| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Finally, they got Hibiki back to normal. About time. As expected, Adam is still the Big Bad they had to take down altogether. A fitting way to conclude this show although it was rather predictable. What a hideous monster though. I had some mixed thoughts about the action. It seemed good on paper (Hibiki with the golden armor and barrage of punching) but also felt like pretty much every other one from this season with perhaps some more intense music. Personally, I liked the previous season better. Happy Birthday to Hibiki~ |

As he want to be the leader(dictator) after the moon curse is gone, basically what he meant there was: "now that I'm gone, you guys will have no hope in the future." Pretty deep, pretty deep. |
| Kudos to those who predicted about the shenshoujing being the reason why Hibiki able to wield the divine power. Though it is kinda predictable seeing as they make a lot of reference to previous seasons. (Hibiki and Miku 100% pure.. yuri!) And looks like Miku will be important in the next season, about time I say. Hibiki and Miku being able to wield divine power, next season god level fight. And now the overall episode.... OH GOD!! THAT WAS FREAKING HYPE!! This episode might be my most favorite final episode! Leave it Hibiki to be able to used the other gear, as she was also able to used the others' swan song. That ORAORA though.. one of the best I have seen. Glad that she and Genjuurou watched the show. GOLDEN BIKKIE!!! Now I really can't wait for the next season! Wish they make more. Movie even. Edit: Is it just me or did the score for AXZ just jumped from 7.73 to 7.83 after episode 13? If so, that's pretty awesome! |

| After watching raw episode 5 times and subbed episode 1 time. I finally learned that old bastard kazanari wanted to make the divine power his own. The matter is that only 2 pure people able to use the divine power, Hibiki and Miku. Question is will he take either of them by force? If he take Hibiki, then be prepared for an angry yandere wife who might as well be an angry yandere goddess. If he take Miku, then be prepared for a god level oraoraora to his face courtesy of an angry god-killer husband who might as well be a god herself next season. I dare you to choose one old bastard. I dare you. Also, if the Golden Hibiki is the result of using alchemy. I wonder what if the effect of using alchemy remained in Hibiki and later enable her to use alchemy just like Carol, and Saint Germain do? If so, that would make her more broken, much more versatile. Most wouldn't be able to touch her if that happen. Season 5 please come soon!!! |

| I'm surprised no one has called Golden Hibiki "Kinbiki" yet. XD Overall, I liked this season. The action scenes were amazing, all the new unison pairings worked out pretty nicely, and this last episode was quite a ride to be in. Hibiki getting not one, but two new gears (the rainbow one she gets from the other gears and alchemist golden gear). I can see a Fist of the North Star meme for Kinbiki's unlimited punch works. The birthday scene was quite heartwarming and I had a good laugh at Tsubasa's stacking dished with chopsticks. Like AXZ manages to make me go "WTF?" even outside of the fight scenes. That epilogue though. Hoping to see some great things next season. Why do I have a feeling old man Kazanari will separate Hibiki and Miku considering he wants Japan to keep the god gears all to themselves? |

| Well, damn... And I'm not even talking about the general insanity of this episode, that much was to be expected if if wanted to continue the downward spiral. But the politics and revelations at the end make it very much look like the next season S.O.N.G. will be fighting against Japan and Miku. |

| Adam transforming into his puppet demon mode and hibiki pulls out the win by getting ll the powers of the others and then going gold mode with the alchemist's energy or something. Miku's gear cleansed her and hibiki of the curse, I can see miku being controlled again in season 5. 9/10 |

| Man this season was by far the best of the series yet. That was too damn lit. And we got a Saint Seiya and JoJo reference in the same scene, big ups to Golden Hibiki XD. But looks like Miku will be relevant again next season and I feel like the politics is going to ramp up as well. Also, like the seasons before, we get "Nijiiro no Flugel" as the ED so big ups to that. Can't wait for Season 5 and beyond. Praise the Symphodank. |

| I dissed the X-Drive and this time we got the fucking Hibiki show instead... GODDAMMIT! It's not enough they had to give the idiot another annoying catchphrase but now she even steals the girls individual shining moments. And to think there would be an ending lamer than GX's... this pretty much sums up how I feel right now  The ending scenes redeemed the episode only slightly, with Miku's impending involvement in season 5 and foreshadowing of Gears taking on the gods themselves. Maria flirting with Tsubasa was 10x better than watching Hibiki ora-ora-ora-ing the final boss. I'm going to sulk until the special-eps are released. |

