Ooh, a basketball hitting into high gears with a close score between two teams this episode.

The crowd got very hyped into the match and I did like the shift between the slow and fast scenes of the match. The time ticking away during the match is also pretty tense imo.

Lovable basketball players everywhere, they're so charming, though I hope their interaction with each other could be more driven by sex instead of pure basketball. I imagine they'll live in the same dorm of the same University, probably the same room, makes my imagination run wild.

Minus point on the removal of eyes effect, the director should not yield to the demand of the author. And they're like the least important thing they should care about adapting this.

Since it was announced 50 episodes, I was afraid as I always though that 52 was the most suitable number. And so, the Story-boarding has been a real trainwreck lately. So after serving us their lowest page count last week (~45 pages), they made more than...100 this time.

And of course, as it was expected, they speed-raced and butchered tht game compared to the manga. But anyway, I should say that I am extremely surprised that they kept the "Chiba university" part as I thought that they would have removed it (same for Nabe).

But that does not change what is clear: please Diomedea, do not make sport anime anymore (eah I know that heir next project is an "ikemen X cross-media" Futsal anime...

Down goes Maru! The ferocious beast we saw near the beginning of this show just got blown to smithereens by Taiei. That team has some killers on it for real. Shiraishi can do everything it seems, score and distribute the ball when he needs to. Seeing him play was awe inspiring to see, that concept of a point forward playing on the court. Scoring like a forward but playing the one position and feeding the ball to teammates. The Taiei coach is a character I'm liking more and more too. We saw before how he was friends with Yuka but now seeing him as a coach is cool. Saying to Shiraishi just to score the points himself if he wants to win, just go out there and score.

Chiba and Tokiwa put up a good fight but of course not quite enough. Maru did their best but Taiei is too much of a monstrosity to defeat for them. Really intense game, Shiraishi just dominated too much. Then once Hyou came in that sealed the deal. No one can't stop the Cheetos head. That reverse dunk blew my mind! How'd he get hopes like that!? Insanity, I love it. Only one of their team we didn't see was the shorter one who passed Sora on those stairs but perhaps in their practice match. Already got some decent player match ups to look forward towards with who all Taiei has compared to our Kuzu bois. Liked how so many on the team came to see the game, Chiaki, Tobi, and Momoharu all spotting out the competition. Excited to see their game.

The animation for this has gotten worse and worse. This week just felt pathetic.

Have we ever seen them animate a jumper with the ball going in all in one shot? They either give us close ups of the ball going in, or that terrible power point slide animation when someone does like a layup.

I like the story, but I really wish someone like Production IG got a hold of this series instead.

what a great episode !! is been a while since I got touched by sport anime.
I really wanted Shinmaruko to win the game since I love Chiba and Tokiwa <3
But Kuzuryū vs Taiei ?? I don't think they gonna win even after what Sora said :( ( tho. I wish they can win)

I hope in future or in the manga we will get more moments of Chiba, Takahashi and Kojima (and if the manga contained in UNI want Sora and the other join their team)

Totally agree with this.if the actual games were properly animated..this show would have been a lot more popular

ohh this will be an interesting one, they are planning to make Chiaki as Forward instead of point guard... lets see how that one will work out

I haven't read the manga, but it seemed like the show skipped a big chunk of this game. Like, I didn't even realize that Shinmaruko was actually behind in points until the last moments of the game.

Hard to believe they actually squeezed a whole match into one single episode.

Anyways, it was still a entertaining episode. Maru did their best and Chiba showing his dotes as captain was great. Hope to see Momoharu acting like that (dunks included) before this series concludes.

So I am used to bad animation since I watched some really cheap Isekai, but this is getting really bad. Pls just do one full animation of a player doing a dunk or smth. This slideshow is awful. I love the characters and the story. I wish the animation would do them justice... :(

Lol, should've come together and share a group group ticket.

This was nice. Maru did damn well, foremost Chiba.

Sora is extremely optimistic, kinda refreshing. And it's not like he's completely wrong. Kuzu has the potential and in the team department they can make up for other shortcomings, but will it be enough? Would need a miracle to win and since winning isn't really necessary I won't expect it.

Wow when Kojima & Takahashi said they wanted to play ball with Chiba. What a team that would be!

Loved that ending moment between Momoharu & Tobi, and Momoharu hearing what Sora had to say about their team & about him. Nice ending with a nice shot of Momoharu ♡

Fuwa really showed off there with that reverse dunk. Shinmaruko losing doesn't really show much hope for our Kuzu team, especially considering it has not been that long ago since they lost against Shinjo (weaker team than Taiei). Have to say Sora's assessment is wrong, he totally forgot about the starplayer Nabe.
