I was kinda disappointed by the ending, I wanted to at least see Hana and Kiyoshi be a true couple after the rejection. We also didn't get to see what happened to the other characters as well (in the future time wise.) I have many questions that were left unanswered in the final chapter: "Did the boys go back to prison?" "Are more boys going to come to the school?" (possible spinoff?) "Is Hana still working for the underground student council?"
Honestly, the author didn't do a good job of wrapping the ending up. He could at least do one of those endings where you see every character grown up and having families. I don't really regret reading the manga as a whole since I had a great time reading it but the ending did make me feel upset.

Greatly improved epilogue huh. It'd better be great like he said. This ending is just disappointing. Even if the ending is meant to be like that, it could've ended better imo. I enjoyed most of Prison School then this ending came. Sigh. I will still give it an 8.

Really weird ending, but at least the things that HAD to happen happened.

-No Kiyoshi x Chiyo
-Hana peed on by Kiyoshi again
-Hana's manko foreground

Still no Hana nipples tho'

That final arc, it was boring, it put a shame to the prior arcs of the manga, but that last chapter was awesome!
Fuck romance, fuck resolving plot points.
I got my perfect ending.
Even though it was rushed.

WOW What the fuck!?!?!!?!

I think the ending was brilliant and that it fits the theme of Prison School. The fact that it didn't give us a happy ending was cuck to Kiyoshi and Chiyo relationship.

Tbh, I wasn't really a fan of Chiyo and Kiyoshi relationship. It's just one of those fantasies where the hottest girl in your school falls in love with you all of a sudden.

I thought Hana was going to kill Kiyoshi or hurt Chiyo. But the fact that Kiyoshi was still wearing Hana's pantsu all along. Seriously, wtf were you doing Kiyoshi?

It look they were going to finish the manga with Kiyoshi and Chiyo being a couple. So finally at least one of the boys got their dream girl.

But man what a fast swoop. I agree that the cavalry arc dragged waay too long. And it should have ended at least 1 volume then we have a at least 2 new arcs going into this ending.

Will Mari come back to the campus after spending sometime overseas? What about Meiko and Kate? Did Andre and Risa made love after the date? Will Shingo and Anzu get back together? Joe and Cake-san? Gakuto and Mitsuko??

Will the chairman got out prison and go to Copacabana??? I also love how Mari leaves everyone behind like "I ain't dealing with any of your bullshit". Hana and Kiyoshi went into hiding and comfort with one another?

Chiyo becoming Mari 2.0 is just mind blowing. She finally snaps when the only boy she ever liked betrayed her at the end. What a mind fuck. I thought the silhouette at the beginning was Hana due to the hair. But since both of them have similar medium hairstyles. That was really a clever way to disguise it.

I also hope they would animate the rest of the manga in the near future. They have so many materials to make at least 35 episodes :)

I'm looking forward to the epilogue chapter and Hiramoto's next work!!! I'm still not changing the score. Since the journey and the batshit crazy events make up for the rushed out ending. It's not like there's going to be a perfect ending at all tbh. I mean, Gantz ending was a definition of rushed as hell, but the journey was still important and made up with the mistakes towards the end.

Ending made this manga pure trash for me, it skipped over a lot and then jumps to evil chiyo? Okay feels more like a set up than an ending. I think that could of been a really good next arc but as a ending it blows

I laughed. What a crazy ending. Sucks Chiyo got mind raped but I can only accept Kiyoshi x Hana. The cavalry arc really killed a lot of enjoyment and it never quite recovered after that so it sucks the manga isn't able to have a proper ending. Lots of threads left loose but at least he brought back the underwear exchange and the fact that ever thing Kiyoshi has said to Chiyo was a lie.

There's an epilogue upcoming in the finale volume so I'm hoping for some consolation Hana x Kiyoshi scenes.

I'm kinda disappointed but at the same time I'm ok with it? I didn't really want to see Kiyoshi x Chiyo, I mean I fully expected it to happen and the fact it didn't is surprising but wish there was more to it? which we might get with the Epilogue.

I dunno, I don't really feel like I would have been super satisfied with any ending since it seemed sudden.

I'm just glad we're not just going to see another Boys in Prison thing, it would grow old.

The chapter was pretty good which i was really surprised cause the last arc, probably even 2 were such dissapointment. It was such an awesome and unique manga and then ... And that ending, there should be an epilogue chapter and i hope for some kind of explanation otherwise it was just a big letdown. Overall 7/10 but i feel like it could've been so much better.

