LynxV1 said: This episode seems a bit out of place to me. Diablo seems like a more important character than this introduction. Seemed kinda rushed? Idk. Like how the entire episode Diablo was stated to be this awesome progenitor demon or something, and then there wasn't any further explanation. Seemed like a good build-up, but then at the end of the episode they went "Oh rimuru named him diablo"...like is that it? Are they gonna show us how diablo and rimuru met and etcetera? I didn't read the light novel, and as of episode 23? I think they're ahead of the manga now. At least the translated ones. Its a backstory episode for a character that will be introduced in season 2. They will show the circumstances in which Kuro meets Rimuru. |

The manga hasn't reached this and based on the novel spoilers I've read the novel hasn't explained some of these things either, so I think I can confidently say that this is the only series where the anime spoils the source material :D As for the episode - epic fights, nice soundtrack, cool backstory, sweet info on what has happened and will happen 10/10 and I can't even consider it "extra" since it's an important story |

Ok” get mad and curse, get scared and piss your pants, get confused as to why you were saved by the enemy, hate the fact that you’re weak. At the beginning she praised as being the strongest conqueror of flames or whatever but after that she doesn’t win a single fight. She draws with Kuro and she admits she was weaker. And she loses to the arch demon. Her using up all her magic shouldn’t be a thing because she is one of the strongest but runs out of magic after 5 minutes? So at one point she’s like a god and the next she’s a sitting duck because she’s out of magic? In Konosuba, Megumin gets paralyzed after she’s uses explosion magic. The difference is that that anime is a JOKE. For a plot device like that to be in a more serious anime like Slime is simply retarded. And if Shizu knew, she was low magic, she shouldn’t prioritized escaping rather than fight and die like an idiot. And the part about her being saved, it is cliche because I’ve seen it happen in goblin slayer. The guy is trying to kill something but saves the girl in the process. Hmm now that was one hell of an start to this arc. Still its nice to see Shizu again. So the demon's goal is to retrieve its true body then. That rowdy adventure being possessed by a demon was quite the twist but at the same time provided the perfect opportunity for the guards to show their skills. Compliance or death huh quite the choice. The fight between Shizu and Kuro though sure was impressive. While the skills of both were top tier Kuro's cunning was something else entirely. To think that Kuro's strength was above Shizu's though. To think that this invite was in reality a demon's ploy quite the cunning plan they cooked up.Though too bad they never expected Kuro to show up. Curious to see how this season ends next ep. |

Well done, 8-bit, well done ! Now I really missed Shizue so much :'( As a side-story (and anime original, if I'm not wrong), this is beyond my expectation. I don't know if the team really loves Shizue that they made this extra episode as great as they could. For those that did not there may have been suspicions but nothing sure. 2.So the mask cut off his arm? makes little sense to me sorry 3. Have you considered maybe the door had some anti magic spell on it? generally door to room like this do have those mainly to prevent outsiders detecting the magic signature of the demon 4. She was not saved at the last second. The moment she got damage Kuro stepped in. He was just waiting to see if she can take Orthos down herself. Basically the reasoning was why put effort into it if someone else can do it for me? Also I would not say Kuro saved her rather he saved the plan he had for her. About suffering the consequences in this context it would have had side effects like Orthos becoming way stronger and her power getting lost forever. The part about lising an eye or arm you have seen too many unrealistic movies/anime. While losing an eye might be ok losing an arm means unless you stop the bleeding fast you will die really fast. The movie trope with people surviving arm loss and just shaking it off is bullshit. You have major blood vessels in your arms and legs. If they get cut you will bleed out fast if you don't do something to stop it. And btw One Piece is a crappy anime akin a soap opera.Your expectations are still unrealistic so I would not say you are reasonable. As an unrelated note is interesting that the word Orthos means straight, right, just but is given to a demon. Maybe Orthos was a hero that fought a demon was defeated by it and then the demon took its identity.nightcrawlercyp said: 1. Yes, I did know. How convenient.q1w2e3r4t5 said: So you think that this was predictable by most people? just because she is not Sherlock does not make her dumb. About weak she consumed almost all her power against Kuro. For most creatures in that universe magic has cool down time. About being saved it was no accident Kuro was waiting around her for the arch demon to reveal himself. Not really plot armor or cliche.Shizue is so dumb and weak. anikevin said: Wait... Why did Noir/Kuro/Diablo say he's gonna be summoned by Rimuru? Can he see the future? I didn't get the last part. They're implying time travel hijinks. Remember last episode when the time-traveling spirit showed up to inhabit Chloe? That's definitely future-Chloe, Veldora's reaction to the sight of her suggests she was the hero that sealed him in the past, so good money is that future-Rimuru and future-Chloe did some time traveling and Noir is either a demon from the past that became future-Rimuru's servant or he has a younger self in the present who will be named "Diablo", travels back in time with future-Rimuru and future-Chloe, and stays behind to wait for Rimuru's reincarnation. |

The way the archdemon grabbed her sword and punched her shows how weak she is. Running out of magic is not an excuse for bad swordsmanship and lack of ability to dodge. Even with a little bit more fire power, it seriously wouldn’t have made a difference. 3. I did think that could have been the case but since the Shizue didn’t mention it in her thoughts, it’s safe to assume it’s just an ordinary door. The story doesn’t give enough context. Damn I did not enjoy this episode at all. I was bored from minute one to the end which is sad coming from a show I've really liked. But not once during this episode did I care for what was happening. (spoiler alert Shizue is dead sadly who cares for what happened in the past) I normally dislike episodes like this, oh well final episode next week, gotta say I'm looking forward the end it's been a fun journey but I'm ready for this to end. |

maybe they're going to "rush" season 2's story based on LN too? which means it doesn't matter much if they spoiler it, since they probably will just rush/ skip over the event and have him "quick summon" and just continue the main story without going into details. |
