I didn't even like the series as much as most people but when it comes to high school rom-coms with good character writing I think it's pretty hard to find better than Oregairu. The love triangle between Hachiman, Yui, and Yukino was pretty great imo. Also it handled some pretty interesting themes while usually not coming off as pretentious.

I mean just look, we got Sayu and Gotou both loved by Yoshida, kinda like Yui and Yukino. Hachiman also like them both but he wants a more 'genuine' LOL. And then we got Mishima, a side girl who literally have no interest by Yoshida. Remember Iroha the annoying girl, yeah kinda same rite.

Different premise. but same character arrangement with adult settings. and both are long title LN. We already seeing some salt, people already divided between Sayu and Gotou. I mean since Oregairu already ended, might as well see a new one to replace it.

Oregairu was overwrought pseudo intellectual posturing, which worked fine when it had (some) comedy, but then it started to take itself way too seriously.

The main ongoing "unintentional" comedy was the ridiculous solutions to mundane problems bit, but I guess that at least chimes with the too often bizarre workings of the teenage mind.

This isn’t as good as oregairu but it is similar and that’s all he said. This show, like oregairu, acknowledges the social psychology within the romance of a love triangle (or somewhat harem)

There are conversations and tones of acknowledging whether someone should love another? Will it be for the best to express feelings or hold the status quo, what decisions should characters make in order to ensure a good outcome? These thought processes are explored in both shows and are similar in that aspect that we are watching a romance that delves deeper into the psychological appeal without having a straight psychological genre or tag

EVEN THE ANIME MAN STATED THIS SHOW WAS GOING TO BE LIKE OREGAIRU. This was actually the sole reason I watched this show in the first place
And I am enjoying this one, check out my list tho, oregairu is my 2nd favorite anime all time and I have no qualms comparing this show to that masterpiece
