Lol that new kid is funny, almost like a troublemaker.

I find it more funny at how Sakura and Rinne dealt with him as well. Wasn't expecting an otherworldly crocodile to be causing trouble this episode though.

Little Shinigamis practice their profession. Rinne is in charge of the little boy, Shouma. He is ambitious, but timid at evil souls. He's not very happy about staying with Rinne. The soul of lady + alligator, huh? Shouma took Rinne's scythe and thought Rinne took care of soul by scythe not his ability.

It seems like alligator is looking for the lady, so it first showed her face. The real lady is alive and also looking for the alligator. They lived like a real sisters. It became a big trouble with Shouma involved. The lady showed up and calmed it. Noto-san voicing the lady and even Pile involved (a lady's soul)?

Another ep. with Shouma, but involved with Masato meddling again.

Shit, that made me tear up a good bit. Seeing a pet move on finding his owner again, i knew that this would be coming, but it still made me cry.

Even the Narrator can't be 100% safe when saying that "word" in front of Gran... I mean, Tamako. As expected from distinguished Shinigami. LOL
So it's like Rinne has his own "Kouhai" or something like that. And the "ability" he can pass on to the kid is making an artificial Rose. LOL

Pretty cool how the Shinigami school has a field assignment thing along with sort of like an apprenticeship system

Even though Shouma is a stubborn brat, I'm looking forward to seeing him learn and interact with Rinne more

Other than that, this story with Chibi and the girl was sweet and that ending was very touching and emotional :'')

I just saw that roughly 10K people are watching Kyoukai no Rinne (2016) compared to the 80K that watch Mayoiga (but still complain it's horrible, want to drop it, have dropped it, claim that's it's a comedy but still continue to patronage it), funny how that works.

I'll admit it, I cried especially when Chibi returned to normal and embraced with his owner. That was so touching and heartbreaking. I didn't cry when I read it in the manga but somehow the seiyuu for Chibi (whose voice was suuuper cute) and his owner's seiyuu whose voice was really calming made me cry.

The guy that was selling the crocodiles was identical to Yotsuya from Maison Ikkoku (another Rumiko manga)

Shouma is such a brat, ignoring a poor animal's story! Chibi was so cute! I wasn't expecting such a touching relationship between a girl and an alligator T-T

That was HanaKana as Chibi. Lols. It's funny (and cute) to hear her voice come out of that alligator's deadpan face. Nice story, too.

That got me a bit emotional, ngl.

Even the narrator isn't safe from Tamaiki's wrath. lol at his lecture on Alligators though.

Chibi was pretty cute.

Aww that was an unexpectedly touching episode. I like how the ending was heartwarming despite the whole episode being comedic, as this show is usually. It was well done.

Shouma is such a spoiled brat...he reminds me of my little bro. Although it seems like Rinne and Rokumon are just whatever about Shouma, haha.

I thought I was hallucinating when I saw HanaKana in the credits as Chibi. Holy. That's definitely not a voice I've ever heard from her, amazing. It reminds me of Kayanon voicing Chito-san in Flying Witch, in that it was surprising as well.

It might sound awkward but I dropped some tears for Chibi, even though they gave it an absurd overlay to fit the main concept of the series.

And this was the last episode Shouma appeared in...right?
If you see that my post is exactly 1 month old (or more) from when it was posted... Don't waste your time, especially when you want to reply with something petty & insignificant. Assume that I've moved on (because I have).

Awww Chibi :'(

But yeah hope that's the first and last we see of Shouma - that preview doesn't look promising though!

Poor Chibi, he was a great alligator.
Shouma is funny, he should live with Rinne until the end of the anime.

Ugh so cute. Love chibi. Loved Tamako calling out the narrator lolol

Speaking of the narrator, I really hate the over-explaining. I know it’s that way in the manga too, but you don’t have to explain his Haori every single time.

Damn. Shinigami kids have it rough. That being said, I have no sympathy for this particular kid though. Spoiled brat.

I feel more bad about the pet alligator. Poor Chibi. The voice actress really sells the character.

Also, WTF? Is that Yotsuya selling illegal pets? Seems like he didn't age at all since Maison Ikkoku in the 80's. He's gotta be an alien or something.

Sucks that this kid is a recurring character.
