No.

Kyoani is already dead, P.A. Works stole their talent.

it already like that from original source, it's not that different, really. original source already has "moe" style to begin with. the fuck is this ignorancies?

OT: when it anounced as movie, i am more affraid about pace, but looking at the PV, we don't see 2nd part of manga (making movie story), i hope it's good sign that they will not rushed things and adapt first part only instead. adding some filler in between is not harmful. i also don't mind if they go with original ending, since many people (not me obviously) dissapointed with ending.

No it looks fine. See the manga panel above.

It will be nice if they make an original ending. Well was waiting for this, hope they don't disappoint.

I love the production team. The scriptwriter of the ARIA series (and other great slice of life series like K-On!, Non Non Biyori, Kimi to Boku, Tamayura etc.), the character designer of some of KyoAni's best productions and the director of great movies such as TLS, K-On! the Movie and Disappearance. I cannot see this anime disappointing me no matter what.

Why the hell didn't they turn this into an anime series instead of Phantom World (a.k.a Otaku Pandering The Anime)?! The manga is short, it's finished, and most importantly IT WAS ACTUALLY FUCKING GOOD!

Because when Kyoani animates their own property they make more of a profit from it. They have the rights to the source materials sales as well as the disk sales. Regardless of how you feel about the anime its a business model that works. Which is why they do that.

I'd like to think anime fans in Japan buy things depending more on how good the show was, but yeah I know what you're saying is true. The only thing they made last year was Hibike Euphonium, I assume that it did pretty well in sales considering how good it was, but then again it's not an original work so that's even more reason KyotoAni needs revenue.[/quote]

Not a fan of the designs to be quite honest, though I havent read the manga but I checked some few panels... I prefer the manga style but I want to see how it can work.

But eh lets see how it goes I guess.

I heard, KyoAni bought the rights for Hibike from it's publisher. So only Amagi was not their property from the recent KyoAni shows.

Designs are ok, I would have gone for harsher features for Ishida though, these are a little too gentle for me.

Vol 6 & 7 are a lot shorter than the earlier volumes so it should be fine. They're also what many refer to as the disappointing ending, in many ways because they're so short. Can't imagine the film will do a much different job.

I'm happy with these character designs, they ring pretty true to the manga's art, if not better.
the ending to the manga was forgettable, so I'll happily watch this. besides, based kyoani... it'll be nice to look at, though I'll be interested to see how a lot of the scenes turn out. a lot of it was really hard to read because of how gut-wrenching it was, especially early on...
