| Great episode I love that they added the new scene with willly, i prefer his anime version over the manga one now They nailed the terror of eren appearing The cgi was decent, nothing bad The backgrounds are top notch, and i will stand that the photography director even with her blur, is doing great work. |

well i'm not bitching around. great episode. love it. but it's so emotional, go for it Gabi-girl. favorite moment was Porco and the survey corps choreography at the end. |

| I’m the only one thinking that there should be transitions between escenes, in the last 2 episodes where terrible! I mean, Jaw Titán appears out of nowhere, then appears in Eren’s neck also out of nowhere. Those transitions are like I’m reading the manga, but that’s the point, on the manga is a normal thing, but on the Anime just looks cheap, it’s like they don’t wanna put some more money on making better elaborated escenes. Just disappointing. To me is a 4/10. |

| Mikasa looks somehow even worse than in the trailer. Episode was exhilarating as fuck though. It's super disappointing that even the 3D Gear scenes are 95% CGI. So conflicted. The animation annoys the fuck outta me but everything else is just masterclass. |

| Tsk. Couldn't get a good look at Levi. Stop moving for a second and lemme see your face, dude! I hope the new Colossal Titan makes his debut soon. I'm still pissed that they didn't give it to Erwin. At least make good use of it! Gabi ended up being a different version of Eren. She's extremely similar to him in S1. Each episode ends up better than the previous one and the emptiness it leaves after gets bigger every time... How am I supposed to wait until next Sunday? |

| I'm not complaining about the CGI, I think it's ok if that gives them more time to animate better another scenes. But switching constantly between 3D to 2D to 3D to 2D it just makes the inmersion go out the window for me. I think they should have stick with 3D for the titans and 2D for the Survey Corps & other caracters. |
| Man... this CGI is so fucking bad. Also everyone needs to chill out about people criticizing the animation. MAPPA should have given more time for the animators to create this scene or the entire series as a whole. In season 3 the scene with Levi vs Kenny, that took an entire month to do... This is just horrible. Shit just looks so robotic. They've got citizens sprinting like fucking Usain Bolt.. God this is almost as disappointing as 7DS. |

| Note- Before you mappa fanboy kids come roaring, I want to say just chill and relax. FUCK YOU actually. So this series as a whole is a perfect 10. But this season isn't on par with the source or its predecessors.. Hell I didnt even read the manga. I know that my suggestion won't lead to studio change so what, overpraising this won't lead it to the Emmys awards. Aot fandom doesnt really care about quality thats for sure, if they did, SnK s3p2 would be rated higher than this. Its all about My hype, My score. This season is not bad or mediocre, its just utter disappointment. Right here was a moment to create history gentleman. This is like watching The Matrix but remove all the good parts other than the story. This is what we have this season. My say on this episode, it was decent, nothing memorable about ost, pacing was decent, but too much cgi, it didnt even look like I was watching in 1080p. But these aren't the reasons for the disappointment. This season is really lacking in (you know what I'm talking about). THE HYPE. THE EPICNESS. The moment of absolute perfection of a melody hitting your ears, those animation falling on your eyes like bright sunlight, those insane moments of your favourite character fighting or talking or doing absolute nothing but it was epic. Those days are gone now. But my request to the aot fanboys/fangirls, PLEASE, dont harass the staff, they worked hard, maybe not smart, but its still their sweat in it. So please don't. |

| Look, it’s one thing if you’re a fan of the CGI or not. I’m personally always against CGI in anime. It never looks right to me. It’s a totally different thing to abuse and harass the animation staff on twitter. For some reason, so many people in this fandom feel entitled to have things exactly the way they want.( not necessarily on this forum/subreddit). MAPPA aren’t going to go back and change their plan because of a bunch of immature western losers who can’t accept that 1: they aren’t the target audience. 2: the staff are doing what’s most convenient for them. Instead of being happy about the great things in this episode/adaptation I’ve seen so many complaints. |

| I wasn't that bothered by the CGI. I didn't mind it on titans at all, but I did on humans (I even didn't mind CGI for manuverning gear). Still going strong. |
| Honestly, if the CGI was rendered in a higher framerate, as the CT in s2 or s3, this would've been completely fine. The framerate is seriously lacking for it. Other than that, this was a fire episode, but the CGI kept bothering me a lot. So for this episode, I would rate the animation part a 6/10, the art an 8/10, the CGI a 5/10, but every other aspect was top class as usual. Episode 1 CGI is miles better, and it would've been completely fine if they used that level of CGI instead. 7/10. It was fine, but it could've been a 9-10/10 if MAPPA was given enough time to hand draw everything. I'll probably start reading ahead in the manga. |

