Anyone knows why Endeavour hesitated to save Natsuo?

Endeavour mentioned that he was afraid that Natsuo will not speak to him anymore (if I remember correctly)

I can only interpret that...

If Endeavour saves Natsuo = just fulfilling the job as a hero (which Natsuo despise about it)

P.s. I have not read the manga

I interpreted it as Endeavor looks like a maniac as he about to save his son, and when his son sees him and has that look of fear on his face, Endeavor considers that he looks just like Natsuo said he was and hesitated because of that.

I noticed someone gave you a different answer but to me it seemed like he was worried about what Natsuo had said back at the house and didn't want to prove him right.

So we got a part 2 to the last episode where Fuyumi told Midoriya and Bakugo a little bit more about Toya and the problem Natsuo has with Endeavor. Again this showed how strong Fuyumi really is and how much she cares for her family.

It's nice to see Endeavor acknowledging this time and time again. What a nice moment when she thanked Midoriya for being Todorokis friend. Even Todoroki himself didn't knew how to react to it :D

Omg Endeavors driver was hilarious with his "Zounds" and how he talked to everyone lol.

What a crazy villain. From the preview you could roughly tell that Ending wasn't "normal" but damn his obsession with Endeavor even if it's leagues below it reminded me a lot on Stains obsession with All Might.

You can interpret differently why Endeavor stopped and didn't rescue Natsuo, but for me it also felt like he didn't want Natsuo to feel obliged to him and forget his true feelings. And that's something Endeavor wants to avoid at all cost. To consider the feelings of his son in such a situation shows all of the character development he had over the past seasons.

But with that at least we got some action of our boy squad and holy hell they can be proud about the progress they made in just 1 single week. Most importantly civilians got saved and the villain overwhelmed.

Bakugo wanted Endeavor to be frustrated so badly haha. Can't wait to hear Bakugos hero name. The question is, what did Hawks do or not do with Best Jeanist? Only time will tell I guess.

Nontheless the scene between Endeavor and Natsuo was very wholesome. Endeavor is such a humble father. At least now we also know what his dream meant for him where he never saw himself together with his family.

I can understand that he wants the best for his family and thinks remaining alone is the right move, but in the long term I don't think it's the right decision. I hope one day they all can be together again.

Preview looked interesting even if I have absolute no context.

That was a good episode with such a great ending.
This whole episode makes me believe even more that something will undoubtfully happen to Endeavour... :/

Also i guess with that ED it becomes clear that Toya isn't dead.

I didn't really like the antagonist much for the episode but oh well

not sure what i think about this, the trio randomly jumping into an hostage situation like that, Endeavor not saving him cause he was afraid of what he would think (dead people don't think...duh) ... not to mention Deku randomly using his whip power like that (in a milisecond i guess) and keeping 3 cars in the air ... well ok i guess
(had to say it since no one else here even said anything about it, i'm probably just overthinking)

You never even said anything. You just said what happened during that scene without further elaboration.

lol.
do i really need to say anything? mentioning the scene should be enough to understand what i meant, i'm sure you're smarter than that

how strange it is to just randomly attack someone with hostages? it's not like the son would get killed right? i guess the villain was gonna kill more people anyway so screw the hostage, if anything, real life police should just do the same thing (reminds me of sasuke hitting both the enemy and his hostage)

the fact that endeavor didn't do it because "oh he will feel debt to me" ... like, i'm not sure if this kind of life or death situation that's the best time to be thinking about that, but whatever, at least he said it was a mistake and said thanks to the 3 boys

and ofc, with the time they take with following endeavor around, did deku really have the time to train his black whip thing? i remember we saw him for half a second, but from not being able to even use it... and to get to the point of "accurately" using it to stop the 3 cars, seems like a small training isn't enough

Deku literally had no idea how to control his Black Whip but with the advice of Endeavor, "Condense and release all at once" he had an idea of how to control it.
And if you never had elaborated, I wouldn't have known what was your problem with this episode

This guy explains why Endeavor was hesitant pretty well.

The original dialogue had more meaning to it
The reason why endeavor stops and starts to remember that particular scene is because if in the case he saved Natsu then Natsu might have to bury his hatred for endeavor and not say what's on his mind anymore
Long story short if Endeavor did save Natsu then Natsu might have to feel obliged coz Endeavor saved his life and might have to live the rest of his life rather than actually moving forward
The reason this episode makes endeavor a great character is coz of how he actually thinks Natsu might feel moving forward
Lol I cried at that chapter coz Horikoshi is truly master at expressing the emotions would recommend reading this arc in manga coz it's done so much better and they did Shoto dirty this episode

I honestly feel really bad for Endeavour, to be shut out by his family so much. But I can understand why and I know that Endeavour needs to make up for what a shitty father he was when the kids were younger, but I don't see how isolating himself from the family is going to help that.

This was a really good episode, one of the best ones in this season, last episode was great as well, these last 2 episodes got me a bit in the mood again for this anime. I just wished the OST was better, I'm weak with good, melancholic, sad OST and I believe this episode lacked those type of OST. Still, it was a really good episode but Bakugo is still an annoying brat though and I wish he had less screen time, I'm sick and tired of his screaming bullshit.

