| I think its more similar to Honzuki than Kenja no Mago, at least to me, after the first ep. But who knows, maybe it will get worse, I was okay with the first episode though. |

| I like isekais but even I'm getting a little tired of them. But as always, I saw waifus on the PV so I gave it a shot xD. I gotta say, I liked it more than I expected. The title drop was hilarious and the poor noble family setting is interesting. Visually it looks nice, except for that awful CGI in the OP. Let's see how it goes. |

| "The 8th son? Are you kidding me?" more like "A mish-mash of Isekai tropes tried-and-failed? And is as every bit as uninspired?" The flashbacks of Kenja no Mago and Isekai Cheat Magician, plus the bastardized reincarnation presentation of Ascendance of a Bookworm comes back to haunt series like this. Starting out being from a noble but poor family isn't the most grandiose thing, and figuring out that MC is the 8th son...MEH? OP really didn't fit the tone...oh, and welcome back CGI monsters! For the harbinger, teaching a kid to be adaptive isn't the kinda idea I was thinking of, but yea...that Alfred guy just started the windfall. Mediocre start, just wishing that this'll be something different. |

| It is curious that this begins with the protagonist already OP he sighs wearily at having to do that and be the envy of all men, so goes home to his harem, all apparently doing nothing but sitting around, waiting patiently so they can dutifully serve him while munching on the slimiest looking piece of meat I have ever in my life seen. It's like they were scared that if people weren't reassured that it was going to be power fantasy dreck within the first fifteen seconds of the episode, they might tune out. At that point, we rewind and go through his origin story about… yelling out the title of the show. Remember that magus's grandson show from a couple seasons back? It's an almost a shot for shot redo of that, and that itself was already tired at the time. Is this really something that people were clamoring for? this is really pathetic |

| At least the character designs were consistent throughout the show unlike Isekai Shit Magician so that's a positive, for now but not expecting very high. The OP song reminds me of those late-90's to early 2000's anime shows, still bad imo. And the horrible CGI monster oh god bring back those shit garbage Arifureta memories again. |

| I'll give this a try since I like fantasy. The description sounded interesting and I feared that it might have a good setting ruined by the Isekai stuff. Fortunatelly the isekai stuff isn't even used much. (Main doesn't even care much that he suddenly is in the other world.) Unfortunately though ... the whole thing seems mediocre only. I hope there will be a bit politics and him using his skills to help the country. Though with the girls (I guess they'll get to be important and getting lots of screentime) harem annoying moments might ruin it. Feels 7-ish with the option to be 8 if I get used to it but also option to be 6 only if the girls are too annoying. The comedy (father can't read lol) was nice. Not to over the top like with other anime. The guys (male chars besides the main) were nice too. Not many good fantasy nowadas so I guess I'll stay with this. Waiting fore more anime to start this season. (This was the first on my planned list where I had to watch episode 1.) |
| the beginning was pretty bad. a wage slave remains with the mentality of a wage slave, the pauldron looks so bad it causes pain to me and then there is the fact he has the name of a girl. Wendolin is a girl's name. Then it gets pretty good at showing that a noble was not that rich as people think unless he pillaged the peasants to blood. About soup being just water that is bs. Plenty of herbs grow naturally that can be boiled to make a tasty soup : carrots, garden dock, salads, onions, needle, beans, depending on the year it tries to emulate may also be tomatoes and potatoes,always you will have mushrooms. So it would not be that shabby. Also you would have eggs as you would grow chicken. The rest is pretty accurate I would say so it is worth a try. |

| How do these shows still get approved? It felt like generic isekai number 58467278345678, with zero creative content, just copy and paste. Even if you are a person that likes isekai of that generic type, doesn't it get tiring after watching it so many times? Well, people have time on their hands, so maybe it will be watched, but I would argue there is a lot more stuff over the last years that is more worth the watch than this low effort copy of the standard. |

