I can't imagine watching this series over the course of 8+ years. It was enjoyable to sit down and marathon but a lot of the events felt unnecessary to the whole plot. I quite enjoyed it tho. I've seen clips of it many times and I never really thought it was for me but I was wrong which was nice. I wish we couldve see more of Meme instead of him being in Antarctica the entire series. Like wtf was up with that? Was he trapped there by Ougi or was he just dicking around? |

I don't have the length of viewer experience that a lot of the community has with Monogatari. I did not spend the last 8 years of my life watching the series or knowing the entire story inside and out and what not. For me, I just randomly decided to watch it after being in the dark about it from so many of people I know who have watched it as well as innate curiosity. The past two months that I have dedicated to watching the entire series from start to finish is going into my top 5 greatest anime experiences in history. I thoroughly enjoyed this story so much. My sleep schedule may be fucked up as a result of the constant marathoning but every night spent on watching this awesome franchise was worth it. Nisio and SHAFT, I raise this cup to you guys. Thanks for the awesome experience. |

I know this is NOT the “end” of Monogatari...but in a way it was. It was the end of Koyomi and Hitagi’s high school life and one hell of a ride that began in 2009 with Bakemonogatari. Through and through this series has truly lived up to its hype and is IMO the greatest anime series of all time. It mixes so many elements in such a great way...Romance, Action, Comedy, Ecchi, and Drama. What other series has been able to effectively do this season after season? Monogatari is worthy of the anime GOAT status...easily! 10/10 for Owarimonogatari S2. |

The riddles were amazing in this one and everything has been tied up together with happy endings for everyone (almost everyone I would say). This really was so well done. I really enjoyed all three arcs! And it is definitely the best Monogatari installment since Monogatari SS. I was going to give it a 9/10 because I felt like Mayoi Hell and Hitagi Rendezvous were much needed extensions of the Monogatari series but then came Ougi Dark. It practically blew everything out of the park like six runs were required in the last ball from a cricket match and it was met! 6/5 Nine years after I fell in love with Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari, my love never died for this series. It is but the end of one of many stories of Araragi Koyomi so I hope to see Zoku one day when it is released! |

Just finished watching the Monogatari series with this one. Looks like after watching, I've doubled my reading words per minute 'cause of how fast the monologues roll. I just wish Hitagi, Kanbaru and the others were able to see Shinobu's complete form, you know, to see the real 'fruits' of the 500-yr-old youth. 10/10 would wait for Koyomi Reverse. |

I applaud it for making sense. Every hint and foretelling and puzzle piece has come together in a very well woven mystery story. Other than that, boooo. Quite frankly the last arc is disappointment. First, too much exposition, as usual. Second, getting philosophical at the showdown btw Araragi and Ougi. Urghhhh, that sequence is boring as hell. All right I know the theme is doing the right thing vs correcting mistakes, saving yourself vs saving others and risking yrself..... blah blah. It's so boring and doesn't feel quite right when both parties detail and split hair and engage in obnoxiously lengthy conversations. The biggest problem, for me, is doubling Araragi. Like Shirou fighting "himself" in FSN. That plot twist always annoys me. So in the end, the "correcting mistakes" half of Araragi is personified into a girl. And somehow Araragi becomes the happiest harem lead ever, every damn girl is alive. Wow, he succeeds in life. This coming of age sounds really phony to me. I love Araragi, but whenever he expresses his way of life, his emotional savior speeches, or gets philosophical, it's always long-winded and corny. As to his growth, the only time I buy it is when he fought Black Hanekawa in Bake, when he acknowledged that he should value his life and rely on the help of his friends, that case being Shinobu. From then on, each "growth" arc of his is really boring, mostly because he doesn't need growth, he's a f@cking decent great guy from the start. Ohhh I forgot, one more, when he acknowledged his inability to "save" Sengoku, and that Kaiki is better for her. That. But not this. What is this? Embracing "yourself"? Being a white angel to convert the black angel inside yourself to turn to rightness? and that dark half don't have the privilege of finding peace and going to heaven, but actually brought back to life to experience life for herself????? I don't get it, someone pls explain it to me! |