The Todoroki's family issues is one of the best things in this anime IMHO, it brings character development and a bit of drama.

I still believe this season is mid but it did had a few great episodes as well, if the MVA arc is animated and directed properly then that might bring this season to a rating of 8 again.

This season got me a bit in the mood again, I really hope they don't mess it up in the upcoming episodes.

This was a nice episode.

(TBH, I thought they already had Hero names when they were in the Academy when they were introducing themselves... but I guess they want an "official" one for outside the Academy)

This (albeit with a typo, her name is Fuyumi). I think she feels like a real person, with relatable problems (broken families are everywhere nowadays) given the little screentime she has. For me, her profession is a plus, since I am also a teacher.

Ouch. When your hatred for your dad unintentionally causes him to hesitate in trying to save your life because he knows you'd resent him for it. That's gotta be a real uncomfortable feeling for Natsuo right now. Lol though that Bakugo got caught up in that concerned dad hug at the end.

This episode was quite interesting.

The preview already showcased the gist of this episode. A villain with a vendetta against Endeavor captures Natsuo, Endeavor jumps in along with Bakugo, Midoriya, and Todoroki.

What the preview didn't showcase was the fact that Endeavor was going to hesitate to save Natsuo and Midoriya, Bakugo, and Todoroki were going to be the ones to get the job done.

Apparently 7 years ago this villain went on a rampage with the sole objective to get Endeavor to murder him. That didn't happen then and unfortunately for them that didn't happen now. He was also using chemicals to enhance his quirk and take control of the white lines on the road.

One part of the episode that I enjoyed was that for once Midoriya was able to control Black Whip and prevent the cars that the villain flipped from falling down. The one week of work studies have definitely been beneficial as without directly working on it Midoriya has improved his use of Black Whip. With that both Bakugo and Todoroki learned to concentrate their power into one precise blast, which is what allowed them to subdue the villain and save Natsuo.

Endeavor's dream was foreshadowing the decision he made after the credits. His decision was to have a house built closer to the hospital where Shoto's mom is staying so that the family can spend time together. He won't be moving in as his dream doesn't have him in it, therefore he believes that's a sign that he shouldn't be present so that the rest of the family can enjoy themselves.

With that in mind I can't wait to hear Bakugo's hero name and the development of the rest of Class 1-A.

Not only do we see the trio managing to beat Endeavour in taking down a villain, showing off the cumulative experience that they've gone through this past week, but we also got to see an advancement in the Todoroki family's issue.

Welp, that's that for the Endeavour's side of the business with the trio, now moving on...

Well the Todoroki family is sure getting closer day by day. And this marks the beginning of Endeavour's atonement.

Also Deku finally used Blackwhip correctly and Bakugo and Todoroki were able to draw about their powers in a instant. Basically all 3 of them improved a lot.

Not gonna lie, bit of a random villain - but nevermind.

This episode was great, and Endeavours decision to stay away was the right one. I'm sure they'll accept him, just not now.

Also, I like the joke where the characters sneeze whenever someone is talking about them.

Bones has always been known for their distinct style and this felt like one of the easiest episodes to trace back to them. Studio C handled Soul Eater in the past and works on My Hero Academia now. You could really feel their touch on Whiteline, with the wavy scarf just like Asura, the pointed arrow just like Medusa, and that specific shot of his creepy smile just like Ragnarok.

what an intense episode omg

so that strange guy that reminded me of the tooth guy from season 2 was not in fact the tooth guy but a deranged fan boy that got out of prison and made it his life mission to get murked by endeavor.... interesting....

glad everyone's okay
so proud of the boys for stepping in when endeavor faltered
todoroki did his thing
bakugo saved natsu
and deku used blackwhip to safely rescue civilians!
amazing work! they really are pro heroes now!

endeavor's moment with natsu ;-;
what tough situation as a father to be in. i can't imagine what endeavor must be going through. he says he doesn't want forgiveness and that he just wants to atone for his mistakes but idk how he can do that without totally separating himself from his family :'(
those dreams that he's been having i guess were trying to tell him to let them go but it's painful that he can no longer be included in his family without reminding his family of all the pain and trauma he put them through

we still dont know how the older brother died but natsu blames it on endeavor. i feel like i would understand natsu's pain more if we knew what happened.

i hope in the future, todoroki can find it within himself to forgive his father, but i dont think it'll be any time soon and tbh i dont think endeavor will live long enough for his forgiveness to come.

so now fuyumi, natsu, and todoroki are moving out and leaving endeavor alone to atone, but it doesn't feel right.

what a tragic family story. so complicated.

Villain Ending just want his admired hero to end him. Alas Ending's end kinda anticlimactic, not by what he wishes for, but to become a sole plot driver to let the trios left Endeavour handle his family complex problem with 'that conclusion' and move forward into another arc without tracing back a decent mood behind. Bakugo silent just suit well...

But at least you see a slight improvement here and there for the characters involved, notably for Deku which manage to handle the second quirk as his wish well enough at that time. So, for a better or worse, its fine, but for another time being, let the time speak by itself what's lead them into!
