Fractale is a 2011 anime that was slept on and for some reason unknown to me a low score on this site. It has a Miyazaki feel about it. I liked it well enough to rewatch it. Glass no Kamen (2005) is a remake of an 80s acting anime. It has a controversial relationship in it but the main focus is on the MC’s progress in acting Guin Saga - incomplete ending but it has a unique South American atmosphere. Based off of a long running novel series that is so rare that only 5/130 have been translated into English Juuni Kokuki - rare enough to be on YouTube. Incredible world building, but a very incomplete ending The rarest I’ve ever watched was Wellber no Monogatari, but it’s only guilty pleasure worthy. The second season is nearly impossible to find with English subtitles, but it existed as of 10 years ago when I watched it. |

Okay, here's a list of the 20k- viewers shows I rated 8+. https://myanimelist.net/anime/2762/Igano_Kabamaru That thing is hilarious, sweet af and short. If you love silly comedies like Ranma, this is a MUST WATCH. If you don't it's still a must watch because it's shorter and funnier. https://myanimelist.net/anime/1962/Chikyuu_Bouei_Kazoku Bittersweet, over-the-top sentai-like show about a normal family on the verge of splitting up having to defend the Earth. 1k5 viewers for that thing? It's CRIMINAL https://myanimelist.net/anime/1488/Area_88 Somehow this classic is below the 20k viewers, wth MAL https://myanimelist.net/anime/1441/Ginga_Tetsudou_no_Yoru Brainfuckery, chill and poetic. https://myanimelist.net/anime/2422/Kenritsu_Chikyuu_Boueigun Hilariously dumb in a good way. https://myanimelist.net/anime/1944/Photon Same https://myanimelist.net/anime/1901/11-nin_Iru Awesome sci-fi movie with a nice golden age feel to it. https://myanimelist.net/anime/1384/Kyuuketsuhime_Miyu Mushishi but with a vampire grill MC. https://myanimelist.net/anime/1352/Cyber_City_Oedo_808 Kawajiri is a legend. A LEGEND! https://myanimelist.net/anime/544/Venus_Senki Even less viewers than for Area 88? WTH IT'S A CLASSIC, MAL! https://myanimelist.net/anime/432/Iria__Zeiram_The_Animation Good way to kill some hours. https://myanimelist.net/anime/373/Bannou_Bunka_Neko-Musume Laughed a lot. https://myanimelist.net/anime/311/Ace_wo_Nerae Not sure how this has so little viewers when it's such a huge classic which massively influenced Anno. |

A good quarter of my ongoing manga aren't even listed here, and lots of them have very, very little viewers. https://myanimelist.net/manga/120414/Search_and_Destroy MAL really needs to hire some french/italian manga database mod, it's a joke rn. |

The Koihime Musou (Unrivalled Love Princess) series, there's 3 seasons plus a bunch of OVA's and Specials and i love every one. It's based on an eroge game, although I've never played it. It's cgdct action show set in Ancient China with the warring kingdoms, where each leader is a gorgeous woman or cute girl. There are some males in the show, but they've either villains or buffoons. Plenty of yuri fan service, bright colours and packed episodes. The only issue i have is the complicated naming code they have in that Chinese era, where people each have a nickname/warrior name, a family name and a given name. So 3 names for each person and when there's a large cast (30 plus by the 2nd season), it gets confusing quickly. If you like cgdct action shows (eg Azur Lane, Strike Witches or Etotama) then try this show out. |

A friend who's seen them told me not to expect the same level of quality as Memories of Phantasm though... The first is not action at all, more of a mystery (unresolved mystery that is). Its visuals get drastically better in episode two. (They are actually 4 episodes not 3, kind of weird numbering. It has some gorgeous visuals after the change in the art style.) The second looks really meh, has only glimpses on the real story (the battle for the Moon) and it's daily life with different characters. |
