My apartment faces the mountains, actually! The view is gorgeous! I lived in Edmonton for a while - a couple times actually, about 6 years apart - and I found it to be.. not the most attractive city (aside from the mall, which I spent A LOT of time at! lol), and ridiculously cold in the winter. And the "downtown" area of Edmonton is a lot more difficult to get to, and it doesn't make sense because you have to go down this large hill and a bridge to get there. And then it isn't even that pretty. lol Calgary has more of a metropolitan vibe than Edmonton. It's a lot classier, prettier. And the winters are way more mild. Plus, pretty views of the river and mountains. And way better transportation, because the LRT goes EVERYWHERE. I hate buses, so I love that the LRT goes everywhere. lol |
