| Thats because .hack//Roots is the prequel story to the .hack//GU games,it should be left with an opening so the games continue the story. Project .hack// is interlinked so they don't usually go well as a stand alone,its best to watch/play/read them all in close enough order although I guess theres quite alot to the series at this point ^^' |

| I found this series to be more boring that Sign was and it had a worse ending. Both series could be defined as lots of talking with no plot progression. I love the video games but really did not like either series. At least Sign did something. This gets a 3/10. |

I know this is a discussion, but I gotta ask, will watching future .hack's (such as returner, trilogy etc) tie up these loose ends - mostly noteably about Shino? |

The appearance of Skeith is foreshadowing for things to come @.@ I'd mention why to the Azure Knights being there but that would be a spoiler which is explained in the G.U. games. As for the ending it is much like .hack//SIGN was to IMOQ and has a time difference of afew months between them. However .hack//G.U. continues Haseo's story so you can see what happens by playing them (or watching playthroughs online). |

| Somethings... Phyllo was a great character, I think his personality or situation also relates a little bit to his voice actor. I really liked Suburou and other side characters since they were interesting and realistic people who brought flavor and sanity to the main line Tabby's character development was mostly good and somehow made sense, prefer her and other characters to Haseo Oh my goodness, Silver Knight appeared! |

 In most cases, the MAL Average Scores don't mean anything, here is a question: were the works made before 2000 all shit? Why are they so damn scarce in the Top 50? Think about how MAL is quite literally a filtered amount of the Anime fanbase. Here's a timeline of the Top 15 in which you can check that, almost always, the scores are affected by the freshness, popularity and other factors that have nothing to do with quality. |