So in the end Koyomi even had to save himself, he just couldn't do anything else. It was a nice ending and good to see them all again in the last episode. Still not as good as Bake and Nise though which were my favourites. 8/10 |

Considering how certain components of Hell and Rendezvous were only truly explained in Dark, I'm just gonna put my thoughts on all of them in the discussion topic for the final episode. Wall of text warning: -terminal terminal is actually not too bad -i can't believe hachikuji died a second time -i've uh, kinda missed this skit actually -hachikuji confirmed in-universe idol -alright this turned super fuckin trippy -alright maybe i should have watched kizu before jumping into this but like i have no reall interest in it -man why does this have to go through the events of bake when that was easily the worst monogatari -somehow i feel like most of what araragi was saying to hachikuji went over my head -never mind, the teori scene kinda gives more context to everything -i kinda don't want a tsuki revisit, either, because it was like my second least favorite monogatari -i definitely zoned out on that explanation but i'll just accept that mindgames were had -literally the only interesting thing about the entire teori scene was the bit about the name of the park -alright hachikuji singlehandedly saving this shitfest -and araragi coming to exactly the wrong conclusion -i can't believe hachikuji is dead again This part of Owari S2 was easily my least favorite out of the three, first and foremost, because Shinobu Time was one of my favorite stories in the series. Of course, one main element of Shinobu Time that I liked was that it killed off the series' main comedic relief protagonist permanently. Mayoi's return to the afterlife in Shinobu Time was completely justifiable in universe, and while I was hesitant at first to see her brought back at the end of Koyomimonogatari, the very beginning of Mayoi Hell kinda justified it with the explanation that she was sent specifically to retrieve Koyomi to be resurrected. One extremely boring recap escort mission and plot dump later, she finally gets Koyomi to where he needs to go, and I think to myself, well this is kind of a fitting conclusion to Mayoi's individual story. That is, until Koyomi drags her kicking and screaming back into the world of the living and sends any sense of closure that built up back into the pits of hell where they started from. Sure, the later parts of Owari S2 attempt to justify this by making Mayoi an instrumental piece in Izuko's efforts to restore the status quo, but I sincerely believe that the entire climax of Ougi Dark would have been more impactful if Mayoi's parting words of encouragement were the last words he ever heard from her in the main story. Especially because Mayoi's last words to him in Hell encouraged him to save himself over others, for a change. I'm just really not a fan of how Mayoi got handled. Some secondary aspects of Mayoi Hell that I just didn't like were the entire summary segment before Koyomi reached Teori, and the actual talk with Teori itself. As someone who finished up Koyomimonogatari like 2 hours before starting Owari S2, the entire journey up to the extraction point just felt like an unnecessary rehash in terms of scope and execution. I have never been a fan of straight up recap episodes, and that was basically what the execution of the journey through Hell ended up being. Also, I am pretty sure the theme of Koyomi not regretting his decisions was already done in a much better way in Mayoi Jiangshi, although it’s been a couple years since I watched that. Put these two things together and you’ve already got me writing off the arc as quite literally the worst in the series. The Teori segment was kind of less egregiously offensive but I just didn’t like it because it was kinda too ramble-y and exposition-y. It just wasn’t as entertaining or interesting as some of the other dialogue that are hallmarks of the Monogatari series, and it felt way too verbose. And, given the segment of the arc that preceded it, I was already ready to write this arc off as the absolute worst in the series. And then the ending happened and cemented its place at the bottom. -hopefully rendezvous won't be as much of a disaster as hell -what am i saying, senjougahara is easily my least favorite monogatari girl and the only reason i liked hitagi end was because it was kaiki vs. megayandere nadeko -alright seems like we have another contender for my least favorite monogatari season -that is, unless dark somehow blows everything out of the water -alright these subs also went straight down the shitter so all my hype for rendezvous is gone -ughhhh why'd this have to be bake and tsuki season 2 -i'm really not feeling this actually -oh -this driver license thing is actually pleasantly surprising given the events of hanamonogatari -wait i forgot what happened to hanekawa -dis izu a pen -when the fuck did hanekawa go on a world