| I sort of understand why first two eps. are pre-screened (from the information show on last Friday revealing them), because I heard they are prequel (ep.0) of both Light and Dark sides. KajiKaji's character is from poor village. He tries his best to get the villagers out from monsters attacking, but failed. He's the sole survivor. A knight suddenly came to give him food and water. KajiKaji's character likes the light which sometime shined in. Knight vs. KajiKaji's character for conversation through sword fight (sort of giving him reason to live). He entrusted his wish to KajiKaji's character because they are alike. Horie-san's character's turn. They are fighting against certain dark power. Showing three siblings who fights for the king/queen. KajiKaji's character meeting the one who served the knight who died. Is it just me or it feels like both sides had two choices and KajiKaji's character and Horie-san's character were chosen to be the next kings. |

| ngl based on the intro and opening alone I feel like this may end up being the best non-sequel romance this season :P but low-key kinda interested to see how this plays out. Studio behind it doesn't really have the greatest track records so I don't have that many expectations in the first place, but we'll have to see |

The story though seems really good and has some original concepts for me so I’ll definitely stick with it, never dropped anything. I just won’t be waking up early/losing sleep for it lol. | It's so hopelessly, helplessly Generic Fantasy, but without anybody going anywhere or doing anything, and the thing that it seemingly wants to highlight in the relationship between the two characters, is something that just flat out not just doesn't exist in this episode, but shows no sign of existing in the immediate future either. It's not like the episode ends on their meet-cute. Boobs McGee continues staring at the god crystal. Emo Von Angstingstan is hanging in the slums being melancholic with older, grumpier men. Even put together, the two barely have a personality between them. I don't see how they could possibly have any chemistry together. |

| This seemed mediocre; the pacing was a little too fast, but the themes and world building seems somewhat intriguing, if not generic. Although, the 'search for eternal stagnation' theme pervading the Kingdom of Light is dichotomous to the 'search for eternal happiness' seen in our protagonist, which is actually a pretty original and exciting concept. |

| I like this Romeo and Juliet kind of story but the pace is very awkward and so cliched. kinda disappointing And btw I find it funny that old man looks like he is "faking his death" just to tell the hero he is the CHOSEN ONE !!! He doesn't like his dying so it so cheesy and out of place |

| Okay, literally the only reason I watched this was because I was bored and my uni friends told me they didn't have any work for me today. Normally this is one of those shows I wouldn't even bother with because the poster and synopsis alone are enough to turn me off but boredom has a way of making you do things you wouldn't normally do. Either way, I thought the script in the first scene was alright but the visual design is so ugly and terrible that I'm surprised I actually finished the episode. The animation is weird and cheap, in that first scene the main guy looks like he wandered into the wrong show and everyone else is just ugly as hell. And this, kids, is why stepping out of your comfort zone is always a bad idea. |

| This first episode was laughably incompetent. The dialog was atrocious. "You're like an older sister to me, we've been together a long time. We trained together to become the successor to the throne" is not how your write convincing human conversation. That's a step below your typical bad exposition. People are just constantly narrating how their powers work, how they know other characters, and it was distractingly bad. The directing choices of how to frame shots and what transitions to use between scenes to set the mood were baffling. So many scenes felt cut in half because the scene would randomly fade out, move to a new location right at the point that you'd expect the show to pause and let the emotions sink in for a second, and these fades just felt like they were occurring at random times for no discernible reason. The abrupt shifts in tone from characters hating people to crying over them were jarring. And finally, the backgrounds. UGH. Literally NO effort to make them look good or to make them match the character animation. There were multiple scenes where it felt like the characters were walking on a different plane than the plane of the actual background, or the background was moving at an obviously different speed than the animation (enough so that it made me pause the episode multiple times to go back and verify that I'd really just seen what I thought I had.) And in addition to that, the shadows often didn't match, the ground was often just a flat plane with a rock texture filter applied over it, and that one cliff texture in the light kingdom looked like a 2-D cutout. The compositing was just consistently atrocious. The character animation and voice acting was salvageable, but as a whole this first episode was a mess of incompetent execution. |

| 45 seconds in, and already epic titty jiggle. NOICE! So far...it has...promise? Promises, Promises ;P BUt its on hold now...and once I sart something, its gotta be really bad for me to drop it these days. Coloring is a bit off though, and at times I thought I was looking at smelly cgi. =_= Still too early to judge, but it was okay. ^^ Translation was a bit off at times oddly enough. One kid gets eaten and sasy " ite" which means Owch in japanese, but the sub put "go" which would have worked if the boy said " ike" lol The quality looks kinda...subpar at times, but it gets kinda brutal with child death, so whom knows if this will be some grimdark stuff or just another fantasy romance. |
