THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well damn, citizens of the city falling prey under the effects of that... That's hard to watch. Hatsume is back! Knew she wouldn't go down so easily in the first place. Episode felt slightly rushed but I'm really glad that Tsukikage managed to turn everything around in the end. Mei's role in this episode proved effective in the end to help the good girls again. Also really liked Momo and Yuki's bond even in this episode. Pretty fun show overall. Wish they made some of the antagonists more appealing but still quite entertaining. |

And so the last finale is finally here. To brainwash a city huh. Katrina and Byakko sure made a timely comeback to the action. So glad that Mei's betrayal was also part of Katrina's plan. The dual between Momo and Tendo was pretty impressive in the tactics that both used. Glad that Momo was able to make it in time. Its good that Theresia survived her injuries. Hmm Yuki's request sure was an unusual but also cruel one as well. Its good that Momo was able to express her true feelings and thanks before obeying the order. An excellent last episode that did well in not just wrapping up the plot but also showing the aftermath as well. The aftermath scenes sure were amusing. The last scene sure was funny though as Momo as now the mentor. |

Predictable outcome, but overall above expectations. The second to last scene sort of felt out of place and really only served to give a flimsy segue to the final scene. I can't say we had enough character development for Yuki to really determine why she decided to go that route, but the flip side is that the series gave us enough information to take a guess. I have to give this series a ridiculous amount of credit for really sticking to the story given the fact that most series with a bunch of young girls tends to get sidetracked a lot and the plot comes second. The series set out to tell a story, and regardless of the quality of that story it stuck to it all the way and took very few detours. I have a lot of respect for this series based on that alone. I'd like to think this story ended nicely. I do not want to see another season and I don't much care to see Momo as a mentor. I may forget this series in a years time, but in the moment I am coming out satisfied. |

bs ending. The traitor storyline was wasted potential. It a good idea but the ending ruined it. It have severe pacing issues that wouldn't be so bad if the show hadn't been so biased towards the girls. But everything was resolved in a very easy way. At least the opening is better than the anime. Spa pa pa parapa 🎶 Spapapapaparapa Spa pa pa parapa 🎶 3/10 for the anime. |

Did anyone else get the feeling that Yuki never lost her memories? At the end she seemed to be smiling because Momo got her own apprentice now. Perhaps it was all a ploy to help Momo take the next step. This was a good show, I hope there will be a second season. |

Mindless entertainment?Check Cute show that actually has heart?Check Sassy soundtrack?Check An enjoyable show that has a lot of missed opportunities, especially with his main plot, and that didn't really characterize well most of the main characters, aside from Momo,Yuki and Mei I am surprised and , at the same time, let down by this show Want to know something weird?I'd still rewatch it some day, it is really entertaining and crazy sometimes Well, i need some Spyce Now, where did i put it... |

Yeah, we all called it right with Mei being a double agent. Katrina was very classy rocking those double revolvers :D. So in the end Byakko and Theresia seemed to join permanently (and they even dezombified the muscular lady from the first few episodes). Momo also got a very promising apprentice. Glad I stuck with this from the start, it was pretty enjoyable overall, underrated even. Everything was concluded but if they were to make another season with a new stoty I wouldn't mind it. tokidoki921 said: Did anyone else get the feeling that Yuki never lost her memories? Yeah, otherwise her smile would be way out of place there. She will probably support from the shadows with not even her previous team mates knowing about it. Pulled a classic spy on everyone lol. |

Called it. They all survived and had all planned out. And everything played out as expected. A quite hyper final fight as well, but it was over so quick. Yet, memory wipes? Again? The one thing that never works in fiction and is only used for a temporary shock, which they even implied didn't work like 5 minutes later. And the heartfelt ending, did feel a bit rushed and unnecessary. Also, the "nine month later" thing, was a pretty cheap metaphor that didn't really with the tone of the show as well. But I want that pistol app for my smartphone; does anyone know when it comes out? But still a good show, tho. I am not entirely hoping for a second season, because it would probably play out the same way, but at least some OVA's. Like, I think we didn't have a beach episode yet... |

This episode left me with a far better impression of the show overall, thank goodness. I actually felt really bad for Momo, in the end, her decision regarding her senpai was for the best, as she has now fully matured and is able to become a master herself. Kinda wished there’s a s2 to continue Momo’s story of being a master, tbh. |

Of course Mei had to be good, she's best girl after all and that bunny suit....uffffff. Shame on you who doubted her and shame on you who doubted the poor Katrina since the beginning of the series! (although I also believed that if someone would be the traitor it would be her xD). Anyway, this episode was a roller coaster of emotions for me. Everything was going well with Mei's revelation and the success of the mission, then everything fell apart with Yuki's leaving and memory erasure, I was sad and frustrated that everything would end that way. Then Yuki's smile gave me hope and desire for a second season to know more about her, dammit, I want to see her with Momo again! And in the end I was very happy to see Momo and Goe with their new apprentices <3 So, fun show.......Fuu x Mei was strong until the end, which I loved! |

Beat all the action flicks by 0.3 seconds!! If anyone didn't clue in, this anime was 100% meant to emulate 80's/90's action flicks. Sounded like Momo shot the dirt. Yuki smiling at the end kinda confirmed that for me lol. She probably tricked everyone else to break the rules and get away with it. |

Ha! I knew it! There was no traitor after all! I guessed right! While I'm sure some people will be disappointed will the traitor storyline, I'm certainly not because half the time that kind of storyline isn't executed very well and it usually ends up being really underwhelming no matter how good they try to write it. I was surprised that it was Katrina who came up with the idea of Mei being a double agent. I was convinced that it was the masters who came up with the plan or at the very least it was Mei. The scene with Momo and Yuki was heart wrenching but it was inevitable given what was happening to Yukiin previous episodes. Overall, a nice action anime and one I thoroughly enjoyed! |

