| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The full-length backstory of how Mystery Kiss is formed between the 3 idol hopefuls: Yuki Mitsuya, Rui Nikaido and Shiho Ichimura. From the POV of Nikaido, who wanted to be successful quick, she reaccounts her roller-coaster of a life, from idol life to even her own secret life with Baba from the Homosapiens (at a time when they weren''t successful). There were dreams and aspirations made for their major debut. But what happens next...BLOWS THE PLOT WIDE OPEN. Yuki Mitsuya IS that missing Nerima girl, with an unnatural death. It is then that Yamamoto hired both Yano and Sekiguchi to do the job of discretely moving hear away to the wharf (that Kakihana was kidnapped to), but not without dismembering Yuki and enclosing her like an evidence that wasn't meant to be surfaced. The cost of disposing the body for half of Mystery Kiss's profits and most despicable, the idol group's operation. Essentially, Yano, Sekiguchi, Yamamoto and Rui were all criminals of a crime they didn't commit, but are willing to do so. Another Yuki-lookalike girl by the name of Sakura Wadagaki joins in and dons the Yuki Mitsuya persona, so that's why Yamamoto made both Shiho and Sakura to wear those masks onstage (lest the suspicions come, which it came soon). It's uncanny how the this Kyushu Yuki-lookalike bears the same thoughts as the REAL Yuki, but leave it to fate to decide that part. Thanks to their concert act that got the attention of Imai, as is the missing Nerima high school girl case, and more than the Odd Taxi that shows up as part of that problem. Eloquently, Donraku shows up on Mystery Kiss's door, and as angry about the situation about Yuki, he couldn't do anything about it. It's seems strange that Nikaido would just let bygones be bygones, but looking back at her past actions, this would evidently come back to haunt her as time passed, and with the news outbreak, it definitely shocked everyone (minus those on-site). Back to Odokawa, the breaking news, together with Dobu's evidence, it all checks out. With the formal press conference that Yamamoto has to attend, and the discovery that BOTH Yuki Mitsuyas are different (the one that sat in Odokawa's taxi is definitely Sakura), Odokawa is SO CLOSE to knowing the full truth. Since Yamamoto bailed out, only Little Daimon can help him. Welp, even with much surveillance, Imai ended up the same as Kakihana, being kidnapped by Yano and Sekiguchi, and also realizing the full truth of the real Yuki Mitsuya. The drama of the Homosapiens, forget about making it thorough the N-1 Grand Prix comedy, Baba is pretty much done with Shibagaki, AND DONE FOR GOOD. Dr. Goriki finding out more of Odokawa's past, and his family wasn't in the best condition, I mean, parental double suicide? That's wrecked. Enquiring from the doctor whom last diagnosed on him, and the puzzle pieces slowly begin to form about Odokawa post-treatment after the freak accident. Everything about Odokawa is normal, except about that memory diary notebook, which is the BIGGEST mystery right now. The formal press conference for the apology of Mystery Kiss about Yuki Mitsuya, and what a confrontation by the grueling press that has everyone glued to the screen. Of course, IF YOU STILL DON'T GET IT, go and rewatch this episode, because ALL the answers have finally been revealed, except for the murderer who murdered the REAL Yuki Mitsuya, and this walrus that is Hiroshi Odokawa, what is he all about. Odokawa and Little Daimon's plan is about to begin, as per all hands at deck for the bank robbing. Lots of infodump of this "scripted play", but MAN, WOW THE RESULTS. THE CAT IS OUTTA THE BAG! |

| Oh boy... once again, loads of information just poured out on us like crazy. First, Nikaido and her story, the way things were going there was almost like the hobby turned into passion turned into jealousy turned into murder. And nobody knows who's the murderer actually. Nikaido was so jealous of Yuki that she was going to murder her for taking her spot and what did she found? That, she's already dead. Not to hurt their sudden risen reputation they decided to hide the story of her murder and put it out as a missing case. Yuki was replaced by another idol so nobody notices. Nikaido fell in love with Baba which is pretty cute assuming how she felt about him in the beginning. The fact that he was with her in those hard times was really admirable for the guy. And him splitting up with Kensuke FeelsBadMan. :( Now, on the other hand, Shun once again has been kidnapped by Yano and things are really seemed to be turning up lately as Odokawa and his investigation skills are still top-notch and with the help of police, he has a better chance of handling everything. Everybody is getting involved in this case somehow and somehow it's really working well. Idk how the author did that. Not missing a puzzle piece. I guess. Gouriki is continuously studying Odokawa's case and looks like he's finally getting there. The case of Odaokawa's parents was quite surprising as it was stated a 'couple suicide' which can be really traumatizing for Odoakwa as a kid and I can assume how that might have affected his mental conditions. Props to Gouriki for being there for a friend. This is a brilliant piece of writing in front of us. Even with so much stuff going around, the author is not missing the spots to hit properly. |

