I'm a guy (..Though I have been called a girl about 2 times by 8 year olds. Long hair, Go figures, don't really care) and this show is probably my favorite this season. It is basically a more realistic version of Spirit Away in some sense.

i can't find any "shoujo-parts" in this anime, just "slice of life" parts.

Plus I think it is rated for Seinen because I don't think 13 year old children have the maturity to understand this type of anime.

This anime does have a relaxing feel to it and it goes at a nice pace, (except for the current EP6. I thought that EP went sort of fast. Like Hoshizora e Hashi Fast)

While Action and Ecchi anime fit more for a late night viewing (imo). This type of anime is for like some sort of Calm Afternoon or something.

Straight male here, just finished watching the last episode. Loved this serie. Too bad it ended... all these weeks with Ohana&c. have been great.
I feel kinda sad.

I think I'll try watching Honey&Clover next.. and season 2 of working is coming soon, even if it's really different from Hanasaku Iroha.

This Anime is very well executed.

Because this show was marketed towards females in general. In particular, housewives that watch early evening dramas.

It is akin to asking if any girl is watching "Generic hentai or ecchi series". Those series are marketed towards men.

No, you are the only guy that watches this show.

Obviously you must have issues, as obviously gender dictates our behaviour, what we enjoy and most importantly what anime we like. Violating this rule indicates you are obviously somehow confused about your gender or have some kind of disturbing feminisation fetish.

Unless you're trying to tell me that we don't live in the 50s anymore and that times have changed?
