anyone got any good reccomendations? The story itself doesn't even have to be sad, if finishing the show afterwards left you sad, that's also okay. You could check out my profilemto get the general idea of what i like, but really any reccomendation is welcome.

I got some anime that left me sad after i watched the endings, though my definition of sad might be different hehe :3

I think it's Gakkou Gurashi. The ending is so good that it saddens me a bit.
Yoru no Yatterman. The ending left me sad, especially when the ending episode is so bad and so cliched.
Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, just plain sad watching the ending
Kuzu no Honaki. I think the correct word i'm going to say here is agony instead of sad :v Honestly, i kept reacting in agony everytime an episode ends.
Haifuri. The ship!!!
It's time to play the Game folks!

I hope that you know; there is an OVA to Mirai Nikki. You probably missed it or haven't seen it.

Watamote depressed me like no other. Not just sad about how the events turned out, no... It made me feel crap about my own life. May not happen for you if you can't relate...

Angel Beats can leave some in tears, both for the characters, and for the fact that it was shortened.

Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt's whole atmosphere is some real folk blues.

Speaking of which, Cowboy Bebop. Carry dat.

Gunslinger Girl... that was some ending.

Some of them will be Nagi no Asukara, D.Gray-Man and Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom.

I don't watch anime that would make me sad or depressed. I always check beforehand if it has a happy ending or not. In worst case, I drop the middway if smell that something is fishy and I confirm my fears. Last case for Katanagatari. When I found out what was going to happen i dropped the anime before getting too invested into it.

I only watch happy anime series. I'm already fucking depressed as it is, why would I deliberately make my life worse by watching depressing shit? I watch anime (if I watch any since I haven't been doing it nearly at all as of late) because I want to escape my boring reality and immerse myself into a happy one.

- Charlotte
- Akame ga Kill
- Fairy Tail
- Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Definitely FMA:B had brought me the most depression as I was so attached to the anime.