tour, excuse me -i uh, don't think ougi's story is 100% canon -alright at least ougi's interminable space babble converged into some actual parallelism with the oddity specialists -and then she had to ruin it with that abstract psychobabble at the end -it's been a pretty long while since i've watched a proper monogatari so i've basically forgotten if the other arcs were as filled with empty talk as this one is -wow we didn't even hear hitagi sing staple stable what a ripoff -wow we didn't even hear araragi sing chocolate insomnia what a ripoff -araragi got busted -wait -the arc names were their first names? -my entire fucking existence is a lie -the ED for this arc isn't too bad actually -now it's time for the entire reason i rushed through koyomi and sat through the first 2 arcs of this goddamn season So, after thinking about it, Hitagi Rendezvous actually stepped up in something compared to the other two Owari S2 arcs, and that something was the ED sequence. Maybe it’s because I’m personally someone who associates memories of all the arcs with the appropriate ED, but I happened to think that the ED of Rendezvous was just about the best way to do sort of a summary of the entire main story. Bonus points for it being the first thing after Koyomi and Hitagi start calling each other by their first names, bringing everything toward a sense of closure. Speaking of which, I liked the principle of Rendezvous in that it brings some progress in Koyomi’s and Hitagi’s whole relationship thing which was largely absent in but I very much wasn’t too impressed by the content of it. I have Hitagi ranked literally at the bottom in terms of main girls, so this arc was already fighting a losing battle. The only anime arc named after Hitagi that I liked was End, but that was mostly because of best boy Kaiki and best main girl batshit-insane-Godeko. It just seemed the dialogue in Rendezvous was pretty empty most of the time if you’re not a hardcore Gahara fan. And the few times the dialogue wasn’t empty, it was just a giant exposition dump rather than the sharp and fast-paced banter that usually occurs. Furthermore, pretty much none of the dialogue was even memorable aside from planetarium Ougi drawing parallels between constellations and the events of the show itself. Looking back, Owari S2 was probably solidified as the worst Monogatari by the time I was finished with Rendezvous. Pretty much the only reason I continued watching at this point is because the Ougi Dark preview at the end of Rendezvous seemed super interesting. -there it is, my second favorite OP in the entire franchise -koyomi got fuckin yamcha'd -wait just a goddamn moment did isin actually spend this entire series setting up a kamimashita gag -short hair nadeko's pretty cute -i should probably say that the nadeko-tsukihi conversation is the first thing about this arc that i've actually liked -i was wondering when the tsukihi phoenix thing would get brought back up again, because its resolution in nise didn't really resolve anything -also this ougi-tsukihi conversation is also pretty interesting, which makes me wonder why the dialogue in dark 1 was so dull and drawn-out -as someone whose favorite monogatari characters were numachi and sodachi, this whole big reveal dialogue is doing nothing for me -and maybe medusa nadeko -oh so koyomi didn't even figure it out on his own huh -i dunno i can't remember a single instance where ougi harmed someone -once again i can not recall a single instance of ougi making araragi suffer -alright i kinda get the thematic importance of this, but i don't happen to think it was executed too well -koyomi likes his girls 6 months old huh -meme dude's back -i actually don't mind the blatant nise references because i happened to like that set of arcs -wait she what -actually i don't think i hated post-family tsubasa as much as i thought i did because i happened to enjoy the pre-ceremony walk Alright, so, I have to give props to Ougi Dark’s OP for challenging Karen Bee’s OP for my favorite TV-size OP in the series, and challenging Marshmallow Justice, Yuudachi Houteishiki, last day of my adolescence, and a few other ones I’m sure to have forgotten for the best full-size OP of the series. I had very much been putting off Koyomi, Owari S2, and Kizu once I got done with Owari S1, primarily because Shinobu Mail was a dreadfully substandard follow-up to Sodachi Riddle and Lost, which I think are the two best Monogatari arcs. dark cherry mystery (TV Size) just went and flushed any lingering bad taste from Mail right out of my metaphorical anime-watching mouth and got me pumped up to watch the series again to see if the actual arc would be just as visually cool as its opening. Like, all the stuff with the lights and mirrors in the TV size dark cherry mystery, combined with the pretty catchy song that accompanied it just made it seem like such an interesting arc. The little preview of Ougi Dark in Rendezvous was also super interesting, since it seemed to