Some good endings, which, for me, ended their series resolving the majority of its plot points and tying them well, while having a satisfactory conclusion are:

-Katanagatari
-Blood+
-Steins:Gate
-Madoka Magica (the TV series, not the Rebellion movie)
-FMAB
-Code Geass R2

There's also 91 Days ending that, despite not being "conclusive", it has that ambiguous ending some Hollywood movies have that I really liked, even when I don't tend to like those kind of endings in an anime.
And the endings of Evangelion (both the TV Series and EoE), even though a bit... "weird" (for a lack of a better word), where very well-done imo. Especially the one of the series, since they managed to made something good with a blatant lack of budget.

Yay Listing Thread!

There are several anime that I have seen with great endings, but there are two anime endings that surpass the others that I have seen:

Gunbuster and Gungrave.

The endings of both of these anime left me speechless.

Yes, Geass S2 ending is awesome. I also like Bebop and Persona 3 (both in game and movie) endings. Psycho-Pass S1 ending, the part that repeated the beginning of the story, really impressed me too.

Yup, nothing compares to those two, also R3 is coming and most likely it will shit on R2's ending(Even though I didn't like it).

Ashita no Joe and Rose of Versailles, i can't think of an ending that had more impact than those two.

Both series directed by Dezaki Osamu.

All of them had an amazing ending

-School Days
-Bakuman
-Assassination Classroom
-Cowboy Bepop
-Plastic Memories
-Toradora
-Your Lie in April
-Hachimitsu to Clover
-Anohana

and especially FMAB.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

Completely agree with Code Geass R2.
I can see why some people are worried that the new season coming out with tarnish it.

Gungrave, Fate/Zero and Gankutsuou are my favorite series' endings.

Oshii is probably the only director that loves dogs. He thinks he's a dog himself.

That's right, its slime! It will dissolve your clothing slowly before my eyes!

The ending of this thread would be much better than any anime endings.

No..

The existence of this thread and its ending is truly better than any series...

The ending of Pupa was the best one because it was extremely deep and symbolic of the uncertainty of the characters' future.

My favorite ending is definitely HxH2011, the inital goal is wrapped up in a very simple and fitting manner of meeting his father atop the world tree.

A few other noteworthy endings are:
The final parts of Shiki
Requiem of the Phantom
FMA:B
Psycho Pass season 1
Prison School

I didn't like the ending of Gurren Lagann (even when I consider it as one of the best series ever made), it felt too over the top (let's make this robot into a even bigger robot, again and again and again), and all the journey for a bittersweet ending from which I felt nothing.

Its exceedingly over the top nature is the main reason I liked it so much, but to each their own.

Why tho Gungrave was so predictable it hurt.(It was a good classic until ep 13 if i remember correctly)

i dont think there can be a best ending, but some of my favs. that are really cathartic and have the most closure to me
-texhnolyze
-monster
-shinsekai yori
-tatami galaxy
-millennium actress
-Jin Roh
-Nana (although plotwise it kind of sucks, but meta wise I like it, cause the audience is like Hachi, waiting for Nana to return)

Beautiful, exciting, epic, invites to self-interpretation, and personally I really love when everything goes to shit in a non-gratuitous manner.