| A symphogear finale without an X-drive? I thought i'd never see the day. Adam was a pretty garbage end villain. The god powers ended up not being important and at least for now only served to fill a couple episodes and give us a setup for that post finale scene. Adam when he was first revealed was cool, but powering him down and having him get knocked around and his arm chopped off, then he pulls a "true form" on them, just didnt feel as good as other final bosses in this series, and this is coming from a massive symphogear fan. It does sound like they want to wrap this up with season 5 though. Adam pretty much says the custodians are on their way, miku will get her time in the limelight again. This season was good, i wouldn't call it the best (except that season 1 opener, whoo boy), but considering this is the first time they've been confirmed for 2 seasons out of the gate, it did an excellent job setting up for a grand finale if you consider season 4 and 5 as one connected story line. Here's hoping they can knock it out of the park and x drive will come back in season 5 to smash the curse of balal and some custodians to pieces. Also aoi yuukis ora oras were great. |
 Kaneko did say that he wanted to "tweak and displace" to balance the elements of the anime. He knew it would break some expectations, but tried his best. Honestly, I am very glad that he didn't use X-Drive for the finale of this season. If X-Drive was implemented, it would feel like "Oh, X-Drive again? And then they win..." I think after three X-Drive finales, it would be nice to have a change of pace, and Kaneko did a great job so as to not to stale the X-Drive hype. Now then... They reused a lot of animations for this episode, but that doesn't really bother me much. What I was disappointed about though is the number of new attacks shown that didn't get names, probably due to time constraints: The Death Ball of Goddess ZABABA: Wight Slayer EX. Tsubasa usually only uses her legs, but now she uses her great sword in this attack too. Kirika's Chain Shuriken. WHY DIDN'T THEY SHOW THIS ONE EARLIER? THIS JUST MADE KIRIKA'S GEAR EVEN MORE BADASS! This better come back in Season 5! And Megadeth Zeppelin: The largest missile that Chris has ever pulled out of her ass. JESUS CHRIST CHRIS! WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN EATING?! Forget the Divine Power. If foreign territories want to mess with Japan, then just have Chris crap a nuke on their asses!  Apparently, Adam is Diablo now. He even moves fast like him. He even pulled off some tricky tactics like ZOMGWTF...PHONE!  Actually, I wouldn't mind having the power to summon a phone out of nowhere XD.  This shot looked awesome. Tsubasa and Shirabe teaming up while Maria shoots her photon Horizon Cannon off-screen. I'm very glad that Elfnein pointed out that Hibiki's gear wasn't cleaned from the aftereffects of the Fool's stone since that was a detail that I was thinking about when Hibiki geared up in episode 12. Having it backfire during the fight was a good way to show that. And when the other gears powered Hibiki up...well when everyone was saying that Symphogear was like Mega Man, Hibiki gets everyone else's power! Imagine if season 5 delved into that ability a little more...Oh boy!  In case you've forgotten, Chris used this in Episode 12 of Symphogear G (IIRC) to escape from being affected by Dr. Ver's Anti-Linker. Although in that scene, Chris stripped herself naked...Blu-Rays!  Probably my favorite scene in this episode. Hibiki without her gear is running straight at the enemy like a hero. She's at a great disadvantage...BUT EVEN SO! Hibiki goes all in one last time and gives Adam the ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA! And when the finishing blow struck, I yelled out: The second half gives us that slice of life scene with all the characters that we've all been wanting to see. Shirabe actually can cook! Girls playing video games?! Tsubasa washing the dishes with style! And: AXZ finally comes to a close. IMHO, this is the best season in the series overall. I love all the seasons for certain reasons: Season 1 for its character development, G for its action choreography, and GX for the music and character designs. AXZ balances the three seasons to make it an overall better experience. We can't forget about the music though! Not including the duets and group songs, the battle songs I favor most in order from least liked to most liked: 6. Makenai Ai ga Koko ni Aru (Hibiki's 1st theme) - IMO this is Hibiki's worst battle song in the series. The instrumental at the beginning was great, but the singing... 