suggest that light and shadow would be a prevailing theme in the Dark arc, which also got me primed to actually watch it. All of this combined with the season’s super high rating on MAL just made me super hyped for what was about to come hopelessly misguided and set up for extreme disappointment. First things first, absolutely nothing notable happened in the first part of Ougi Dark except for maybe the idea of the fact that everything that has happened in the Monogatari season happened for the sole reason of setting up a kami mashita gag. Once again, as was the case with a bunch of other dialogue in specifically this season, the dialogue was way too fucking rambley and way too much of an exposition dump. The ultimate antagonist of the entire series ended up being Owari S2 Izuko who throws the dialogue from the previous entries straight out of the window and instead lectures us for around 15 minutes. At this point I was wondering if it was just me misremembering being entertained by the dialogue of the Monogatari series, but after a quick rewatch of Nise and some of Second Season, I can safely say that my memory was correct and that the dialogue in Dark 1 was nowhere near the level of the Monogatari arcs I actually liked. There is absolutely no conceivable reason that Dark 1 should have been that boring and drawn-out. Dark 2, however, was probably the only redeeming factor, the only guiding light, in the entirety of Owari S2. There were two things it did that were actually reminiscent of the not-terrible earlier stories in the series, and those were the scenes between Tsukihi and Nadeko, and Tsukihi and Ougi. First off, I think short-hair Nadeko is actually the one haircut that made the most sense within the series. I’m really fuzzy on my memory of Nadeko Medusa and Hitagi End since it’s been like a couple years, but from what I remember, the entire reason she split from the snake god was in order to pursue her secular dream of becoming a mangaka, and since the primary feature that distinguished Godeko with Nadeko was the snake hair, I think it’s more than appropriate she appeared with short hair within Dark 2. I think the reason the character design stood out to me so much was because it made me remember the events of Nadeko Medusa and Hitagi End despite not having anything to do with those two arcs for at least 2 years. Nadeko’s appearance alone was way more effective of a summary tool than whatever they did in Mayoi Hell. Nadeko’s new character design was not the only thing I liked about the scene between her and Tsukihi, though. For the first time in Ougi Dark, and quite possibly the first time in the entirety of Owari S2, the dialogue is actually something more than a mindless plot dump or endless exposition. In particular, Tsukihi’s dialogue was actually what I found more memorable because of all the events of Tsukihi Phoenix really haven’t been touched beyond what was shown in Nise. Thus, the callbacks to Nise actually do have some basis in terms of story importance, unlike some of the callbacks to Bake and Tsuki that happened earlier in Owari S2. Pretty much everything about the Tsukihi-Nadeko scene was pretty heartwarming considering the stuff that has happened to those two, especially Nadeko, in the past. The dialogue was also a pretty clear continuation of where their respective arcs had been left off, which was particularly nice in Tsukihi’s case since the whole imposter thing was either never brought up again or rarely brought up again since the Phoenix arc. Also, I just happened to personally resonate with the stuff Tsukihi said about not having any true goals of her own and instead gravitating towards people who do, and using Nadeko as kinda like a means to guide herself through life. So it’s kinda been super long since I actually watched the show and I kinda forgot why the conversation on the bike stood out at me, but it was probably the stuff about Tsukihi’s status as an apparition, or Ougi’s and Tsukihi’s different takes on where the thrill of a mystery novel comes from. Like, the dialogue between those two actually felt like it had a purpose and was actually something non-obvious, unlike the vast majority of conversations in Owari S2. Those two things are probably the things I liked the most in Owari S2, and the third part of Ougi Dark went back to being whatever. I liked the principle of Koyomi saving intercepting Ougi from the darkness, but like with Meme making that entrance, it kinda shifted accountability from Koyomi to Meme. I will say that the whole focus on Tsukihi during Dark 2 made sense with how the whole Ougi thing ended up being resolved. The rest of Dark 3 wasn’t too notable other than Tsubasa calling out Koyomi and Hitagi for referring to each other by their first names, and maybe the end card because it was kinda like setup for Hanamonogatari, which was an arc that I thought was pretty good. TL;DR: mild indifference to heavy disappointment at almost all times except for ougi dark 2 |

