THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
At this stage, it's the best of the best in the tournament.

Quite frankly, I'm surprised Hiro is going this far so early in the show but as someone with a lot of potential, he's holding his own. Plus, he's got charisma to entertain the match with his style.

Just how Kazuki and Mimori be able to enter the tournament when they're just rank B and C in previous episode?

This is the third time Hiro's opponent is not 100% serious, the first is Lucia, the second is that Grand Master, now this idol, and probably the next episode Takuma's brother is not playing serious too, that guy seems very sly. I think Hiro need to lose more often to reflect his real skill.

I don't see the point of the battles, Hiro always win there is no surprise, next opponent looks average.

I think that's just more to build up Hiro as a player. To show that he is a credible player. As I suspect down the line, Hiro will get his ass kicked by a few players, which will lead into him wanting to grow stronger. As per usual formula for a card anime.

So you think he will lose the tournament ? Idk to be honest I feel like they're going to make Hiro's friends lose but he will win at the end

How many times yugi from yu-gi-oh lost? Almost 0 as well so I don't see issue with that.
Problem is with skipping middle of battle and the fact Hiro never really won a battle yet.
The opponent lose on purpose -_-
That's why I find it so bad. Also I HATE ignis Dragon bullshit card that always finish game... Like Yugi ALWAYS finish it with something new, some nice combo.

Hiro is like HUR DUR IGNUSU DRAGONUSU... such bad writting. And shadowverse has SO many combos and strategy with 1500+ cards...

I remember Yu Gi Oh to have at least mostly good and interesting opponents, like Kaiba, here all the opponents are lame and like you said they're so bad that they lose on purpose, this is why I don't see the point of the battles so far.

It's 50/50 for me tbh. As I can see both things happening. Him wining in the end due to over coming his friend's loses. Or him seeing Luca's true power and loses to him. Otherwise if Hiro does just keep wining, it wouldn't be fun tbh. Would just get stale and boring if there seems to be no challenge to him. But with the ideas that they've set up with powerful players going easy on him, I'm hoping that isn't the case, and that he'll lose to Luca.

Yes I think the same, I just hope they will introduce new really strong and charismatic opponents.
I would have like Hiro to be only a beginner and then he become stronger and stronger, it would be more interesting.

No surprise who the opponent was.

I feel really sorry for Idols, I hate the way they are treated and all the restrictions placed upon them.

They are basically slaves.

Here in Australia we treat Women with respect and have zero tolerance for abuse, and we have slavery laws in place.

Hiro pulled another asspull win!
Alice trump card is already there! but she didn't use it! for sure it has attributes more powerful than Hiro's Ignis card. And also for sure she would win only if she used that!
maybe they are setting-up for Hiro for the most humiliating most disappointing defeat for him! he deserved it because of his hapy go lucky at no lose fight against anyone!
someone should set Hiro in place! HEHEHE (evil laugh)
4/5.

agree with you on this one... it seems like always whoever Hiro is fighting with, its like they are not giving their best thats why Hiro is always winning...

Alice card deck sure is cute plus she have the home court advantage because of her many followers...

anyways Hiro wins again since Alice ain't giving her best while fighting him... how i wish this series will give Hiro a real strong opponent, the one that will not have a handicap while fighting to Hiro

Mmmh .. seems familiar to me
The question isn't "What anime do you like?" That is merely a list.
The question is "Why do you like it?" That tells a story. Your story.

this episode was quite disappointing tbh, at least we had some cute Alice moments, even if they were fake :D

favorite "new girls" from summer <3 ... click sig for older seasons and more possible picks (rip all the other choices)

You missed the end of previous episode... they both got invitation cards from the Grandmaster, which bypass any ranking required to enter.

___ ___ ___

Awww... the Idol Alice couldn't really enjoy the game cause her mom's a bitch.

Guess that's the reason why she goes to the Stadium in disguise and find ppls to battle, cause she can't do any real battle in any official stages. (looks like this will be one of the darker side of this anime, all card game anime gotta have one)

___ ___ ___

Ppls complaining about MC winning all fights... it's a Card game anime... literally all of them have the MC win in some way.

In fact, since ppls are already using Yu-Gi-Oh...

Yugi won with almost all fights with his "Dark Magician" (same as Hiro winning with Ignis Dragon)
Yugi wins with his "heart of the card" (for that miracle draw... pretty much everyone in Shadowverse anime do that at one point)
Yu-Gi-Oh had "villains" (Shadowverse have some, just they tends to get "befriended" rather quickly... unlike Yugi vs Kaiba that has Rivalry for almost the entire time until the very end)

Same with every other Yu-Gi-Oh sub-series too, all MC always have a special extra powerful rule breaking Deus ex Machina Card that lets them win at the end every single time. In fact, in the current Yu-Gi-Oh series, the MC has his "SEVEN" cards and monsters, which is OP cause the MC recreated the Duel Monster Game to what he wanted, so his monsters is literally made for the new game... where as everyone else kept with their old monsters and some cards become useless in the new game.

Even here the idol world is harsh. Alice couldn't play the card cause of her job. That Skeleto Raider card looks so cool too, I hope she can battle for real someday. Also wow her manager is her mom.

“Ecila sounds like Alice backwards.. but it has to be a coincidence, right?”
Of course it is, Ecila is such a common name.

I don’t get why Alice doesn’t just simply replace those cards she’s not allowed to play with cards she actually can. Problem solved.
