| you should probably watch the movie first (Ordinal Scale) as main characters from the movie come back towards the end in alicization war of the underworld part 2. The movie is pretty good imo, seemed pretty high budget. |

| After the first part of season one, SAO becomes a really shallow anime with average content. Every season is the same thing for me, it starts with a good plot and then turns out cliche and weak. There is a lot of people who enjoyed it but since you disliked the second season I'd say it isn't much different. I felt like it was the worst season in terms of story development, that's just my opinion though. |

| I like alicization though its completely average and takes on mature themes... Badly, like think of rape and implement it on your show in the most immature way possible... Alicization season 2 is better than season 1 but both are still way way average though they are still way better than the previous seasons |

| Alicization was alright just not as great as people say on this site and alicization-war of underworld is just bad and extremly dull to me. Your choice friend. Also neither of these seasons have better fight scenes than s1 just so you dont go in expecting better fight scenes. |

| imo sao3 is on par with aincrad arc, a bit better in some parts, if you liked it you can watch it. sao2 was definitely weak |

| I thought that the first half of s1 SAO was SO good. Then everything else was so bad. But if you ask me, s1 > s4 > s2 > s3 |
| I'd say that the first half of Alicization is actually pretty good and I deffinatly enjoyed it however I wasn't a massive fan of the second half. It had mindless fun fight scenes but that's really all the second half had however the first half has some really interesting Characters so I'd recommend giving it a shot. |
| Season 3 is probably the only best thing to happen to SAO, though it still ended up almost mediocre, it has more of a story, character development and better action scenes. Though it still had r*pe themes... |

| If you really want to watch it, I recommend just watching the Alicization (the first one) and don't watch beyond that (War of Underworld arc). The Alicization's premise seems ok, there is some character development, Kirito seems more grounded than ever and can't use cheat to beat every single enemy. It's an enjoyable show. The first part of the War of Underworld is okay, not until Kirito's friend decided to join. After that, it's a just a cringe-fest one after another, you're gonna cringe every single episode. |
| i'd say Alicization is the best of sao so far, although i'd say the war of underworld (the one after alicization) is pretty crap, just watch alicization |
