I'm sorry? Did you say LoGH is objectively the best show to ever grace the world of anime?

I agree, I agree.

I think it's a pathetic state when you have to be so completely obsessed with something FICTIONAL that you can't function without it or accept that some people don't like it as much as you. Kinda creepy actually.

Can we say mental illness? Maybe its schizophrenia and the characters are talking to them... o_O;
It's not like that's something new. We just seem to be going from religion over to entertainment and media obsession, whether it's worshipping musicians and actors or fictional characters.

I always considered musicians as fictional characters. In all honesty, how many of them actually are as they appear in music videos and such?

essentially, they're whoever their target audience needs them to be. which is why i have no idea why people are actually pissed that kanye west did that to taylor swift. really, she should be writing him a thank you letter, and so should beyonce. you think ANYONE was gonna remember she won that if he hadn't done that? absolutely not. he boosted both their careers.
my point being, he did it for publicity too. but it passes as his "douchebag personality" so at the end of the day, most musicians are hand crafted unless your personally involved with them off stage. and some of them are just evil jewish cyborgs, like the jonas brothers.

So here's my question, considering the picture in the post.

Even though her appearance might seem like a non starter, if she liked waking you by sucking you off, because the feel of your manhood unloading in her mouth while you were barely aware of what you were doing turned her on, would you be ok with calling her your girffriend?

Would it help if she wasn't wearing anything under the skirt, because nothing made her hotter than being bent over by you and fucked good and hard. Could you love her? :)
While not technically anime, currently I am a big fan of Hatsune Miku.
At least I can go see her in concert.

Either that or when you can't handle someone else's opinion about your fandom, I would think. Otherwise, fandom on.

When you start harming yourself or other people, it's dangerous. When you neglect things that were previously essential and important to you, ie your family, friends, school, job, health, etc, or when you disrespect the opinions, property and safety of others for the sake of proving a point about your anime.

People who lock themselves up in a basement with their 10 shelves of figurines and a harem of hug pillows may be obsessed, but at least pretty harmless.

Those guys will remain a myth in our beloved North America. As in, the % of anime fans who actually behave that way is minuscule at best. I dunno about Japan though.

Well, what I meant was something like, lashing out at people because they have a different opinion on an anime. "Omg you don't like Naruto? You fag!" type of thing.

You're right, it's not harmful, but it sure is stupid XD Hope that clears it up!

Hmm. Cosplay is okay if limited to conventions. When people dress up like that in public, thats stupid. Also i don't mind extreme fandom as long as they keep it to themselves and don't annoy others.

I think extreme fandom is alright just as long as you respect the possible extreme fandom of someone else. Whatever you enjoy doing go for it.

Extreme "hatedom" though...Whoever dabbles in that area should probably get something better to do with their time.

of course not. i'd probably scream every time I saw her trying to eat my cock. that would be terrible.

Here are some things to indicate your fandom has gone too far-

1. dressing like a character from a favorite show, movie, book,tv/cartoon series and etc.

2. speaking some made up language from the show, or book.

3.getting into fights with other fans or friends over favorite show, movie, book,tv/cartoon series and etc.

4. Having fantasies about the characters or trying to associate yourself with the characters.

5. Hassling the author or going to nerd conventions to hassle out of work actors who are desperate for a paycheck about info about the show, book, movie and etc,

6.Making your own web page dedicated to the show, book, movie,tv series and etc talking about how obsessed or how you love the show.( This excludes informational sites and download sites.)

7. Making a youtube spoof video. I do not know how many times my niece tried to get me to watch some irritating Naruto spoof video where it sounds like some idiotic little kids dubbed their voices.

That's what I sometimes do. though fights mean just word fights/arguments and nothing physical. XD So, maybe i m an extreme fan of some animes. Regarding fan assaults, I'm glad singapore is quite safe though there are many who belong to twilight cult or other cults. XD

Not what I meant. I mean, it's okay for a person to say something is awesome and should be watched, but it's NOT okay for the person to keep on doing that if someone isn't interested.

Nothing is worse than a fan so extreme as to be deluded that anyone else would enjoy their horrible show.

I once came across someone the other day who said that they wouldn't kill themselves just because someone else didn't like the same show as they did.
What a fantard.

Once you get to that point, you're pretty much beyond help.

ZZ. seems my choice of words is confusing. lemme rephrase. Well, what i want to mean is that singapore is safe from such crimes though there are some people who are twilight fanatics/ who like twilight extremely. I haven't heard of twilight fans committing crimes in singapore cuz twilight is insulted.

Admin? Where?

Also, I think I've crossed the line. If you go to the topic with taken characters, you might find my name on that list. Can't blame me for it though, that character's hot-damn sexy.

And to get on-topic, extreme fandom is more bound to sub-culture if you ask me. 'Regular' people will find us extreme fans for buying DVD's and all that. We, however, find it normal and think otaku are extreme fans.

Oh gosh, the stories on that Twilight site :( i love Twilight, it is great (although the movie was just embarassing =_= Oh well, they did their best), but that is just to much! Stalking someones boyfriend because "he looks like how they imagined Edward"? :(

I believe that fandom gets to be too much when people pretend that it is real. It is one thing to wish it where real, think of ridiculous, elaborate ways in which it could be, but another thing completely to blatantly pretend that it is (this is not counting things like Harry Potter, where people legitimately believe that it could be, i mean people who believe that the actual characters are real, not just the world/idea).

Gosh, what could possibly drive someone to throw acid in someones face for not liking the same book as them? :(
