinda sad seeing Uramichii go from a college star to how he is now. I really hope that this whole thing is just a misunderstanding and everyone can laugh about it later;(

FINALLYYYY been waiting for this to get animated, the casts' life before tgt with maman, and mainly focusing on the boys. collage uramichi.. did anyone else cry i know i did (Not really but i mentally did)

usao trying to stop uramichi at the end there, i thought it was gonna end as a joke with something like "lol wdym i just found a new house?" as a punchline so i was laughing when he was dramatically trying to stop him but IT NEVER CAME.. the punchline wasnt there.........

still think that its something like that tho, it'd be awful if we end this with uramichi leaving wtf😭

Damn, even more depressing episode than usual. Great episode! Really enjoyed seeing the boys backstories. Let's face it though, we know Uramichi ain't quitting lmao, it's probably just something else. But hey, you never know.

That news reporter getting blown away was fucking hilarious though lmao. Really looking forward to the finale.

Honestly, it's quite sad to see Uramichi who was once a national champion and college star now host a children's show who is often told to wear weird clothes. I'm not saying that the work is wrong or anything, it's just.. it's not as expected or imagined.. and that's how life is.

The flashback moments of each character are good and relatable, Usahara seems to be someone who really cares and cherishes a lot of moments especially with the people he is very close to.

But still, because it's a comedy anime, I still laugh at some scenes.. especially the news reporter part lol I feel sorry for her but I can't stop laughing either X"D

The series gonna end on a high but still not good enough to push the series to be more than average.

That's also when singing brother was salaryman

No. Kumatani and Usahara were 18 years old at the time, and Iketeru was a year younger than them. They were in their first year of university, while Iketeru was still in school.
Facing him, Usahara thought, " What a cute schoolboy!"

I see that this episode is focused on Usahara now, the transition from past and present had me confused.

It's very confusing... even though at the end it shows the "present" template for it...

But regardless it was very touching that deep down, Uramichi does care for Usahara!

Genuinely don't want Uramichi to quit,I love this series and I hope its just a misunderstanding where they're talking about quitting smoking, but I don't blame him if he does quit, hopefully it wont take massive toll on the story if he does though.

πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€ Soooo... Usahara... those are quite the feelings you have for Uramichi-san. Hmmm. Hmmm. πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€

Anyway, it's been a fun ride. Like everyone, I can only expect that he's quitting something else. Yet at the same time if he WAS quitting the show (which I doubt he is), I feel like that'd also be a good move for him. I dunno.

Awwww, I didn't realise Usahara cared so much about Uramichi! Loved seeing things from different perspectives this ep cause it made me view everyone's relationships in a new light.

I don't know why but I have the feeling that Uramichi had a kinda sad childhood - his whole life was gymnastics and while that's fine there's something he said before about his dad that makes me think he didn't do gymnastics because he wanted to but because his dad made him.

Nice backstory of their more happy college years (although Uramichi looked somewhat lonely and awkward) long before the midlife crisis kicked in thanks to the unreasonable demands of this kids show. I bet Uramichi quitting will be a misunderstanding on him going to move house.