fantastic "conclusion" the best thing about monogatari though is that it will never be over. Cant araragi finally break up with hitagi after/in college? Araragi and Shinobu/Kiss Shot literally tied their lifes together out of free will and not as a last resort. Also Hanekawa rocks. I hope we will see more stories about the fire sisters in the future, because for me they are one of the best parts of monogatari. PS: I dropped monogatari second season 3 years ago because I did not want the story to end (and because someone spoiled me that hachikuji will cease to exist which I did not want to witness, it has been a series with both ups and downs, especially the final season was not quite what I expected from monogatari, but it was amazing anyway) |

WHAT AN ENDING!!!! A Conclusion to Many things. An Intriguing Story. -Meme Was In Antarctica The whole time Lol. Must have no Money to fly back, Or Signal to contact. -Hanekawa made it in time was Ok... I thought Araragi was able to Settle this on his own. -Ougi Being accepted As A Niece Puts her a place She can belong to. Despite her Terrible Deeds -Shinobu Would Stay Being Link to Araragi Despite Being free. -They Keep Talking about ther need for a god for The Shrine So long that I thought it was a Side story but they did also reach a conclusion for that. -I say it is a Satisfying Ending. Personally I don't read into things much, Which is why I'm really Boring as a person. Monogatari does teach me to Speak what's Really Matter And What's A dumb Question. 8/10 Only Shaft can make it not boring. |

I have to say that despite the praise this is getting I found the first 3 episodes to be incredibly boring, excessive talking about nothing to stretch the runtime is all it felt to me. Once it got to 4 and Koyomi and Hitagi had their date things got much better. It really feels like a 4/10 for those first three eps and an 8/10 for the rest so I give the whole thing a 7. I do wish though that Shinobu would at least restrict herself as a teenager instead of a little girl but I guess have to submit to the perversions of her master heh. |

It all makes so much sense hearing it from Gaen, all the stuff Araragi's had to deal with, every person he's helped ... etc Didnt expect him to save Ougi like that but in a way I actually did expect him to do exactly that! He had to save himself, even that was the right decision and now we get to have Ougi live out her life as Oshino's niece after all - Also that scene with Oshino acknowledging Ougi was really good! This entire season wrapped up a lot of things in a beautiful way, really makes me want to rewatch the entire franchise at one point or another. Especially since I don't remember a lot of things from the seasons after Bakemonogatari and Mono 2nd Season. I appreciate the whole Monogatari franchise in a whole new way after seeing Kizumonogatari and this season though, they really did a fantastic job at telling us a really intriguing and complex story. 10/10 Now only Zoku Owarimonogatari to finish the franchise and have everything linked up. |

Well, at first my theory on Ougi's identity was "Darkness," after it was stated that it's not, my guess shifted to Ougi being a subconscious creation of Araragi. I guess I was correct on this one. There's a lot to cover, and I don't really feel like writing a lot...So, I'll say that it was a really good season - and take my leave. |

Well Araragi for a moment can't let go of his 'adolescense' by trying to save Ougi. That's the sign of his still an adolescence that he wanted to save everyone recklessly, he wanted all to have a happy ending. As I expected Meme come at the last moment to save the day just like in Kizumonogatari. And his earring color changed. They skipped the graduation ceremony. Zzz Lol so they allowed Araragi and Shinobu to be together again. That means theyre effort to turn Araragi to human is pointless. |