To Kanon191,

You do not need to apologize. I did not feel offended in any moment and if I made that impression myself I apologize too. (English is not my native language, I'm still learning)

I understood what you meant and I agree that every work is subject to criticism and yours are perfectly valid. I just have a hard time understanding all this hatred that the last chapter has awakened in some longtime fans. Maybe it's because of the fact that I've been saturated after hundreds of exactly alike endings, cluttered with cliches. Everything was going for it after the penultimate chapter, but the Mangaka frustrated this expectation with urine, which made me laugh a lot.

Hana is imperfect. And it is this imperfection that makes her a much more interesting character than Chiyo in my eyes. I do not really like stories where the characters' roles are strictly defined as' in the end the hero defeats the villain and everyone lives happily ever after '. In this respect I appreciate the words of Stephen King: There is no happy ending, there is only the end.

My God, I forgot Joe! Yes I agree that it was underutilized and that developing it with Star-san would deserve more time. Maybe we would have it if the cavalry-arc had not been so long. A shame really.

I think mangaka will placate some of the fans' anger with the 'special epilogue'.

greetings.

To be fair, the ending wasn't that bad. Obviously the mangaka had more planned out but was forced to end his series abruptly. I think it's decent. Wasn't what I was expecting but not awful. It's an echii gag manga and probably one of the best. Cant wait for the epilogue:)

That was art. The editor tries to axe the series at the end, the manga industry turns their backs on him, and who knows how long her took drawing up those elaborate panels, and backgrounds.
So he says fuck you to everyone and shows a realistic ending, even though it was rushed he still manages to make it round out nicely by having Chiyo become the new USC president.
This manga was incredible, the use of a yaoi research gag as a B plot, the masochism battle between Risa and Meiko, it was always unpredictable and entertaining. Endings on the other hand are usually predictable and to simplistic, they are an unfit garnish on a tasty morsel like this. What I wanted was Hana x Kiyoshi, but nobody got what they wanted.
I'm sure this is a culmination for all of his work, his serious manga (which didnt understand antebellum slavery or racial differences at all) surely took much work attempting to be poignant and prolific, yet this series was the one who catapulted him to new heights. It was much more visceral than that piece of shit he wrote.

Ending was unexpected which I kinda liked.
This anime was already weird and crazy from chapter 1 which makes it different from the cliche anime stories.

I think the goal of the writers was to get out of the usual cliche endings and surprise the readers not necessarilly dissappoint the fans.

Although I myself would like to see a happy ending for Kiyoshi and Hana (like them dating) but I've already seen those types of endings before and this ending is definetily unique.

I hope there will a good epilouge though. :)

Blueballs of an ending since I was expecting this week's chapter to actually wrap it up, but the real final chapter isn't gonna be until spring so hopefully we end up with a better conclusion by then.

Though the last few arcs have been underwhelming, I still found there to be great moments throughout and still stands out as one of the best achievements in ecchi/comedy manga.

When Prison School was at its best it was glorious. The last quarter of the manga was not as great though. Nevertheless, one of the funniest and batshit crazy manga ever written.

I only followed Bleach for a couple months and then it ended, so it wasn't that big of a deal for me, and I wasn't a fan of the manga to begin with so...but I've been reading Prison School for over a year and a half, plus I suffered through the whole cavalry battle thing, chapter by chapter, and then I get THIS. Probably the shittiest way the Hana ending could have been done.

What a sad ending to a manga that had so much potential. After reading this chapter i felt like i wasted my time by reading the to long ending arc. I was so close to dropping this manga several times by the end but i told myself that it all had to lead to at least something. And i understood what Akira Hiramoto was going for with the ending but it was just not earned at all and ended up to be one of the biggest time wasters i have read to this day.

All this ending did was end the manga. Everybody was doing fine before that last chapter. You me to tell me that Chiyo turned just like that?! After everything she's been so understanding? Also, what of Hana and Kiyoshi? Even in a "settling" situation, they love each other's company. Just a strange, abrupt "The End" in my opinion.

for me ..this is the perfect way to end .i dont know either the reader are kids or woman but for a good story and unpredictable elements lover like me this is so great than common romance ending ..i think in the end ,kiyoshi choose hana bcause she is pure naive and her feeling built naturally and honest opposed to what have been said at last that his(kiyoshi) relation with chiyo built from a lie.. while chiyo deserved to be evil in the end bcause i think that she is finally have a character(i dont see her function in the manga at all) ..in reality ,the good one cant always win with and live happily .the perfect turn around of chiyo is like some brainwashed by joker ..anyway ,the ending is good .stfu people and dont stressed out my beloved hiramoto akira .he might write a 2nd season because this manga deserve it ..hana background, who the boys will end up ,mari comebacks and more things we need to know ..i give supports to akira ..goodluck ,good job ,thanks so much .i love the ending ...