| The whole truth regarding Mitsuya Yuki is out and as I thought it was the girl that Odokawa dropped off at the agency. Thou I do wonder who killed her. I thought it might be Nikaido but it's actually isn't her it seems. Maybe it's the fake Mitsuya Yuki? Cause she seemed persistent to join Mystery Kiss, specially since she came in fourth and with Nikaido there. Homo sapiens is finally through and I hope Shibagaki can make it big with his new partner. Goriki's really desperate to find out everything about Odokawa as his friend and I respect him for this. I hope he finds some clue as to how to cure him. Two more episodes to go, really excited to see how things will conclude. |

| I love how Nikaidou and Yamamoto handled the situation with the murdered cat. Like they were horrified and shocked but still managed to pull it out and continue with the project. Take this battle shounen protagonists who fail even before the battle have started! |

| I was glued to the screen for 20 minutes straight. How could have I ever not noticed that the first black cat Odokawa met, wasn’t the same from the one we know. I feel so dumb holy fuck. I was very confused with the sudden death news from last episode, and so this was what it was about, holy fuck. And so Yuki Mitsuya is the Nerima girl. I don’t feel like Odokawa was the one who killed her, I should rewatch the first episode but I don’t want to do that for more shock value when it will be revealed Also, cool last line from Goriki! |
| I had to think about why the Older Daimon was with Odokawa during the plan but it makes sense because he is working with Dobu...but now I am scared because what happened to the little brother? No one can get in touch with him. So Donraku's daughter is in fact Yuki. I find it interesting though how Tanaka wanted the Donraku eraser and Fale Yuki Mitsuya helped him plant a tracker in Odokawa's car. It is going to be interesting to see what happened to a lot of these characters because a lot of them are Criminals at this point. Goriki's line at the end was POWERFUL as well. I think he is going to open up the Diary and see a lot of Animal drawings. The biggest question still to this day IMO is: What OR Who is in Odokawa's closet? | I think Yamamoto is likely the killer. It was late at night past the run time for trains. Why was he in the office when Nikaidou and Yuki were meeting up there? My guess is Yuki arrived at the office and sees something she shouldn't have about Yamamoto, and is killed. Yamamoto probably had planned on disposing her corpse through the Yakuza before Nikaidou even arrived. |
| Next episode is gonna be wild. So much build up with the heist, Odakawa’s plan being up in the air, Little Daimon being AWOL, Mystery Kiss murder and cover-up, and Odakawa’s illness. Can’t wait. |
| We FINALLY got to see the Mystery Kiss's backstory, and this episode pretty much answered a lot of big questions that were left hanging for over a number of episodes. Odokawa's past is slowly coming into view as Goriki tries to connect the available pieces bit by bit. The long-awaited heist will most probably begin in the next episode and the final curtain of the clash between Odokawa, Yano, Dobu, and Tanaka will finally start to rise. Though this episode gave certain answers about the main mysteries of the show, it has also birthed some more: 1. Who killed the real Yuki Mitsuya 2. Which one did Odokawa really drive in his taxi 3. Little Daimon's whereabouts And also the possible actions of Kuroda and Donraku after they learned the truth about the missing Nerima girl. Original animes tend to be a complete hit or miss, and this one is definitely the former. They can't possibly ruin the conclusion of this perfectly constructed story from start to finish. (Un)arguably the AOTS. |

| Mitsuya was so beautiful,poor girl.Truly a Center worth it. And because of a bitch(in both ways of the word) Ichimura the short straw, after all she was getting less money, and had to participate in shady business. Meanwhile Nikaido was living a normal life. I fear for Ichimura future, even with everything she had done. AND WHAT KIND OF STREET SMART PERSON THREW A BODY CLOSE TO HIS OWN BASE? |

| I feel so absolutely terrible for Mitsuya, she was trapped in a rock and a hard place, Nikaido was setting off a few red flags before but yeah this episode made her hard not to dislike. I feel bad for Baba potentially getting caught up in this simply by being with her. This episode really kicked the series tone from cynical but largely comedic into something far darker and I wonder if there might potentially be some fatalities in the next few episodes, shit seems to be going down. |

| More of missing high school girl mystery, around the group idol Mystery Kiss. Coincidence? I think this is the answer arc for those mystery. Even though the real culprit(s) is (are) still unidentified and unknown. But i am so glad that Rui wasn't the one who killed Mitsuya. She already found death when Rui was there. So, a bit of suspecting manager cause he was there too, and the other cat girl named Sakura. Idk why those girl act so suspicious this episode. But, left aside that first, i never expect before that the relations between Rui and Baba based on such a pure and wholesome situations. They were supporting each others. Even Rui considered him as her motivation against those rough idol industry. Better than i thought their relations was supposed to be. Thats a very good backstory. Too bad, the worst situations that hit Rui idol group created a disturbance for Baba comedy situations too with his partner. I do hope they are going well enough at their last performance as a duo comedian before they parting aways. As for Odokawa situations. Good luck for you getting out of those changing shit. Odd Taxi plan still have to executed. The manager already out of his radar to giving a helping hands, the hideout already been moving out from the origin, and now big Daimon bugging him too out of a sudden. By considering the previous part, i can't help but think, that the timing make Odokawa plan way more difficult than i thought before. So, yeah, good luck out there, mysterious but slowly getting revealed, taxi driver.... |