JackyOhayo said: You guys might want to rewatch Hitagi Crab. Because I did that with the whole series prior to Owari S2 and the Bake throwbacks gave me chills. Here are some examples. Apparently it's from episode 6 but whatever. Wow! That is amazing. Props to Shaft. Very satisfying "ending". It amazingly pulls a happy ending for everything anyone might have liked this series for. I seriously can't find a bad thing in this 7 episodes to score it lower than the maximum score. Maybe that Mayoi Hell and specially Hitagi Rendevous had little substance, serving only as a setup for Ougi Dark, but even then, can you really blame a late Monogatari series for its infinite inconsequential conversations? That is what you signed up for, better enjoy it, and I surely enjoyed the return of Mayoi-kamisama and the date with Hitagi. So 10/10 all around. Now to Zoku. |

Just like Yotsugi said when Koyomi lifted her dress in Tsukimonogatari... "wow" Ougi Dark arc concluded Araragi's story in such a beautiful way. There were memorable moments like Shinobu and Araragi's feeling each other, Oshino coming back after a long time, and Ougi acting different after Koyomi saved her. Also my favorite Monogatari girl is now a god. Woohoo!(that's better than being sucked by the void or staying in hell for sure) |

I honestly was expecting a bit more. Specially since this one is rated this high. I can definitely see why it is tho. The direction and feeling of conclusion were amazing, the soundtrack was top level, and Ougi revelation was great, but still, for me it was probably one of the most convoluted seasons of Monogatari series. I'm still left with the feeling that Ougi arc could have been better explained overall. With that being said, this definitely doesn't deserve any less then the other seasons. 8/10 But then again, it's actually sad I didn't give a single 9/10 for any Monogatari entry. It definitely had potential to reach that level, and sometimes it managed to deserve that, but a few mistakes made me drop the score |

It's impressive just how good that last episode was. I was going in to this episode thinking "Isn't this season a bit overrated?" and came out thinking "Oh, that makes sense." From the reintroduction of many memorable characters (OSHINO-DADDY IS FINALLY BACK) to great character moments that are some of the highlights of the entire series (see: Hitagi Rendezvous) , there is tons to love here and very little to hate. A case study of what makes Monogatari so fun to watch. 9/10. Story: 9/10 Art: 9/10 Sound: 9/10 Characters: 10/10 Enjoyment: 9/10 Raw score: 9.2/10 Final score: 9/10 To see how I believe this show stacks up against other anime I have seen, click here. |

Wow. That was a fun joyride. Considering that I started to watch this series years ago... probably like 5 or more years ago and not actually watching it continuously made me regret it. BUT! I'm going to rewatch everything again in both release AND Chronological order. So back to the review, it's really good! There are lots of people who are bored on this anime because of how monologue focused the anime is but, all I can say is that, that's what made this anime what it is. This anime made a rather place inside my heart to always love and remember it as one of the anime the made me realize what I'm currently doing with my life now that I'm also starting to go to college. I can say that this anime changed me big time. Now, for the current episode, It was 10/10 for me. Fantastic, Incredible, Subarashii. To be honest, I can't even describe it as a word. The reason for this is because of how "perfect" the execution is made with every arc of this season. Not just the season but also the scenes and everything that's happening on screen. Sounds, atmosphere, etc. Perfect. It even made me feel something for "Ougi Oshino" at the end where I was mostly confused and troubled by her existence in the series but, now it has been given light as to who she/he is. Other than that, I can gladly accept this as the end of the series but... Let's be honest here... Do you want the series to end? Heh. I know, I don't. I still want to see Hitagi, for who she is. I still want to see Hanekawa for her incredible intuition. I still want to see Hachikuji for her lovable personality. I still want to see Kanbaru for being the one you can (secretly) rely to. I still want to see Nadeko cause of her sadistic nature as the god. I still want to see Tsukihi/Karen for their time when Araragi needs them. I still want to see Ononoki for being the guardian who's always there. And lastly... I will always want to feel the love that Shinobu gives off at the whole series. Welp, bit cringey at the end but, who can blame me? Only way to tell feelings is to express it. But for others to 'understand,' you need to 'feel.' |

Daaaammnnn, that was really really good, once again, Shaft proves itself worthy of our time, also Nisio(damn author who cuts hairs). Anyway, the ending was really good. The conclusion was quite something. Going by Araragi's nature, I knew that he was going to do something about Ougi and not let her fall to the darkness, honetly though, I had my doubts at first, but well, Araragi is Araragi, it would be unnatural for him just to let Ougi, knowing her true nature, die just like that. In the end, Araragi risked his life to save Ougi. Which is a good thing, I would have been kinda sad if she died. Hanekawa and Meme helped saved the day. 5/5 For this episode 9/10 for the entire series. |

