| Bakemonogatari > MSSS Feel free to disagree, but at least know that that's objective @_henri My main problem was how inconsistent it was; The arcs ranged from masterfully made to "I don't give a fuck about this." + It felt as if they were scraping the bottom of the barrel for plot at times. The things that Bake has above all the others and that makes it my favorite in my opinion is the direction, the atmosphere, the wordplay, and well... everything. There's just that feeling and atmosphere that Bake has that just hasn't been replicated. Whether it's the dialogue or the direction, or just the plot as a whole, I think that's where the series peaked (not counting Hitagi End). Although all of this can be related to how one can get tired of the same style after a while, so it's natural that I'll prefer the first one. Now, if Hitagi End was a standalone series like Neko or Hanamonogatari, I think almost everyone would agree that that would be the best one (myself included). But all I can do is dream. |

| Usually people who are into series like Ashita no Joe and Legend of the Galactic Heroes really hate Code Geass. Interesting to see it there. Joe and Galactic Heroes are still the best shows on that list by a long shot though. |