5. GUN BULLET XXX (Chris's theme) - Chris's singing is actually really good, but the song itself is just...bland. There's no impact. This is also Chris's worst battle song in the series IMO. 4. Dangerous Sunshine (Kirika's theme) - Love the instrumental, and Kirika's random "DESS!" in the song makes it fun. My only issue with it is that the section between the 1st chorus and 2nd verse as well as the 3rd chorus and outro doesn't feel like it transitions very well... 3. Melodious Moonlight (Shirabe's theme) - RAVE PARTY BABY! This song just sounds so awesome! It was very fitting for Shirabe's transformation too! The singing is great, especially during the chorus. The only downside is that the bridge isn't as great as Dangerous Sunshine's. 2. Stand Up! Ready!! (Maria's theme) - Maria's songs have always been at the top for me. Ressou Gungnir was the very first song I added to my Symphogear playlist, and Ginude Airgetlam is my #1 favorite song in the entire series. Stand Up! Ready!! doesn't fail to deliver, and it gives me the same vibes as Airgetlam. The instrumental is epic by itself, and "Stand Up!" just gives the song even more hype. Yoko Hikasa didn't seem too energetic when performing Ginude Airgetlam at Symphogear Live 2016, but if she lets loots in Live 2018 with Stand Up! Ready!!, she'll have a performance that can rival Yuuki Aoi's "Genkai Toppa G-Beat". 1. Gekka Bitou (Tsubasa's theme) - Easily the best character song in AXZ, hands down. Tsubasa's songs were always above average for me, but they never really made it to the top. But Gekka Bitou sounds so good that it is practically unfair to the other 5 songs because it is sung in Nana's specialty: Enka. The Japanese instruments with the electric guitar gives it a Samurai Warriors vibe, and the singing is just HNNGGG! Battle Enka FTW! They sacrificed the concert scene I guess to balance the budget better. I'm pretty sure that the concert scene will return, possibly to serve as the finale of the series. And so my score: Senki Zesshou Symphogear: 6/10 Senki Zesshou Symphogear G: 8/10 Senki Zesshou Symphogear GX: 7/10 Senki Zesshou Symphogear AXZ: 9/10 (-1 because WAIFU!!!) Will Symphogear season 5 be the season where I finally give the 10/10 rating that the series deserves? We'll have to wait and see. And so, the question that is on everyone's minds right now: And for my speculations: Episode 12 with Divine Hibiki was probably a letdown for many. However, I have a feeling that that was just a teaser for what is to come in season 5. If the custodians and "Anmuraki" look like that, then "Attack on Custodian" here we come! One of the scenes I liked at the end was Hibiki questioning her belief of trying to connect with people and that she is struggling to maintain it. AXZ gave us much needed development for Maria, Kirika, and Shirabe, so they're cleared out now. Chris's issue has been resolved as well. And Hibiki got her consulting from Miku. However, there is one character who didn't get as much development as the others this season: Tsubasa. Given that Daddy Kazanari wants to obtain the Divine Power for himself, I can speculate that Tsubasa will be the central character next season. And if Hibiki is brought into the issue as well, that's going to push her against her beliefs further. Will she be able to help Tsubasa and Daddy Kazanari reconcile with one another, or will she be forced to witness grandfather and daughter tear at each other's throats? The Bavarian Illuminati is done, so the only remaining enemies are the Custodians, America (?) and potentially Daddy Kazanari. The Alca-noise will still be out and about being controlled by the military and such. So who is left to fight the gears? I'm guessing that some foreign enemy is developing an anti-symphogear force to prepare for the incident as we have learned that conventional weapons do not work on the gears. Will it be a military group with Anti-LiNKER guns, or will it be a new group of Symphogears prepared to fight against Hibiki and friends? Or will it be a battle between nations to see who can obtain the Divine Power first with the Symphogears in the middle of it? With that much potential story in the future, it's going to be hard to believe that all of that can fit in 13 episodes. Either a season 6, or a movie to close out the series. Well whatever the case, Kaneko better not get sick in the next two years so that he can do a good job keeping the story consistent. But then....I wonder...will Season 5 start "Slowly" again? But first...OVAS! OVAS! OVAS! Of all the anime that aired this season, this is one of the few (if not the only) anime that did not have a preliminary review. Sausious did complete the anime prior to writing his review. MAL just didn't update the site soon enough to make it not a preliminary review. So whether you liked AXZ or not, I thank all of you for watching to the end before writing a review. |