This is pretty much one of the best series I've ever watched. I can't add much to what's already been said but this ending couldn't be more perfect.. right down to small things like Senjougahara's little 'tsk' of mild irritation when she initially sees Hanekawa with Araragi. The attention to character detail is just brilliant. 10/10. |

I didn't realize until the last few minutes that this really was the end of the main story in the Monogatari Series. I can't believe it's a story that even has an end. Though if my understanding is correct, there's still a lot left of this series to dive into. My heart swelled in a way I could've never expected during Shinobu's little narration at the end there... |

holy shit that ending was fucking fantastic. Best character development for araragi, instead of saving other people he saved himself in the form of ougi. I am very happy with Ougi's identity conclusion, big fucking twist to who she was aswell as what she was aswell as her almost farewell scene doing her justice as one hive mind outdoing around 4 specialists. I'm (of course) very happy she was kept alive and happy she didnt get a cliche ending. Honestly her revealment of not being a girl just kinda made me ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) a bit more towards her ngl. Her cute gweh sound made me fucking squeal at 5am, that shit was cute af. Someone also explain to me why the FUCK Oshino was just chilling in Antarctica in a Hawaiian Shirt while pandemonium was happening, oh well that was a fucking legendary entry from him saving araragi with the most legendary quote ever "You oh-so-violently pushed my cute little niece down. What are you planning to do?" big probs to Hanekawa for finding him all the way in bloody Antarctica. Lmao watching grown up shinobu (or at this point Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade) really grew on me, i think i love her way more in that form cus she seems like the type to pamper me. oh and that roll reversal with araragi sitting on her lap this time xd but the re-link scene was very wholesome, only reinforced their relationship. A fully powered kiss-shot with no need of a master, an araragi, still chose to be in his shadow once more in a weakened-ish statue. Personal preference i think a kiss-shot and araragi on a love relationship status would of been better xd, but hay i guess thats what kizu there for righhhhht? Ahhh i think ending it on the graduation day was a good choice, although we got glimpses of college araragi in Hana (and that i really wished they would show more of that part in the timeline) i think the massive achievement of passing secondary was a very positive and happy way to end the series. Overall, fucking loved this series. It was a massive roller coaster of laughs and tears, definitely the first anime i will remember when reflecting on the quarantine years in the future. Admittedly from being a massive Fate fan boy, this series has definitely taken no1 spot of favourite anime series. Honestly theres so much more i want to write about like amazing story and art style, character development throughout the series but i doubt it'll fit, so these are my final farewell's to this series cus i doubt anything will fill the void it leaves. heh...gweh |

I really thought the Author would get rid of Shinobu there but he got me again as he did in Kizumonogatari 3 |

// I know we still have Zoku Owarimonogatari, but honestly I could swallow it as the ending without any problem. It was good to see Sengoku after all, I thought she would remain the same weak girl who runs away from situations, but her haircut shows that she is progressing as a person and that makes me happy. Mayoi goddess, I thought the hair would turn white, but it seems to me that the slug actually ate the snake. Shinobu (or Kiss-Shot) said that she spent her whole life fighting, I am not surprised that she chooses to stay with Araragi. True happiness is found in trivial things (even though being a vampire is not the most common thing). For a moment I thought Araragi was going to give up on someone, but logic doesn't make sense to him, if he can save someone in front of him he will do it, even if it is himself. Meme's appearance was refreshing, but it was short-lived. It's good to see Hanekawa moving on, after all the suffering, things finally seem to be going right. As cliché as it is, I am a simple man, I cannot deny a happy ending, after all this adventure, things seem to end in the best possible way and that makes me happy. Thanks for all the Monogatari moments, thanks Shaft for adapting this, thanks Nision for sharing your story around the world, when I become fluent in English I promise to read each of your works with great affection. (Sorry for my baka english) |