I know this is a gag manga, but that ending was horrible. It seems so abrupt. The whole series was great except for the calvary battle and this. If he can't be with the other girl, at least let kiyoshi end up with hana (who is also pervert). Theyre pretty compatible. I don't know if hana was trying to prove that kiyoshi is a pervert or if she truly likes him and did that out of jealousy.

I really loved this manga. Yet, that ending was absolutely terrible. It steadily went down the drain during the Cavalry Arc. It feels like the author was done and continued just because the manga was selling well. There was no soul left. It’s with a heavy heart thatIi have to part ways with it.

I heard this manga ends so I binge read all the chapters after anime airs/prison arc.
First, I think it is really bad and feel betrayed, I mean:
-the story seems trolled me, how could possibly they didn't show the Wet Tshirt contest that always mentioned in this manga (the paradise dream for the boys). The whole Cavalry battle story and Kiyoshi prepare for confessing story etc.
-the plot seems confusing I mean, there are so many character development but didn't work in the end (except andreXrisa). It's like author push a lame events to show the chemistry between the caracthers that make the whole arc destroyed and boring.

However that is my first impression, but now I think differently and have some theories.
-Wet Tshirt contest was never intended to show because if it really happen, they boys would just squirming and tpuching all the girls like when Shingo and Joe did in Cavalry arc.
-Author feel sorry and want to forget the long drag arc, It showed when Risa always ask Andre about the memories when they together and Andre simply say he is forgot.
-Chiyo X Kiyoshi X Hana, the whole ending chapter just filled with these 3 caracthers only means the author want to F*CK UP THIS MANGA SO BADLY WITH SIMPLE A CONFESSION AND A TWIST. Where is yakiniku party ? Where is tanabata festival ? Where is everyone excatly on this manga ? Want us to wait in Epilogue to happen ? Please don't make excuse you shit author don't ever write manga again.

To be fair, since it is a gag manga I can partially see why it ended this way. However, it's a very risky move since (1) It goes against the popular demand and (2) It is an abrupt and rather inconclusive ending. Prison School has pulled a lot of these types of cliffhangers between volumes to leave everyone on edge but this ending just seems like a poor attempt to leave the audience in suspense.

Hopefully the epilogue will be more conclusive, because if it isn't the score may drop pretty drastically xD.

10/10 masterpiece of a manga. The ending was short, but I felt it captured the Prison School "essence." Cock blocked until the end. Having the sweetest character mind break and become cruel? That's just awesome. It was sadly probably axed and that's why it felt rushed, but that ending didn't leave me feeling angry or sad or anything . It just left me saying "wow."

Minna-san instead of fighting each other, why not support author-san? We all can clearly see that the ending is rushed but I believe that author-san would still like to write more about his mangaka. I can never accept the ending, in fact this is the work of the organization!! How can they abruptly end something that is so glorious??!!

Perhaps by ending it like that the company that his working for, if we demand, maybe they'll reconsider? The Ending is just too much....

I expected a weak ending, it turned out better than what I thought it would. Kiyoshi confirmed to be trash and hana gets her sweet revenge. Chiyo turning out to be a men-hater makes her actually interesting for once.
I was a fan of hana X kiyoshi but I realised hana deserves a lot better than kiyoshi, he's so dumb and spineless, so I support this ending where he loses both love interests lol

Also interesting how every other character got a big fuck you and the author just focused on those three. Sooo many stories left unsolved. Ahh well, it started great but slowly declined. It's better to come to an abrupt ending than to drag the series bloated corpse for another year or two. Let it die while it has a little dignity.

I actually only recently began reading the manga and finished whole in just 3 days. The ending definitely came out of nowhere and caught me off guard.

regarding Kiyoshi and Hana, since my memory is fresh, this a pasted comment I posted to a friend, you can tell what my mood was at that moment.

"I dont mind the fact this manga started with fact that "men are garbage" and ended the same with "men are garbage" but if I had to change one little thing it would be killing Hana Until the last chapter I wanted to ship them, but that will never happen again."

Why? She is a total yandere. The one that proved Kiyoshi was a "creep" while no one realised that it was her own fault that Kiyoshi turned out like that. Kiyo didnt ask to see Hana pee, she did ask likewise and thats the difference between normal and a creep. And for the record, shoving a forbidden part up someone's face would drive any normal heterosexual male wild. Its not our fault that our sexual desire is greater, blame mother nature or god on that. Thanks, bi*ch, you managed to mentally fu*k him and then mentally fu*k his lover just so no one can love him anymore. Men may be pervs, but women are psychopats.

I'm hoping that the extended epilogue announced for April 2018 will shed more light"