Some real courage from Momo fighting the big boss 1 vs 1. Tendo get the death of James bond villains falling from a high place, or is she really dead? Yuki pass the duty to Momo, and Momo now has an apprentice of her own. Even if Mouryo comes back, Tsukikage will keep protect the city. 7/10 enjoyable show |

Ending was not bad but a bit of a disappointment with the double agent shit. Overall, the soundtrack was great and Yuki & Mei were alright. But ultimately, a really forgettable show for me that didn't offer anywhere near the excitement that Princess Principal did with its storylines and characters. I'd give Release the Spyce an honest 5/10. |

So Mei was a double agent, she sure fooled me and sure fooled her apprentice. That sure took lots of work from her part and required a lot of preparation. As for Hatsume, I kinda knew she was alive judging by how easily she died. I wonder if That's really the end of Tendo? She sure got defeated easily by Momo... That was a very emotional goodbye by MoMo and her mentor Yuki (reminded me of the men in black scene between K and J) , I'm really really really really disappointed that Yuki left the agency. I really loved that girl and I hate the creator for not giving her the shine she deserves throughout this episode. But I'm glad Mono has an apprentice in Magoichi. GOOD MY LOVE, YUKI 8/10, but without her I doubt season 2 is my 1st priority. |

After all, Release The Spyce is still a 'cute girls do cute thing' show from the beginning. So what do you guys expect from the double agent ? Mei's a good girl, so I don't want she to have an ending like a villain. The set up she did about Fake Hatsume body is quite good, too. And do not compare it with Princess Principal, please :-) |

I don't get why people are pissed off with the double agent plot twist. Was it predictable? Yeah, more or less. I mean, this is a show about spies. In the real spy world there are double agents. But is it really a bs plot driver? Maybe, if you hate happy endings where everyone end up together. I give the series an 8/10, I did love it. It was a fun to watch show, nothing to be taken seriously if you think about this show as something that never aimed for seriousness at all but wanted to deliver something you could watch for fun. Remember, it is all about cute girls doing cute things...in a dangerous environment and circumstances this time. |

It's pretty obvious since the previous episode that Mei is a double agent but it's too typical for a spy show already, and for a spy series I wanted a full blown betrayal and a much darker story but this one's pretty tame but regardless of that still a pretty good watch Also, did Hanzo not lost her memory? she smiled walking past Momo and her apprentice, I think Momo adjusted the memory shot, thus Hanzo is officially retired choosing memory erasure but unofficially still got her memories which mean they get a support outside the system, this could become in handy in time People are comparing this to Princess Principal and yeah I kinda understand them, it's hard not to compare it, but Princess Principal is better, it's dark, and that's how all spy series should be, but in terms of depth and potential, the spyce beats Princess Principal's supernatural BS and real Charlotte is hax and her ball of hax If only this show has the guts to be dark 7/10 |

@Mashin_Chaser This is not a CGDCT show... it's a fun homage to action cartoons and pre-2000 action films. It's like an anime Charlie's Angels. It's meant to be cheesy and campy and simplistic, but it is not the same shows that are cute for the sake of cute. You can't call things CGDCT just because it has predominantly cute female cast and not serious enough plot. (I'm not not criticizing cgdct, cuz i like them, it's just not what this is) |

So Mei was a double agent as expected in the end! I am really glad everyone was fine after all. Action was once again really good. The drug sure seemed worse than the one they used before, where Goe fell victim to it. Everyone turned almost purple, scary stuff! Yuki putting Momo in the position to wipe Yuki's memories, that's tough.. after all the time they worked together...That was a really emotional scene! I honestly can't decide to give it a 8 or 9 out of 10. I really liked it a lot, really loved the action scenes but yet was a bit predictable. GenesisAria said: Sounded like Momo shot the dirt. The 'erase my memory' drama at the end is so forced and unnecessary. The only justification is that if Hanzo wants to erase her memory of losing her mentor because it's too painful for her, implied with that scene where the 'ghost' of her mentor appears. Now that's heart-wrenching. But if Hanzo were actually still had her memory at the end, it'd be a bad scenario actually since it will nullify the depth, and we get nothing but the now-cliche "a spy gotta trick". the grandma is actually Tsukikage member is also very random. wtf. at this rate, i think almost everyone might actually be involved with Tsukikage in the past. that policewoman, and also that long-haired woman too. lol. Also, anyone noticed that momo's apprentice has clunky animation just before they meet Hanzo? she walks like a rusty robot. lmao. that's so hilarious. |

This anime is a real masterpiece and paid homage to a few classics. like the timer stopping at 007 is so obvious ;) Also the plot with Tondo, although not explicit mentioned but she seemed to know about the "spyce" technology, which hints that she might be a former tsukikage member who turned to the dark side. Then again, with the tsukikage system where "there can only be two, master and apprentice, at any given time", I guess this series is also paying homage to star wars :p |

What a mess this episode was. That's way too many things they tried to cram in twenty minutes with the result of them all losing any impact. - The shocking twist that totally noone could see from a mile away, yet still managed to come out of the blue since they had no time to write it out properly. - Bland and underwhelming final fight - Forced and clueless Hanzoumon melodrama (it's the final episode guys, we, uh, really need some!) - That epilogue. I get what they were going for, but they had neither the time to bring it out, nor the skills to do more than box-ticking with the time they had. |