Yamamoto was probably worried that the death of a member under mysterious circumstances was gonna be a danger on the potential success of the group. Situation 1: The mysterious death of a member plagues Mystery Kiss in the media, forcing them to break up and end their dreams of striking it big. Might seem weird to the west, but the innocence of idols is a big deal in Japan. I could very easily see bad press such as this bringing about the end of an idol group IRL, even if no one in the group or management was at fault. Situation 2: Due to Nikaidou being the one to lead Yuki to the place where she died, and her careful planning and intent to kill her if she didn't step down, going to the police would instantly make her a prime suspect in the murder. She has a clear motive, and all her actions and exchanges with Yuki leading up to the murder are highly suspect. The police getting ahold of her phone would make that very clear. Even if it was proven she didn't kill her, the scandal would no doubt bring about the end of Mystery Kiss. Situation 3: This one is more of a theory, but it could be that Yamamoto has some kind of connection to the murder, and is covering his own tracks. We still don't know why he was present at the building when Yuki was murdered. He also is no stranger to attempted murder, specifically by chocking (IE with Odokawa in the taxi when he wouldn't hand over the video tape). Someone that willing to resort to killing to protect his vision for Mystery Kiss has got to have his reasons... |

| That whole Nikaido's backstory with how the crime happened was really interesting, but it's even more mysterious that she found dead like that without anything else, and they all had to hide it and erase the corpse by throwing it in the sea hmm, also it explains everything about Odokawa's fear of water with the accident with his two parents suicide in the water with him too in the car, and the notebook drawing of animals which would confirm how he started to perceive people as animals after this accident that would affect his brain in a weird way |

| This episode was fine, just fine. There was a lot of dialogue and backstory in this episode, and ultimately most of it was pretty dry and boring, and it's just not as good as the previous episodes, however I still am super excited for next weeks episode to release. |

| Man, that was a fantastic episode! Didn't expect to get half the episode in the perspective of Nikaido, well we did get a whole episode dedicated to Tanaka. I feel really bad for Mitsuya and her father Donraku, Mitsuya seemed really nice. You know, despite Nikaido being crazy, her relationship with Baba is pretty sweet. I wonder who killed Mitsuya, Sakura is definitely my prime suspect though. So, Odokawa was the taxi driver that drove Mitsuya to the office, now I want to see that dashcam footage if ever they talked about something. I wanna know fully what happened to Odokawa's family that lead to them drowning in the ocean. Goriki is best boy though damn, he is a true bro. I can already tell these last 2 episodes will be amazing, looking forward to it. |

something's wrong with Little Daimon... pretty much all connections with all the characters have been established so far, the only ones that remain to be seen are the comedians and Odokawa's to be assassin, even though some small connections have been made, I feel there's something more |

So most probably, he picked up real mitsuya on Oct 4.Actually my question is whom did he drive on October 4th. I sense a contradiction between ep 5 and ep 10. In ep 5, Odakawa told Yamamoto, that the girl he drove to the agency before(probably on Oct 4th) is not one of the girls he drove that day. Meaning it could be the real Mitsuya he drove earlier. In ep 11, it was established missing Nerima girl is Mitsuya. In ep 10, Dobu showed a pic from dash cam datato Odokawa and told him the girl on photo is not the missing high school girl but shows resemblences. The cam data was taken before Yamamoto took those girls on taxi in Ep 5. So this could mean, the girl on photo was not real Mitsuya as confirmed by Dobu. So was it fake Mitsuya who drove on Oct 4th? BUT... Dobu says it isn't the real Mitsuya, just someone that matches the description. I'm just guessing this one, but it all adds up in my mind. Many people have said it before too. He DID pick up both Mitsuyas on Oct 4. I'll leave it up to you to interpret that. but... damn lol you've got keen observation, never would've noticed that contradiction if you hadn't said it, so thanks for that. That just added more evidence to the theories put forth about the killer. it'd still be exciting if the story about it something else tho edit: i just realized one thing, it could've only been the fake mitsuya that odokawa had picked up on Oct 4 too. Real Mitsuya had another taxi but they both had the same destination |