| CG wasn't too bad, compared to Wit's colossal titan, this is art, but it was overused. Jean in CG? Really? To me that screams lazy, as does the overuse of CG in this episode. So many close ups of the titans were in CG when they could've been animated traditionally. This just feels like a lazy episode, not a bad one per se, just, lazy. |

| I don't think that people realize that if we are more vocal about how bad the CGI is, the AOT production team will take note of that and either give MAPPA more time or just choose a different studio to animate the second half...... |

| I am still really hyped about Season 4 but for me, way too much CGI – it just ruined atmosphere. Also character design was somewhat strange like Floch for example . Maybe I just need more time to get used to it. Besides I really liked the episode – Porco realization was worth of goosebumps. |
| Good episode. The pacing was better than I expected it to be cause I thought much more material was gonna be covered here. That being said, this episode is the first in the season where MAPPA get's to show their skills in the action department and personally I think they nailed it for the most part. I'm personally not fond of having the titans being all CG but even with that it wasn't awful or made the action less immersive. You can clearly see that they're working hard on these set pieces and that much I can appreciate. So overall I hope MAPPA maintains this level of quality all throughout the season and I'm very much looking forward to the next episode. |

| This was so cool in the manga, so why exactly did it turn into a 24 minute slideshow in the anime? MAPPA has done a good job animation wise with their adaptations so far, but this sure was disappointing. Berserk 2016 level CGI. The sound the Attack Titan made when he hit the War Hammer with hardened fists was very strange and Berserk-like too. Edit: The CGI titans are alright, it works out. But the CGI humans look weird and wonky. It breaks the immersion. |

| Too bad some people are fixated on the cg when there are so many moments in this episode to rather enjoy. Heck, the cgi on AT aside, everything was done just right. Mikasa v WHT was well choreographed, ODM scenes were fantastic and OST choice was pretty decent (not the best). |

| Amazing episode I still hate the CGI it ruins the titans and the characters, from the preview all I can see is more CGI I really don't like the way the beast titan looks and the CGI at some points was laughable. The story is amazing and I am excited to see what happens. |
| Was a bit bored here, not as good or engaging as the previous episode for sure, although it was nice to see some old faces again pop up here. People should be grateful that they have an anime that doesn't look like Ex-Arm with their CG lol, the excessive amount of comments about how bad it looks is too much. I'd take these visuals any day over the manga's lol. |
| Okay but can we all agree that the scouts ATE UP. literally left no crumbs at all and they had the audacity to end it when things were getting good 😭. Hate the fact that people were literally on their knees begging for this season and are already hating on MAPPA for the designs when they were literally made to look EXACTLY like the manga like seriously have some human decency and be grateful we got it no matter what like no matter what MAPPA will continue to server throughout the entire season and if it gets you that mad just don't watch it then, no one if forcing you to. But anyways 10/10 can't wait for the next episode <3 |

| Okay, the episode is great and all, but the amount of CG on shit that did not need it is why I groaned when the MAPPA logo showed up in the trailer. They can't ever stop themselves, and they're convinced their 3D looks good. On titans every now and then, sure, it's fine. In maneuver gear scenes, it's actually laughable, they don't even use camera movement and clever shots to mask it. It's just simple 3D dolls on a static background. Pay your interns to trace the models, on threes even, nobody would mind, notice or pay attention. |

| So much ranting in these discussion threads by some of these newer fans. Yeah, the CGI doesn't look too well but it seems that every seinen out there will always inevitably get CGI for action sequences. Even SNK with it's bi audience. Am I the only one wondering about how they're going to fit all the remaining content in only 10 episodes? It's going to be tight for sure. |

| The essence was there I guess but god they are really pushing it with the cgi are not they? Holy crap when I first saw the attack titan I had to go back because I felt so uneasy, like I would prefer if the titans looked good but I can overlook as much as what was shown in episode one but this time it was too much even some of the humans from the survey corps looked so bad. Disclaimer: I am not in no shape or form insulting/harassing the animators, I was teached how to behave like a respectful human being. |