| Isekai anime are either Fun or not Fun. There is no inbetween. All of them are trash, anyway And this one looks like fun one, judging from this episode. That aside, fucking great production value on this episode. This episode is what "meh idea, great execution" looks like. The transition from regular world to another world was so smooth that I can feel the confusion that he is feeling, when you cook your food after long day of work to suddenly wake up at some guy party. I don't really know about the older MC. But the shota MC was not that bad. It just that I wish he have more personality when he is older. I really don't want blank MC to self-insert into. Also, live as poor noble fucking sucks, xD as illustrated from this episode. You literally live like poor citizen but instead of living at shit home, you live at shit castle. Also, your brother have to leave, because your family don't have money to afford them, like damn. |

| Pacing is overly slow, and what the hell was that reaction when that blonde mage landed in front of him. He's a 25+ year male and he reacted by closing his eyes holding a stick? What? I'll see what episode 2 and 3 do but looks like something with no real story. |

| The opening song is meh, doesn't really grab my attention. I read the manga before, I felt like the chara design change. CG monsterdoesn't make it better if you remember how bad Arifureta got adapted. There are only good or bad isekai. This is one of the bad one. For this season, Ascendance of a Bookworm S2 and Otome Game Death Flag seem more promising. |

Generic isekai but this time born into a poor "noble" family. Scene 1 confirms he has overpowered magic ability that is rare for normal humans. Scene 2 confirms he already has a harem of cute girls waiting for him at home. Red flags everywhere. |

| Yes, it's an isekai. Yes, it's a harem. Yes, the main character will get OP soon enough. ...yet i don't know. There is something likable about this show. I'm really liking this first episode (i've read the manga but so far, i'm having a better time with the anime). Might be a guilty pleasure I guess. 4/5 |
| Not a fan. The animation is really a mess. The character animation looked really flat and static against the dynamic CG-enhanced backgrounds. The CG books and wood doors really stood out. There is basically no play with light or shadow whatsoever to set the moods properly. The result for me was an overall aesthetic which looked like a mess of conflicting elements. The biggest problem of all for me, though, was the writing. It felt like none of the characters had a personality. Everyone was basically just generic and nice, and there really didn't seem to be much thought put into the dialog to ask "how would a real person react to this?" It just felt like people were saying whatever the plot dictated that they needed to say in order to move the story forward. The characters were devoid of humor or unique personalities or teasing or playfulness, they just spoke very directly and flatly. Basically, the whole thing fell really flat for me. It was devoid of color and life. It wasn't terrible, but it had a lot of problems. |

| Gonna try atleast one more episode since we didn't even get to the core of the story with how slow this start was, but I doubt this will be anything more that just another Isekai Cheat Magician or Kenja no Mago with a little tweaked setting. Oh wow, now he's from a poor noble family! So interesting... In case any of you are starving for a good isekai this season and didn't watch or like Honzuki hence aren't watching the second season, I recommend watching Hametsu Flag instead of this or the Shachou one. It may not have action in it and feel like a reverse harem, but trust me, its way better than the other isekai we have this season... |
| It's ok. Not bad, but not that unique or interesting. Was there a way for the exposition to be more... natural? Having the brother explain every damn thing felt weird and out of place Magic ball was also such a random way for him to discover his powers. And also, fancy ass dude randomly wandering in the woods was unintentionally funny. Very average but I will keep watching to see if things get interesting, as this episode pretty much just served as a way to get to the viewer to know the setting/universe (also, him being isekai'd is so unnecessary as he doesn't even seem to care about leaving his old life/questioning it). |

| Being born/isekaid in a poor noble family is better that being born/isekaid into a peasant one! Wow they have Volume 8 and 23 of that Poems of Love books, maybe some ancestors or other family members are hopelessly romantic besides the father who can't read at all? I would like a glimpse of that tome with the title "Baron Montwell's Dabuachery Chronicle" but it's probably fanfic. LOL Looks like he got that embellished blue cloak minus the left spaulder/pauldron from Alfred Rainford. |
