Hm episode was alright. The usual slice of life stuff with some forest exploring.

I think Machi should be a lot more careful when riding her bike down a hill these days though. RIP bike

R.I.P bike that no one wants to ride on.

Lol, this show has so much potential but I think it gets too late with the adult jokes.
Like the last one, it progressed really good with the humor.
Natsu is bluntly true with his every line.

This season has a lot of good slice of life comedies. This show adorably hilarious. I just love how the bear is so socially aware.

Oh my god, that fucking bear was such a troll when the bridge collapsed and scratching his ass when he sensed Machi needing him, but it was great because he's a fucking bear! XD Still getting those Bear in the Big Blue House vibes too. XD Loved Machi's defiant expression as she showed off her purchase too. XD Was the girl on the manga she was reading from something? I feel like I've seen her before...

It seems that Machi have a very bad "stat" of luck, Except when she finally meet Yoshioka. Too bad there's no 3 funny kids like earlier in this episode.

I cannot believe how hard I laughed during this episode it really caught me by surprise. I love how miko planned everything ahead of time and it barely worked out. miko had a lot of expressions this episode but natsu had laughing every time.

Damn, that scene where Miko was sitting in an armchair in the middle of the forest was straight out of some fairytale or something.

Somehow I really don't like how Natsu is being so unsupportive of her efforts. If anything, all I see is some pedo-bear who wants to keep his favorite girl in the mountains for himself. He has all this knowledge of the outside world, and yet refuses to share or teach Miko about it at all.

He's like a dad who refuses to let his daughter grow up and leave the nest.

There were so many little things that made me laugh in this episode: Natsu wanting to type his note in Word, Machi trying to figure out what "heat tech" meant, the bike with the heavy but soft seat, and so on. It had me smiling the whole time. I'm loving this show.

RIP Bike.

I thought this episode was pretty damn funny. Still not a huge fan of the perverted humor with Machi. It's like with BUER from Pandora. I just get a bad feeling whenever the innuendos occur as Machi is drawn as if she was still a young girl. (Even though IIRC she's an adult now) That leads to some rather unfortunate implications.

Or bikes that she steals, as in this case.

She could've at least told him, before or after she punched Yoshio, that she had totaled his bike. Mikooooooo-san!!!!

Well at least the first episode emphasized that the bear was neutered. But I also doubt that it won't stop certain people in making certain books.

While to some extent I don't disagree with you, on the other hand maybe from Natsu's point of view he may be thinking that it shouldn't be a bear's job to teach a human how to live in a human world. She seems to spend all of her free time with him rather than her family (though, given what we already know of her family I don't blame her), and I think what he's been trying to tell her is that up till know she herself had not made the effort to learn about these things, even though she could easily have done so. Even he didn't expect her to try to trek through a mountain forest, rather than ask somebody for a ride.

As for his age, based on what we see in the OP they may be the same age, or she may even be older than him, since at one point he is even smaller than her.

Given the stuff with the photo album at the start of the episode I get the impression that a lot of it is to do with Natsu wanting to keep Machi as the cute little crybaby who clung to him as a child. Machi doesn't do herself any favours but I think Natsu is definitely being overbearing and should give her more freedom or she'll come to resent him.

But that conflict between him wanting to keep her safe in her sheltered bubble and her desire to grow and become more independent is what's so cute about their interactions imo. Doting father and rebellious teenager but under a slightly different guise.

Yeah, i think thats the sorta theme theyre going for. Also I agree with Cratex in that i feel that the reason natsu is so worried about her going to the city is not really because she is lacking in a lot of common city knowledge (i mean that definitely plays a part obvs), but more so because since she's lived away from civilization for so long shes not really that resourceful (for example, she doesn't think of asking for help with the assignment from others when its the most obvious thing to do, and when she runs into trouble and gets lost she doesn't really know what to do at all, and could have gotten herself even more lost)

(I see what you did there). Maybe, but I'm not so sure. Why then would he have given her a task that specifically forced her to go out into the world? Seems to me the task he gave her was actually carefully thought out - simply go buy a piece of clothing, something a girl her age would normally be doing, which turned out doing so was a challenge for her, yet not to difficult as to discourage her. He could easily have given her something that would have been far more difficult for her.

I do agree he's obviously not wanting to let her go. But I also don't see him unreasonably trying to hold her back. To me it seems more like he is testing her resolve to do so. Forcing her to wake up, so to speak.

Lol buy Heattech as UNIQLO. I remember mentioning the Heattech line to my friend and she was like, what? Is that some sort of electronic? Reminded me of Machi when and how she concluded something similar.

I thought I'd like this because it sort of reminds me of Gingitsune with Gintarou (giant bipedal fox) and a miko, except the art here is cuter, but I find the comedy alright here, and Gingitsune was on the more heartwarming side. This isn't for me, but at least people here seem to like it :) I'll just stick to the Tanaka-kun and Flying Witch for my SoL/comedy this season.