| Yo this finale ended in classic symphogear fashion but we got golden Ninja Hibki finishing off Adam with a full on ORA season was enjoyable with the insane amount of nonsense jammed in that i wasn't ready to get read much into, and kinda brought hibki into god status while making everyone else feel more or less the same hoping in S5 they don't get so downgraded in power again. most hype scene of them all was the Wife Mkiu teased for the next season, this whole time was wondering why they didn't do anything with her besides being support lol flat 8/10 |

Hibiki was a total badass. And , for the finale.... HibiMiku goes over the stars.... So Hibiki and Miku are free from all evil and sin because Miku's Lesbeam purified them both back on S2. Truly the purest form of love, Yuri wins again. Cannot wait until they give Miku a gear again, so the 7 fight the Custodian/Annunaki on S5. |

| Well, another season of Symphogear, another great ride of cute girls, yuri romance, awesome music, and epic attacks. That is what makes this show worth watching. But I still did not rate this show as high because of how predictable and cliche the plot was, even more than previous seasons. Just made me roll my eyes every episode. This season was special because of two things however: -It was hinted that Miku would obtain powers in the next season -I loved the twists involving geopolitics and history: Connecting Nazi and Imperial Japanese history to alchemy, and the US shooting an ICBM at Japan... would be interesting if the next season involved a war between countries where Symphogear/alchemy users fought each other... that would really shake up Hibiki's morals and make for an interesting watch... It was hinted that the Kazanari patriarch was thinking of obtaining the god powers for Japan... he is definitely going to play a major role next season In conclusion, I still enjoyed this show despite its predictable plot. However, I suspect that this show was just a lead up to a grand fifth season. We received so many foreshadowings of a greater battle to come, so I am excited. |

| another epic season and i especially loved the final battle cause i love those types of super power ups like everyone gives their power to create some new form and then also going super like that was amazing! with that said cant wait for season 5 as it already about to be really good i mean from the end of this it looks like Miku will be able to transform again next season so i am hyped for that great end for another amazing season and am looking forward to season 5 |

| Adam did not disappoint. Hibiki using everyone's gears/attacks. Golden Hibiki. The cooking-song trio at the birthday party. Zwei Wing remix for the credits. That's going back to the beginning. Season 5 will be about Miku. (yay!) 8/10 (very good) as always. Though, this season felt like they knew season 5 was coming... a little held back/ridiculous? I don't watch for the plot anyway. |

Getting a new Armed Gear with everyone'ss powers as well as Alchemists powers to Golden Saint Seiya Armor :O That ORA ORA ORA made up for it. Definitely the best used of it compared to other Anime's using it. WTF, so Miku might actually join the fight this time?! Haven't seen her in the battlefield since G. Man, Adam was such a disappointment. I thought he was going to put up a fight like Fine and Caroline did, but yeah. He's the weakest in the series. So now we're going to see Custodian/Annunaki and probably battle of the Gods in S5?! Holy shit, I'm so fucking glad they announced S4 and S5 at the same time!!! Also, this is probably the only season where no new character joined the cast. Maria, Shirabe and Kirika joined in G, then Elfnein on GX. Was hoping St Germain would join, but alas, she had to sacrifice herself and her team. She even said, she could have joined them, if they met in different circumstances. All I want honestly is everyone to have new gears, new designs. Bring back Maria's black cape from G. I can't believe they just gave her a cheap copy of Gugnir. Just give her original black cape. Or change it to white but keep the cape. She can use lance as well as her whip. I really missed that Symphogear. It's one of the best designs in the whole series. And that ends AXZ. Despite me delaying almost a year. I made up for it by watching it on BD and its Glorious!!! I really can't wait for AXZ!! It seems they were able to bounce back to some of the missteps of GX, but they also took some mistakes by giving Hibiki too much powers honestly. I hope they properly balance it on S5!! After S5, announce a movie and finally let the series end on a high note. S5 and One movie is enough for me!!! I'm sure the IP is still selling well with concerts with Seiyuus as well as BD sales on the top!! I give it a 9/10 just because it has one of the best fight scenes in the series. |

Was hoping St Germain would join, but alas, she had to sacrifice herself and her team. She even said, she could have joined them, if they met in different circumstances. I hope they properly balance it on S5!! P.S. That ending with Miku and Bikky was rather good and foreshawoing from G was worth it since they are only humans to be cleaned of their sins. Now let's see what happens in XV, Thanks god i put that anime on my plan to watch list. Just hope subbbes for it come out faster than the previous season. I give it a 10/10 just because it has one of the best fight scenes in the series. Adamn's desire to be Supreme King Zarc 2.0 was worth the shot. Can't believe it's 5D's ending with Z-On all over. Bikky uses the power of not only Kamen Rider Gaim's Kiwami. but goes full Super Sayian, Hyper Muteki and Yusei Fudo from episode 150 of 5D's and that JoJo REFERNCE WITH THE ORA ORA ORA WAS GOOD Oh Tsubasa you and your Yuya Sakaki tomato fetish. BEST. SEASON.EVER. But even tho i liket GX somewhat better. |

| How can this show get more and more hype on each season, I can't believe it. Loved that little bit, Adam didn't have to do that to give them a good hit, but he did it because he can lol. |

| For one brief, fleeting, beautiful moment, we were in food wars, specifically tsubasa and a tomato. Was I expecting more? Yeah.... but was it decent, better than gx was for me? Pretty much. I’m going to say this is my favourite season so far, but just by a bit; would give it a 6.5. But really it’s just more of the same so I can’t really give it any more praise. Maybe the final season I’ll be happy to give a 7, or maybe even an 8/10 to. But AVX was just a 6. |
